Fantasy Premier League 22/23

Get Odegaard they said! Guaranteed 90 minutes they said! Luckily I didn't listen and kept Martinelli

13 for Martinelli, 1 for Saka.
If they'd put that last min chance in it could have been another 8-10 points, but never mind!
2-2 keeps the real life race more interesting.

feck sake. Would of been an epic chaser move to climb if that pen had gone in, hat-trick would of been nailed. Still not dropping him... he's just waaaay too involved, regardless if he's more wasteful than ever.

You'd be fuming, fuming I tells ye to have Salah.
Ends on 5 points, when if he scores that pen he has 15 with every chance of adding to it.

This week could not have gone any better. So, so lucky. Finished on 89 and up to top 55k. Top 12k gameweek...not sure I've ever had a better week. Hoping for a top 100k finish for the first time.

69 points, Top of every table im signed up to. 1,217th in the world according to Livefpl. Martinelli  What a differential! Now a week of waiting on Shaw and Rashford. I have triple Chelsea defence (Chilwell, James, Kepa) which is abit of a nightmare left over after their decent DGW fixtures. Might bring in a city defender over Chilwell (probably) before next weeks deadline if fitness issues sort themselves out.

Rashford to Grealish looks a pretty obvious one for the coming week, unless he makes a pretty amazing recovery. But City home to Leicester is dangerous with only Haaland.

Then a free hit takes care of the week after.

My main competitor (5 points behind me and 8 ahead in this matchday) literally has the same front 6 as me and we both had one other Brighton dud.

He also had White though, so I was delighted to see him score nothing.

As a bonus, third place had Salah captain and two other Liverpool attackers and obviously they both flopped

I'm thinking this too.

Rashy to Grealish this week... Then FH32 and hope to squeeze by the Spurs game without Rashy... Then bring him back for GW34.

Yep, wildcard week 34 will need to bring Salah in for certain with his double.

Could do with Chilwell to get back into the team as i'm skimping by on a bare Trippier, Botman, White 3 defenders otherwise, with Shaw out.

I remember when top 10,000 sounded a decent rank.
I'm going fairly well and i'm 93k!

In fairness there are 11+ million playing these days.

Martinelli vs Maddison cost me a green arrow this week. Maddison has been fecking useless and I lost out on 11 points from Martinelli cause I put him on bench. Already rage transferred the useless cnut for Grealish.

Nah man Maddison wasn't useless. He helped me overtake my rival in our mini league

I was pondering that decision for so long. In the end, I believed Leicester will have some new manager bounce after sacking Rodgers and they were playing Bournemouth at home while Martinelli was away against Liverpool. I was very wrong.

Ended up on 73 thanks to Grealish and Haaland. Persisting with Saka was a bad move considering Martinellis form though

Any ideas on who to replace Shaw and Rashy with? I was thinking Martinelli for Rashy but it could be chasing points.

Is Salah a must have with his run of fixtures?

Current squad is
Raya (Kepa)
Mings Henry Gabriel (Trippier Shaw)
March Saka Mitoma Grealish (Rashford)
Watkins Haaland (C) Kane

Thinking of Wildcarding and I have my Free Hit for GW 32.

Choosing to drop Martinelli instead of Saka, when I wanted to get rid of one Arsenal player for the DGW, was probably one of the dumbest ideas I have ever taken.
Especially given I had Martinelli right from the start and Saka was brought in only in between.

If Rashy is declared out for any sort of time, seeing as though you already have Grealish, Martinelli is definitely your man.

Great form, playing well for top of the league!

Thanks for the tip! :) Made the Rashford to Martinelli transfer before price increases or decreases start. Shaw already gone down in price :(

Admit it...you are all looking at picking up Olise or Eze seeing as Roy has unharnessed the Palace attack.

Crystal Palace do have a very favourable run of fixtures to the end of the season.

Honestly, I hate what Olise did this weekend, was secretly looking at him as a differential for upcoming games, but now he will be in much more teams.

Expect you're still surprisingly high up, so just take it on the chin and put it right next week.

I dare say we've all taken someone out/benched someone who has hauled this year.
If Brighton had got the pen or 2 they should have yesterday I'd have been weeping at Mac on the bench.
Just realised this. You cheeky bastard

Not really. Everyone has two Brighton mids and then there's Rashford Salah Saka Grealish etc to pick from. No space really.

That's true, this season seems to have very good to excellent midfield options.

I have similar problems having Mitoma, March, Saka, Rashford and Bruno in my squad and, although I hate to admit it, I'm tempted to move Rashford and March/Mitoma for Olise and Grealish this GW + one of Brighton's duo/Bruno for Martinelli against Southampton in GW 32.

The problem is I would have to bring at least two of them back for double in GW 34 so that means taking a -4 hit on at least two occasions and I'm not sure is it worth it in the end.

My biggest mistake was sticking with Saka, transferring out Martinelli for Bruno and I did not expect Bruno to play so deep in absence of Casemiro.

Green arrow Up to 27k hopefully I can get another one next week as I'm expecting quite a big red in 32.

Still no news on Rashy and Shaw?

Annoyingly taken price drops on both of them and Maddison now, waiting for news and this weeks games to finish.

Think FH34 rather than 32 has to be serious consideration if they both look touch and go for the double. Have to make a decision this week and commit though. A City mid will come in if I am going FH32 but if not I'll probably bring back Martinelli.

Could get a 10 out like

Raya
Trips ???? Gabriel Robertson
Maddison Saka Martinelli
Kane Watkins

for -4 in 32 and keep Haaland plus 3 x Brighton and DDG on the bench. Advantage is keeping Kane for the run in. Disadvantage is no Liverpool attack in 32 against Forest.

Thing with FH34 is you want those players anyway right. Teams doubling are United City Brighton who we are all keeping. Liverpool is questionable on form but they have great fixtures and you can go Salah +1 for the rest of the season. So what is your upside with a FH? You won't be getting Fulham and Hammers players. They both look dead.

So FH32 is fine I think. Bunch of our long term picks like BHA United City etc are blanking and you don't wanna be forced getting those guys out and back in. .

For me it is the midfield setup and nailing that will give you the best gains. Arsenal mid choice has fecked me for a lot of the season and I still can't think of spending a transfer on Saka to Martinelli and I don't want more than one. Then the Rashford thing. He's injured but I was curious as to how long he could continue scoring at that rate. Can we permanently move away from him and united attack? City have options back but then CL is on and Leicester is bang in the middle of two CL legs. Pep could rotate the feck out of them. We probably can't move away from double Brighton given they have three doubles left and are playing like the best attack in the league. And then Liverpool who go up and down every game. And I still have duds like Maddison who I need to ship out.

Well....I did until Rashford and Shaw picked up injuries. I was always planning on 10 doublers plus Trippier for 34 and if those 2 are fit I can get there with no hits. If not I'm looking at -8 and for who? The flip side is I can -8 to get 11 out for 32 if I want to and FH in 34 when I know 100% which players are going to be fit. I still keep my 3 Brighton who have another double to schedule and Haaland.

And like you said at the end there do I really want to keep any extra City other than Haaland when they can get rotated at the drop of a hat? Arsenal are more predictable in that respect and Martinelli with Jesus back is different gravy. Can easily see the return of the Jesus, Martinelli, Saka triple up being big in the final few weeks.

Yeah I get what you are saying so it comes down to completely getting rid of United guys and just get them on a FH for a double. Could work tbf but I think me and alot of 26-27 WCers are pretty badly stocked with blankers so we are pretty much booked for FH32 which means there could be gains for the likes of you. Like I have 3 BHA 2 United 1 City 2 Chelsea right now.

There's just one thing though and thst United also double in 37 so you will have to transfer them in anyway even if you go without them using FH in 34.

Ah we do don't we. That might swing it then. I guess we'll maybe learn more about the injuries in the Seville presser which I assume is tomorrow?

Liverpool attack is starting to give me Man City vibes. Jota and Firmino are back. Diaz is back very soon. Darwin is back on the bench. Salah seems the most nailed but he might have just lost pens.
