Fantasy Premier League 22/23

Insane this March goal thing - it might very well change the overall winner of the whole game at the end of the season, it will be this close! Watching the game as a non owner I was obviously very happy with the goal not given but all the initial replays were awful, I even looked again at the official highlights and they show nothing. FPL towers are a bit stupid here because they could predict such situations may happen and give themselves until the end of the gameweek to lock the points, now they have no choice but to stand by their own rules. I understand the early cut off for betting sites or all the FanTeams where you need to settle the money quickly, for FPL it makes them look like fools - again. Incredible that this game has 12 million players and covers the biggest league in the world but is still so shit in so many regards

It's basically FIFA mate. People will keep playing no matter how shit it is.

International break after the BGW this weekend? well that's fecking depressing.

Currently have 2x FTs but don't really fancy loosing my United/Brighton assets so will field 10. Might just address the Sanchez issue in goal for a keeper playing in DGW29 where I plan to bench boost.

So Haaland > Kane/other striker still worth it or no?

He's easy enough to get back in, it's just not having him in GW29 that's a bit scary. Liverpool could get slaughtered.

He already dropped in price last night so you have time to think. I sold him earlier and shat myself when he was looking like murdering Palace. But now it's done and I'm ready to go through this character building exercise again.

Kane could end up as a pretty strong captaincy choice after his haul last week so I'd be looking to have him. I have him in my team, was thinking of selling in 29 but his fixtures after that look good and he's been in insane form the whole season regardless of whatever is going on in the team. But then if you are selling Haaland now Havertz/Watkins have more tempting fixtures and also play twice in 29.

Already have Watkins. Havertz has been a famous troll for me. Am I ready to get hurt again...? I guess it would really be playing the doubles and making the most of the bench boost. Haaland back in for 30.

Arsenal players killed whatever rank gain I had this week and with Saka blanking as well, would have been nice to get those points from March.

Ah well, let's hope this fires him up and he scores a hattrick in his next game.

Bloody Hell ..

I have March as captain on Fanteam and he's classed as a defender there.

Thats 12 points, that would put me nearly second.

You'd be gutted if you had March. But how the heck they have given him that goal at all I do not know. The shot from behind the goal looks even less like him touching it.

I remember trying to get them to give me a subtracted booking point back once, when it was the wrong player or something though!

If I lose my draft league due to this it is funny.

Most funny how people get upset over fantasy points haha.

I think the rule is stupid, but can understand why. If changes happens week after it effect the cup etc. Should be end of gameweek rather than day I guess.

Tagging @CassiusClaymore juuuuuust in case he missed this.

Meh. Expect nothing less from these clowns.

It's weird as well, despite generally being a fairly consistent high performer in FPL I am 99% always on the wrong end of these things. This, Salah captain in the 9-0 at Bournemouth, Darwin red, Darwin injury, Havertzgate, Mane triple captain injury...there's always 2/3 of them every season and I'm always on the wrong side of them.

Don’t have him but from the trajectory of the ball it's obvious that March got a touch. The way Harrison struck it there is no way the ball gets that kind of spin and ends up that high in goal without a deflection.

The Meslier angle would've shown it perfectly if he wasn't blocking it. Unlucky owners

I don't think there's any conclusive angle to give it one way or the other despite what anyone says. Which if anything makes it weirder that they decided it should be an own goal. Basically it went from a goal for March to an own goal and then back to a March goal again and the only period that seems to count for FPL purposes was that middle bit where they decided it wasn't. Lovely stuff

You had Salah this GW as well no? Add that damn penalty miss.

Darwin and James are my mortal enemies. But if Potter says tomorrow that James is fit... Ffs.

Same. I thought a lot would have benched them so wouldn't be a big swing but fecking hell. Got smashed. Thinking of getting Martinelli back at the cost of a doubler in 29 but this Arsenal team has screwed me badly off late. Everytime I switch their options the other one starts returning. And now the lord has returned.

If I were to sell Salah it's gotta be one of Sterling, Maddison or one of these North London cnuts. Or a cheeky Ouattara two week punt?

But I bet there are equally moments of luck too? We usually remember the really bad ones and forget the good luck we get.

I got example got pissed that Ward got those 6 penalty saves points for my rival but remembered that I got a last minute goal from Martinelli recently too.

I bet in must seasons they even each other out.

As if the nobjockeys that run this game aren't awarding March the points. Would have made a difference in my mini league. cnuts. Nearly 300 quid on the line.

Yup, My arse was twitching while benching 2 Arsenal players and that decision did come back to bite me. I am dreading going anywhere near any Chelsea players though. Is anyone of them guaranteed to start the next 3 games? Sterling shows as doubtful; Mudryk, Enzo, Ziyech? I don't like any of those options.

I was looking to use 1 FT to get 10 players out this week and who will also double the week after. Not sure who to go after. Probably the safest bet in my case is March to Maddison. Or, do the Haaland to Watkins transfer which I'm not going to do in a million years.

I did Estupinian to Chilwell and rolling the other transfer. Happy to go in with 10 rather than do a transfer that needs reversing.

Are people sticking with Shaw or getting rid? Casemiro missing 3 (PL) games doesn't fill me with massive confidence.

I'm sorry, a player we own (and that i CAPTAINED) scored a goal and we didn't get points for it. That's not bad luck (ala Salah, Havertz... I captained Cancelo when he got that red card earlier on the season)... its straight up robbery.

Don't care about some obscure rule. A player scored, give the points. The only highly-frustrating people that disagree are non march owners. Imagine the outcry if this was Toney.

That was my first consideration but i don't know. Leaning on Maddison just because I feel he has a good chance to score against this useless Brentford defence. Think I'll just wait closer to the deadline and see. One of the Brighton guys is going and its not going to be Mitoma.

Using 1 FT to go with 10 is my plan as well and yeah Maddison seems to be the best option from those doubling in 29 and playing in 28. Question is does a Martinelli or Odegaard outscore him over next two GWs?

Other option is Estupidan to Zinchenko or James. I already have Kepa and Chilwell so going triple Chelsea defense including the mega troll himself. .. or get someone like Cash.

Says only 6% at the mo which isn't that high, is it? I was hoping he'd be a bit of a differential for me!
He'll be a differential to an extent but loads of the Reddit/Twitter experts have been talking about bringing Maddison in.

Current free hit team:

Kepa
Chilwell-James-Trippier-Zinchenko
Son-Martinelli-Saka
Toney-Kane(c)-Watkins

Thoughts? Chasing, so taking a chance with triple chelsea defence
