Fantasy Premier League 22/23

Ah we do don't we. That might swing it then. I guess we'll maybe learn more about the injuries in the Seville presser which I assume is tomorrow?

Liverpool attack is starting to give me Man City vibes. Jota and Firmino are back. Diaz is back very soon. Darwin is back on the bench. Salah seems the most nailed but he might have just lost pens.
Yeah will wait for the pressers. Just ignoring price changes for now, far too many uncertain players to wait on.

Liverpool is gonna have rotation but on the plus side they are out of everything else. They can't get into top 4 now though so it's tough to say how much they turn up. Given how they played vs arsenal I think they will still turn up at home games. And they have Forest at home in 32 who are absolutely hopeless on the road. They just might batter them for fun. But all that is playing in me deciding who to get first between Salah and Grealish this GW as City now have the league to go for.

For pens unless Liverpool get a pen with Salah on the pitch and someone else takes it we just have to assume he's still on it. He looked insane from open play as well anyway.

Actually yeah looking at my ML rivals squad he's 25 points behind with WC and BB intact. I've got FH only.

Our squads both have DDG, Trippier, Chilwell, Shaw, Rashford, Saka, Maddison, Haaland, Watkins.

I've got Raya, Estupinan, Gabriel, March, Ma Allister, Kane to his Ward, Mee, Moreno, Mitoma, Odegaard, Toney.

I'm guessing he's gonna WC in 33 and BB in 34 but 32 he does look a bit short without a hit or 2. Wouldn't be a sub optimal team either.

So yeah I think FH32 is still the play.

The blank GW and DGW schedule is wrecking my head at the mo. Thinking now of using the FH in 32 and trying to load up with DGW players for 34 and 37 until then. On my radar on that front: Isak, March, Martial ( I know, I know, it's the definition of insanity but he's drawing me in again).

I think if Rashford is out longer term I'd want to free up funds for Bruno in the doubles with Eriksen and Cas back. Best way of doing that might be taking a hit this week to get Martinelli and Grealish in (for Rashy and Maddison) then I can turn Saka into Bruno in one move in 33/34. Doesn't leave me any room for Salah though. Tricky one.

I had a look at Martial earlier as well.

He slots in nicely for Watkins who's going to be benched a lot anyway for me in the coming weeks.

I definitely want Schar in at some point alongside Trippier. Not sure I'm bothered about getting involved in that Newcastle attack when they keep swapping Isak and Wilson from game to game.

If Rashford is out longterm, would Jota as a differential be mad? I think I'd be looking at either him, March or Macallister. One of the latter two would be the move to preserve rank but I do like the odd illogical punt.

I reckon I'm going to go without any 'pool until the end of the season. Probably stupid but the only one I'd want is Salah and at his price point it's a bit of a tricky one to justify (like you, I've got Bruno atm and am hoping he moves up the pitch once Case and Eriksen are back).

Meet back here in a few weeks for a collective moan about being taken in yet again by him?!

Jota is classed as an attacker in the game sadly.

Yeah I think it's going to be one of Bruno or Salah but not both.

Not much Love for Gakpo… any reason why not?

He had one good game against us and then 4 blanks after including a benching v Chelsea. I mean I'd consider him for the double but do you really see him playing both with Diaz likely back and Jota, Darwin, Firmino all fit?

United and Brighton mids seems a safer bet and if you want to play roulette it might as well be Pep roulette over Klopp roulette.

Not to mention Arsenal mids who keep consistently returning and are fighting for a title.

Fair enough, I just think Liverpool are now gonna start playing for next season - and he’s a big signing.

Regarding Arsenal, will Ødegaard continue to get points with Jesus back and the dynamic now very different? Will he still be pushing up?

I honestly think Odergaard was over performing but yeah there's probably something in that. Martinelli, Saka and Jesus are all better picks for me.

They're the 3 I'm gonna get on my FH...

If Grealish picks up injury today though .. I can roll into GW32 with 10 players with only a -4 so would play FH GW34.

Otherwise, gonna FH32, Captain Salah and watch as Liverpool win 6-1 and Salah contributions are a yellow card and a penalty miss.

I'm wondering if Gundogan might be a better shout than Grealish. Seems to be getting just as many minutes but always feel like he has a goal in him whereas with Grealish you're looking more for assists.

Not sure how reliable this is but it sounds pretty positive on Rashford...

Marcus Rashford injury update as Manchester United make decision ahead of Sevilla tie (strettynews.com)

According to The Mirror, United have opted not to risk Rashford in Thursday’s quarter-final tie against Sevilla, with the 25-year-old expected to watch from the sidelines.

In a positive update, it’s claimed that Rashford has undergone a scan on his injury and will only miss the game as a precaution, hinting that his injury may not be as serious as previously feared.

Furthermore, it’s added that the only scenario that would see Rashford feature in the game is if United’s medical team deems the injury will not be aggravated by his involvement.

feck off Maddison. Not gonna overthink it. Grealish in.

If Rashy will be fit... How the feck do I get Grealish in:

Current midfield is: Bruno, Rashy, Martinelli, Mitoma, March...

Can do a straight swap with Bruno but Bruno has Forrest next and Casemiro is back...

Can do straight swap with Rashy, but he also of course has Forest next.

Can do straight swap with Martinelli but that seems idiotic.

Can also swap one of Mitoma, or more likely, March... But then would need to take a hit by downgrading Raya to Steele to free the funds...

Or do I just go without him?

Any ideas?

Man City on Saturday is a massive gamble on the Pep roulette. They are throwing everything at the CL and will no doubt bench Grealish after everyone brings him in.

Thoughts anyone?

I have 2 ft, need to get in Haaland for Toney. Means I have to save money but transferring out Bruno, Maddison. Maddison to March could be a solution and that ends me on 0 in the bank.

Go without as long as Rashford is back soon and assuming you want the United double up. But yeah it's one of the United players who need to make way there I think. Great value in the triple M's and Brighton still have those doubles coming up.

Well they also need to throw everything at the league as well. Also they're 3 nil up so not like the tie isn't practically over. Yes Pep roulette is a thing but let's not pretend that this weekend is any different for spurious reasons.

Do you have a Free Hit left? Haaland and March won't play in 32. If so, sure, go for it.

This season so shit. At least we won the cup and I trust in Ten Haag, but wrong City and wrong Arsenal picks have killed my season after the world cup.

Selling Martinelli on wildcard for Saka has roughly cost me 30 points. Selling White on wildcard cost 15 points.

What I hate with City is there is no way to cover them as they rotate and only Haaland is a top pick. When Haaland been my differential he sucked, but City still winning.

I'm literally gonna wait until the last moment. Thing is, Grealish might get benching against Leicester,...

If he does so be it. Everyone else on my team is nailed (bar Chilwell) and I've got Estupinan on the bench.

Going forward though and especially with an eye on DGW34 I want him in. Taking Maddison out is a bonus if anything.

31 bus team...

DDG
Trippier Gabriel Chilwell
Grealish Saka March Mac Allister
Kane (vc) Haaland (c) Watkins

Subs: Raya, Estupinan, Rashy, Shaw

Yeah for me it's Bruno or Grealish. But I can imagine doing that move, Grealish gets benched and Bruno finally returns... That would kill me.

Oh yeah I'd definitely keep Bruno v Forest. If Haaland wasn't Haaland I'd be tempted to cap him as well. Should be back further forward this weekend.

Yeah think I'm gonna just leave it then. Unless Rashy is out long term confirmed, in which case Grealish will come in.

I'm not sure that any of these options is worth getting Grealish in tbh. Imagine he'll be rotated at some point and I probably wouldn't see it as a priority personally. That said, I do have Grealish so easy for me to say. If I had to choose one of those moves I'd probably lose Bruno tbh. He's pretty damn streaky and I do wonder whether Grealish + extra money elsewhere could be a better solution than Fernandes. Again, the caveat is that I also have Fernandes and will probably be holding him this week at least.

Sorry - totally unhelpful there, overall!

Haha nah all opinions are food for thought. I think I'm gonna go without him and hope Bruno outscores him.

It's a no brainer Schweiny. Bruno is nailed and tbh a more consistent points scorer than Grealish anyway. If I could get Bruno in with a single transfer I would.

So Rashy to Grealish is logical thing to do? Unless Pep decides to feck us all like he did with Mahrez and start playing Grealish only in CL

Tricky one. I think those of us that have a stacked bench from BB'ing the other week and are on the FH32 strategy can afford to wait until 33/34. If you're on a different strategy or don't have any chips it probably makes more sense to sell and buy back later.

Oh shit, next week is semi blank. No Grealish then.
Bloody hell, only solid options are Gakpo and Maddison. Great:mad:
