Fantasy Premier League 22/23

Certain minutes + penalties + being a talisman player always greedy for goals are enough for me to be convinced he's still the best Pool asset by far, even if he indeed might end up being outscored by the strikers. Then again, I can't be bothered to predict the tool of Klopp and his rotation, it put me off Jota last GW and I probably won't him in 33 either. Hopefully avoiding him pays off, but it's a gamble - EO will be high. I'm also very worried going without TAA, but if I buy him now, I can't afford Salah.

The benching dilemma is real for everyone this GW I guess. I can only play one of Shaw (tot), Mac Allister (nfo) or Saka (mci). It's between the midfielders but really a coin flip there, I think City's defence is rather bad and Arsenal has to go quite offensively, they need a win no matter what. It's Pep derby though, and the Poundland Lego version has 0% chance of a good result against his master, so playing Arsenal assets over a Brighton lad facing dire Forest feels like lunacy. Tough stuff

I’d go with Saka. Took him out of my team and he gets double digit haul  Good news is I don’t have him this week either so he is bound to punish me again!

If you can swap Mac for March then play him. He has also punished me for leaving him on the bench. Brighton should demolish Forest (on paper at least) and have a decent double in 34 v Wolves. They may not do much v Man Utd though.

Waiting for Peo roulette and Grealish to be dropped

Press on and field this? Or do the wildcard? @CassiusClaymore @Rhyme Animal @Cutch @Samid @Dirty Schwein @ROFLUTION @Maluco

Steele (De Gea)
Shaw Chilwell Trippier
Grealish Mitoma Martinelli Saka
Haaland (c) Watkins Kane

MacAll, White, Botman

Work leader has Salah, and a FH left - which he'll use in week 34.

It feels like a rush to play the wildcard with 1 day notice, and feels wiser to hold off for a fuller picture of what's what as the wildcard will need to cover week 34 and 37 doubles.

1.7m in the bank.
Could do Kane to Jota, or Chilwell to TAA

I think the chances of a Liverpool clean sheet are small and Kane is always good for a goal. I say you hold it. With so many players playing a lot of games, it will give you an idea on rotation/injuries too.

If you hit it now, you will probably kick yourself when a couple of picks need changed before 34 deadline

Definitely. Would totally hand the initiative to the leader as I wouldn't be able to match any new developments that come to light this next week.
Have to forget Salah, if he does well this week he doesn't. Will have him after this week all season, along with many others, who the leader won't have, he can only have them 1 week.

I think I made a mistake using my WC but it’s done now.

Team is
Ederson
TAA Dunk Guéhi
Mitoma Rashford Grealish Salah
Haaland Isak Watkins

Iversen Martinelli Trippier N Williams

0.01 ITB

Is Ederson worth it? Brought him in for the double in 34 v Fulham, West Ham plus Leeds after. I could swap him for Johnstone who has good fixtures and would give me 1.1m ITB

I think Sanchez is back as Brighton No 1?

Any advice or tips from you legends is great appreciated!

Brighton have a DGW most weeks until the end so definitely triple up on them... Easiest way for you is the GK.

Maybe swap Guehi for Shaw or Stones as Manchester teams have 2 DGWs. You can probs get a United and city defender for Guehi and Neco if you downgrade ederson to Sanchez.

Otherwise your looking decent.

played my wild card.... now just continually shuffling as still can't decide what's best. This is the current draft. Will definitely change again.

pope
Iversen

trippier
Trent
Shaw
Estupian
Dunk

martinelli
Rashford
Bruno
Grealish
Mitoma

haaland
Isak
Jota

weighing up whether to swap Trent/Bruno for De Bruyne/Guehi

Check Bruno's fitness because I'm not sure if he's available for next game. KDB/Salah might be better in that slot, some money to be saved on expensive bench and pope (Steele a steal?)

Any changes to the below team? Any must haves? I literally do not know who to bench from this team. All look like scoring points this week.

Raya Steele
Trippier Burn Mee Shaw Estupinan
Saka Mitoma Martinelli Rashford Grealish
Haaland Kane Watkins

G2g but that’s even worse benching dilemma than mine. Between Saka/Martinelli I think.

Wondering pros and cons myself.

Pro is you can get TAA, Jota and Salah in early doors, as West Ham are still poor.

Downside is you've got to commit to the United and City players you want now, when a few will be at the risk of injury and rotation. And anything can happen and you're firefighting.

Also, any wildcard you do needs to cover the teams doubling 34 and 37 really if possible. Although Brighton and United are both.

Late to replying, but I’m sticking for this week. Partly because I haven’t had time to even consider a WC team, but also because I want some more information ahead of wildcarding. There’s so many doubts that could be cleared up in this round of fixtures. For example, Arsenal lose against City and I’m selling all their players.

Draft no. 97 reads

De Gea Steele
TAA Stones Lindelof Burn Coufal
KDB Gakpo Antony March Mitoma
Haaland Jota Isak

1.2m in the bank.

Feels extremely underwhelming somehow. Jota and Gakpo will probably share minutes, and will get replaced with Darwin in starting lineup at least once, but they at least give me a way of catching up as opposed to just taking Salah.

Jesus Watkins haaland front line.. get rid of Jesus ?
I did have him in my FH team this week where he had an xG of 1.4 or something and returned 2 points. If I were you, I'll take him out. Much better striker options out there.

Yea currently have Saka on the bench but it feels very wrong. I can drop one of Watkins or Kane and go with 5 midfielders but Villa are very good at home recently and Kane is always good for a goal. :annoyed:

Dave with our fixtures seems risky

Thanks mate!

I can’t afford Shaw and Stones sadly! Price increases have crucified me. I thought I would have money funds.

Rolling with
Sanchez (seems to be No 1 again)
TAA Trippier Dunk
March Rashy Grealish Salad
Haaland Isak Watkins

Iversen Martinelli Stones N Williams

0.3 m ITB

I’d love to have Kane but Spurs are so bad the minute. Mason might help by going back to basics. Kane and Son to Man Utd in the summer!

Rashford cap anyone? Spurs are not great right now and I hope we are confident. If Bruno out we could struggle though.

I mean that and he looks like he's playing with an injury. Boring but reliable Haaland pick for me.

Which combo out of these do people think is better for 34 (and beyond)?

A) TAA, Salah, Isak
B) Stones, Salah, Jota

I've got £0.3m wriggle room on both. Kane, Saka and Chilwell the make weights. First seems more secure but the second more differential. Think Stones could haul in the dgw.

Yeah need someone to boost my rank. 160k is fine, but will try to gain. I guess Salah could be the one.

Haaland might score, but do not think he goes crazy. Although yeah safest to pick him.

I guess since it is Arsenal he will be like 170% EO so gains still possible although I badly hope Arsenal win.

Bench Grealish, Martinelli or the United legend himself... Solly March?

He’s not living up to my benchmarks so I’ve decided to … bench March.

*Puts on David Caruso sunglasses and walks away*

It used to be easy to track how the top leagues measured up against each other. I'm curious, where is the RedCafe league in comparison to other leagues. This league seems to have so many top managers.
We also have me... Bringing the entire average down

Arsenal who just conceded 3 goals to Southampton, 2 to West Ham and 2 to Liverpool…?

Into context, that’s Arsenal who just conceded 7 in their last 3 matches, whereas West Ham, who Salah plays, have conceded 2 goals in their last 3 PL matches.

Also, Arsenal are bottlers, and this is a game that matters.

They’ll get thrashed. Lose by at least 2 goals with Jesus missing a few sitters ‘that could’ve changed the complexion of the game if they went in’, and everyone saying they ‘were in the game until x player made a mistake’.

Would just be insane sod's law for him to blank v Southampton then score v City wouldn't it!

But yes, Isak or Jota might be good shouts.
I'm on Kane, but could be tempted on either.

Would be surprised if it's a thrashing, but expect City to win.

Doesn't seem the game to bring Rashy back in for to be honest. Has looked rusty since his niggles.

Definitely a watch and see job before inevitably bringing him back in on the wildcard. Need to work out which other United, as Bruno plays a bit deep, and Shaw will lose a lot of his appeal if central.

WC team seems almost locked in for me.

DeGea Steele
TAA Stones Lindelof Coufal Burn
KDB Gakpo Antony March Mitoma
Jota Haaland Isak

+ 1.2m in the bank to make further moves. I don't feel entirely comfortable with all, e.g. think I may be taking unnecessary risk with Antony ahead of Rashford but I need differentials.

Think I would back Grealish, Salah and Rashford to out score KDB, Gakpo and Antony, looks good though
