Fantasy Premier League 22/23

Love that a couple ahead of me in my league left players like Martinelli, Zinky and White on the bench.
The defenders you could justify with doublers, but Martinelli? What a daft call with the form he's come back into.
 
Think I’m going to do Watkins and Chilwell in and Haaland and Estupinan out. GW 29 Mac10 in Martinelli out

Don’t really like getting rid of Saka for -4 before Leeds at home.

What's the thinking of Martinelli out? He's 5 goals in 5 games.

Yeah that's where I'm being shortsighted maybe?

On one hand, he's been great and they have Leeds but on the other hand, Mac has two good fixtures and then I can bring Martinelli back? Also with Jesus nearly back and Trossard fit, might he have minutes managed?

Ah Watkins.
Feels like a different lifetime ago in that covid behind closed doors season, that we all loved watching Grealish create 100s of chances for Watkins who occasionally would onion bag. But would mostly do stuff like miss 93rd min pens after putting a hatful anywhere but the goal.

I'm likely selling Estupinan as well and keeping Salah. Chilwell looks good. And similarly I will sell Saka in 29 as well. Casemiro red card has put me off getting United a bit for now though so let's see.
 
Into the top 3 in the Redcafe league :devil:. Even if its just until the final fixtures of the GW i suspect this is the last time ill be in it. :lol:

Chilwell will probs go up tonight. Just did the Estupinian to Chilwell transfer now. Hopefully that don't bite me in the ass later.

Would TAA be better to keep than Estupinian? Maybe I'm overthinking but TAA and Liverpool play better against better teams whereas Estupinian will be traveling back from Aus 2 days before the first match of GW29?

Not really no. I'm sick to the back teeth of him. Haven't had Estupian long enough to annoy me yet.
 
So selling Martinelli for Saka been a disaster on my wildcard.
Had I sold Odegaard for Saka though I would have been up.

Always so annoying when a team is good and you get red arrows for having the wrong options when you would have wanted them all. Same with Brighton for those with March.

Also benched Gabriel hurts in both normal team and draft. In my draft team the 3 recent times I benched Gabriel he scored 14,15,5. I also sold White for Gabriel on wildcard and White scores the week I played Gabriel and Gabriel when on the bench.

I started Zinchenko over Gabriel as well :(.

Problem for me is I got so many double gameweek players. In a normal gameweek I go double Arsenal def and bench Zaha, but I played 4-3-3 this time with double Brighton def. Shaw :( and Zinchenko

Funny enough I benched the Southampton keeper despite doubles for Kepa too just since I was so convinced we would score many goals :(.
 
Is 9 doublers enough for 29, or should I look to use my wildcard ahead of a bench boost?

I like the idea of keeping the wildcard as I don’t see the point in keeping multiple players from Brighton and Brentford after 29.

If your single gameweek players are 3 Arsenal, Kane and Haaland then I would be happy to keep them rather than wildcard them out.

If your single gameweek picks are Tarkowski (well he probably haul now after I sold him), Kilman etc then I be happy to wildcard.

Yep, exactly that. I guess there’s always a chance that White or Martinelli get a rest, but that’s always the risk with bench boost.

Tomiyasu been so bad. I am pretty sure White starts.

With Martinelli it is really tricky if Jesus is back although maybe it is too early for Jesus to start.

I assume it is Trossard benched or Trossard central midfield with Odegaard playing deepeer.

Neto is a bit tempting. Leeds can't defend. Too bad Wolves can't attack.

Was not the opening game of the season Leeds vs Wolves haha and I had Neto and Bailey that round. Although Bailey benched.
 
I managed to arrange my wildcard team last week so I can put out a full 11 this week without having to make any transfers.

Just need to hope for no injuries this week as I don't have any playing subs.

Just looked into this a bit more and so will Caicedo as well as Mitoma (from Japan) and Mac Allister (from Argentina) .

Are you expecting them all to get a rest? I would be very surprised because that's the spine of their team.

It's 4 days as well, not 2. Get out.

Haha nah it's because Lamptey :lol: he can potentially cover Estupinian whereas the other two will most definitely play.
