Fantasy Premier League 22/23

Gakpo

People went crazy this FH

I think most free hitters I seen gained a lot mainly from Johnstone, but my friend who is a casual without free hit got 80+.

An attack with Isak Toney Kane attack.

If you are well set up either way the swings aren't gigantic as most not using free hit would own Martinelli, Saka and Salah and have attackers like Kane, Solanke, Toney, Isak, Watkins.

Dropped about 100,000 rank points but that was to be expected with all the FH's.
Now, I just need to figure out if it's worth dropping Kane to upgrade Billing who failed to get a return. Bournmouth play Southampton and Leeds, but those clubs will be fighting tooth and nail to try and climb out of the bottom three in the table.

If someone was well set up for this week without FH it means they're most likely gonna struggle GW34.

Exactly this.

fecking great we won at pens.

Saves the weekend.

Lindelof is really cheap might actually buy him for the double.

My friend got 3 Liverpool, 3Brighton and Rashford though and 2 Newcastle so pretty well set up. That friend could do Kane to Haaland easily, but do not want him and can easily get a City or United defender.

What are people who are WC-ing now and BBing in 34 going for then?

Going all in on United, City, Liverpool, Brighton and sprinkling some West Ham/Fulham on top or keeping the Arsenal/Newcastle lot on as well?

feck I think I did the wrong transfer... Did Chilwell to TAA when maybe Kane to Isaak would have been the better move this week.

Current WC draft with a strong look at GW34...

Ederson (Iversen)
TAA Stones Estupiñan Shaw (Zouma)
Salah Rashford Mitoma (March, Andreas)
Isak Jota Haaland

Isak to Martial for the FT next week and BBing then for 14 doublers (Iversen single v Everton).

Am I mental?

I'm gonna roll I think. West Ham away won't be a walkover for Liverpool like the last two were. Carry 2 into 34 and decide who to complete my dgw team with. Will be from Stones, TAA, Salah, Jota, Isak.

Only trouble this week is deciding who to bench. Maybe Mac Allister seeing as he's dropped deeper with Enciso in the side, although Veltman is now back? Bus team

Raya
Chilwell Trippier Estupinan
March Saka Rashford Grealish
Haaland Watkins Kane

Subs : DDG, Mac Allister, Shaw, Gabriel

Set up really well going forward. 10/11 doublers in 34, 6 in 36 and 9 in 37. Don't think I want any Chelsea in 37 either but we'll see. Would probably rather bring in an Arsenal player or 2 for the last couple. Hopefully they are still fighting for the title.

I wish I had your composure because I regret making my transfer early.

My plan over the next few weeks is to:

GW33-34: Chilwell, Martinelli & Kane to TAA, Salah & Isak
GW35: Henry to Estupinian.

Then I saw that Isak and TAA about to rise and Kane about to fall... so got spooked and did Chilwell to TAA. Think that's a mistake. Should have done Kane to Isak this week. And now that the price changes have happened, one more bit of price movement to the players named above makes it impossible to execute my plan.

45 points without a FH is probably a good score score in the circumstances. No Maddison and a Zinchenko 0 pointer were pretty annoying though.

Yeah I saw Isak, Trent rising and Kane falling overnight but money is not important to me at this stage of the season. I suspect my rival will wildcard this week so be even handier to wait and see what his team looks like going into 34. Also always a risk that someone gets injured and you need to do something different.

I'm gonna have to choose between Trent and Jota in 34 anyway so might as well leave that decision as late as possible. I suspect Jota will not play both where Trent will. I think basically my team will be one of these in 34 (both for -4)

DDG (Raya)
TAA Shaw Estu (Trippier) (Gabriel)
Rashy Salah Mac March Grealish
Haaland Isak (Watkins)

or

DDG (Raya)
Stones Shaw Estu (Trippier) (Gabriel)
Rashy Salah Mac March Grealish
Haaland Jota (Watkins)

Second one all the doublers. I'd bring in Isak the week after and Schar the week after that for my 3 Newcastle going into 36.

First rough draft.

Pope (Iversen)
TAA - Shaw - Stones (Dunk, Zouma)
Grealish - Salah - Rashford (March, Andreas)
Watkins - Haaland - Jota

Wildcard team
Pope, Ward
Trippier, Shaw, Stones, Estupinan, Lindelof,
Rashford, Salah, Mitoma, MaCallister, Grealish
Haaland, Kane, Iheanacho

Any improvements? I was thinking maybe Kane to Isak gives me money to upgrade elsewhere

20 points off top, but nip and tuck from me in 2nd to about 6th.

Ok to run with the below, with 1 transfer? Or any ideas of doing a wildcard a week ahead of schedule?
No Salah is the main risk.

De Gea Steele
Botman Trippier White Chilwell Shaw
Mitoma MacAllister Saka Martinelli Grealish
Kane Watkins Haaland (c)

Wildcard team
Pope, Ward
Trippier, Shaw, Stones, Estupinan, Lindelof,
Rashford, Salah, Mitoma, MaCallister, Grealish
Haaland, Kane, Iheanacho

Yeah I don't think you want Kane on a wildcard personally. I'd get Trent in as well ready for 34. So Trent and Isak in for Lindelof and Kane. Also Ward is not playing. Put Iversen or Steele in there. Finally I have him but he's playing deeper now so maybe March is better mid pick than Mac Allister.

Tiny green arrow on my FH with 66 points, so that was a bit disappointing.

Plan is to roll a transfer this week, but I have some trouble finding the best 11 for GW 33:

Kepa (Steele)
Trippier, Mings, TAA (Shaw, Estupinan)
Salah, Rashford, Mitoma, Grealish (Bruno)
Haaland (C), Watkins, Isak
0,3M ITB

There is definitely other 11s to put out there with this squad. Any suggestions?

Bound to be benching headaches now on the run in. Just got to make a decision and hope for the best. I think your starting 11 there is a fair shout.

Cheers for the help I've gone with it, don't usually like leaving Kane out but think it's worth it

It's a long story but I ended up spunking my free hit by mistake on gw10 :(. So it hasn't been a thought-through strategy to say the least. But I've tried to plan around it. I'm top of my league and 180k so not doing bad really. Think I've got a decent and flexible team that can navigate the next few gws OK. As always, luck is huge. E.g. that late Villa goal killed me yesterday.

I feel your pain. I feel like I got fairly lucky this week after being priced out of both Eze and Olise and thus deciding to jump back on the Andreas train!

I have got a lot of 50/50 decisions wrong in the past few weeks, most notably around captaincy as ive gone without Haaland since 29.

I'd be chuffed with a top 300k rank. I'd like to think next season will be far more serene to navigate!

Assuming most are wildcarding this week ahead of 34? I really can’t be bothered to sort my team out on a Monday.

So you could’ve just brought in TAA and / or Salah for 32, kept your FH and got a bigger score as well, capping Saka or Salah.

Mugged yourself! ;)

I missed the price changes so might as well roll at this point too, also hoping WHU away won't be so easy for LFC. Still going to be terrifying watching this having none of their assets and passing on TAA in great form, I wanted to buy him already now. 2FTs will come handy for next GW - Salah looks like a must for his two home games, I'm quite tempted by KDB too, can see him getting double digits against Arsenal and becoming an interesting pick. Saving this GW means Kane is a solid differential too and I can honestly see him scoring against us, so moving him for a hit doesn't strike me as the best idea. I really wish Martial was a good pick for our DGW in 34, I could still punt on him over Isak/Jota perhaps.

He's (Salah) actually playing quite wide. Both Gakpo and Jota had more shots than him against Forest. He's just got that extra security of starts over him than the other two though. You know Diaz and Darwin will get a game soon.

Well it would've needed a -8 to do that so in that scenario even if I'd have captained Saka I'd have been 20+ points worse off and without Haaland and another dgw mid I'd need to bring back in.

It's ok to just admit that you were wrong. :)

Certain minutes + penalties + being a talisman player always greedy for goals are enough for me to be convinced he's still the best Pool asset by far, even if he indeed might end up being outscored by the strikers. Then again, I can't be bothered to predict the tool of Klopp and his rotation, it put me off Jota last GW and I probably won't him in 33 either. Hopefully avoiding him pays off, but it's a gamble - EO will be high. I'm also very worried going without TAA, but if I buy him now, I can't afford Salah.

The benching dilemma is real for everyone this GW I guess. I can only play one of Shaw (tot), Mac Allister (nfo) or Saka (mci). It's between the midfielders but really a coin flip there, I think City's defence is rather bad and Arsenal has to go quite offensively, they need a win no matter what. It's Pep derby though, and the Poundland Lego version has 0% chance of a good result against his master, so playing Arsenal assets over a Brighton lad facing dire Forest feels like lunacy. Tough stuff
