Fantasy Premier League 22/23

Martinez going up in price. I'll take what little joy I can from that.

Don't shoot the messenger when Bruno inevitably scores this GW.
Nah there's more to it than that.

Subbing Bruno allows me to do a lot of stuff.

Negatives of selling:
Might finally get an attacking return
Has Forrest next
2x DGW coming up

Positives of selling:
Get Grealish this week
Keep Rashy on the bench so don't need to transfer him back in in case he is fit for GW34
Allows me to get Salah for DGW34 without having to sell Haaland or Kane
I can swap Salah back to Bruno for GW37 so technically, even that third positive above isn't as it seems
Avoid taking any hits in the run-in (barring injuries/suspensions)

Good plan. I'm getting Salah now.

Where will you wildcard?
34 looks ripe for that, so you'd just bring Rashy back there?

Current team with 1 free transfer this week.

Kepa
Shaw, Trippier, Zinchenko
Rashford, Saka, Mitoma, Martinelli
Kane
, Haaland, Watkins

Subs: Navas, Henry, Chilwell, Maddison

With 2 free transfers (likely Rashford/Shaw and Chilwell) I can make a full team to play in the BGW. It's not a great team though, so wondering if I should use my free hit for the BGW or the next DGW. Any advice?

If i were you I'd probably hold the FH for the double then. You've got 3 x Arsenal for 32. Maybe just need to add a sprinkling of Liverpool. You can't afford Salah without selling Haaland or Kane so Gakpo in for Rashford maybe? Chilwell out for whoever.

So Raya Vs Wolves (A) or
DDG Vs NFO (A) with chuckle brothers in front of him?

Same decision to make. Looks like Forest have scored in every home game this season bar Spurs in GW4. And as you say Chuckle brothers in front doesn't bode well.

Maybe I'll hedge my bets by starting Raya and Shaw (on the off chance Luke is fit and thereby instantly improving the defence) and bench DDG and Chilwell.

I'll do Rashy to Grealish, and have FH in week 32

My colleague and her husband, whom I do both of their teams, I just realised have both wazzed their freehits away ages back

Going to do their wildcards now, as otherwise they have about 5-7, and one has Aguerd and Bailey who aren't exactly nailed now.

Liverpool probably a smart pick in this circumstance as have 3 games of weak opponents and then a double in week 34

Thinking of Rashford (as no idea when he's back) to Olise as he's in good form and they have good fixtures. I don't trust Liverpool assets to start or get points is my problem with then. Like you say Chilwell to whoever the following week.

Liverpool, West Ham and Fulham play 32 and double 34.
Done a quick WC and came up with (team 32)

Iverson
TAA Zouma Trippier Gabriel
Bowen Salah Andreas Martinelli
Watkins Ings

Ederson
Botman Grealish Haaland

Bold
Double 34 (0.5 ITB)

Very similar to that, but I've left Kane in, as home to Bournemouth would be a mad week to take him out.

Got triple Newcy as they'll have a double later too. Then Zouma and Andreas as per yours.
Ramsdale in goal with Steele as my doubler for those weeks.

Steele, Haaland, Mitoma and Grealish all in there, to ride out 32 benched.

Will give a couple of weeks to take Kane value out to get Utd/Liverpool coverage for the week 34.

So looks like Shaw might be ok for the weekend. Play him over Chilwell? My worry is a 1 pointer but surely he either starts or he doesn't play at all. What's the point of risking him if he's not 100% ?

If I play Shaw then I'll definitely play Raya over DDG to hedge my bets as can't be confident of a cleanie with slab head in.

So you're doing your own team as well as your colleague's and her husband's? Why?! That sounds like an utter faff. If they can't be arsed to do it themselves, what's the point?

I do wonder this sometimes.

Basically I run a massive work league that has 80-90 in, and my colleague signed up, as did others in my team. After a few weeks I just started giving vague tips, but it's sort of progressed to this now.
This week was an utter nightmare with so few players playing in the blank, and no free hit, combined with the double soon after!

But basically this is the last big action and it's back to maintenance after.

In better news I'm up to 6th, a small handful of points off 2/3 with 2 chips left, so hoping I can storm the bigger money party.

For nothing else because Im the treasurer who already has the wad to hand :D

I feel like Forest will be us at their place. Not an easy fixture at all - esp with our injuries.

Is Grealish really the city pick? Maybe I'm overthinking it but feel like Foden is the better scorer when he's fit (v soon)

Not really convincing. You seem to have something more than just "money" in mind, when it comes to your colleague and the husband.

You guys

My genius calculations were utterly wrong. Apparently just the 0.9m too little wad.
Doh.

The peril of trying to view their values by scrolling through their team, rather than knowing the actual values!

Gonna have to go Iversen instead of Ramsdale.

FH32 thoughts....

Pope / Leno
TAA / Robertson / Trippier / Schar / Guehi
Salah / Saka / Martinelli / Maddison / Olise
Jesus / Watkins
/ Solanke

Think I might dodge Kane and put my chips on a Newcastle clean sheet at home.

Couple of stats.

Leicester have picked a grand total of.. 0 points vs teams in bottom half since the WC.

Also the team that has the worst home record in the league.

I think that guy is staying on the banned list for me for now.

This is purely because I know that now I've taken him out he's going to feck me in the ass in the immediate future.

I only have 9 outfield players for next week and have two Liverpool players as it stands (Salah and TAA)

Who would be the third Liverpool player folks would bring in ahead of the double and to play in 32?

Is Gakpo likely to start both games with Diaz back in training?
