Fantasy Premier League 2024/25

About to curse the rest of my weekend, but good start! Had so little to cheer about lately that I can't resist saying something/being happy.

Triple Brentford last night and Bruno today = 39 from 4.

Cunha! Get in lad.

With Bournemouth down to 10 there might be a chance of more here.

Yeah the Bournemouth game looking like a disaster.

Going to make an early move for Cunha I think, about to be mass transfered in.

A week (or two) too late on Cunha but couldn’t predict the Bournemouth red card of course. Meh.

Had a feeling going in with triple Bournemouth was going to backfire on me. Of course that bastard Joao Pedro starts and scores the minute I drop him to the bench.

Munoz is another annoying player not to have over the last few weeks, you just know once you buy him he will start blanking again.

Shame I didn't have a spare transfer to switch to Glasner, always looked like a possible table bonus game. The kind of match where it's no surprise if Fulham had won, Palace had won or it if it was a draw.

From a risk/reward perspective made it great value as a punt. Well done to those who went for him.

Ouch for Arteta switchers. Slot could still do nothing for a lot of us, but at least we saved a transfer or a -4.

Glasner was the AM play this week. After two weeks of Slot, I got this one right

Glasner you absolute legend. Makes up for the 5 points from Dango, Kluivert and Kerkez.

If Villa win tonight then Palace gets another bonus points opportunity, that’d be amazing.

Why does Glasner get another point if Villa win?

Why does Glasner get another point if Villa win?

Think he means the next fixure, Palace v Villa on Tuesday night. Must still have some games remaining for the AM chip.

Currently 13th v 10th. Villa will end the gameweek no worse than 8th if they win today, creating another table bonus opportunity for Glasner.

Yeah this indeed, apologies if that wasn’t clear. I’m leaving it on him and saving a FT if he gets that opportunity.

Ahh makes sense. Unfortunately this is my last week with AssMan so no extra point for me. I'll take the 20 point haul today though

Arteta over Palace fella is the worst call of my season so far
20 or so point turnaround.

Was bad enough that Arsenal's already flimsy title chance went today

Yeah, last week of it for me too. Stuck on the boring Slot choice from the previous weeks and would have moved it to Glasner if I had wiggle room with transfers. Well done on picking him.

Someone did a projected points prediction for all the AssMans based on the betting odds for the games, think Glasner was somewhere around 8.5 or so, only Artetra on more at around 8.8 or something and that didn't work out well for those that moved to him. Slot is only predicted to hit around 5.5 I think, but as it would have been a -4 for me to take Glasner it just didn't seem worth it.

A lot of these games where there is a potential table bonus opportunity the team lower in the table look like they'll obviously lose ahead of time. Was never really the case for Palace today, they'd won 3 away from home in a row before this and Fulham a typical mid table team that can throw in a bad performance here and there. Even managed to lose to United at Craven Cottage. That's about the best you can ask for, the lower team is never going be overwhelming favourites, just need to back someone who at least has a chance and that looked the case for Glasner today.

Glasner as one of the very few bonus points options next GW, and best as well imo alongside Ange.

34 points between Emery and him so far, so anything he gets next week will be luxury for me.

45 points in total from my AM with 2 games of Moyes and 3 of Emery. Not too bad, should've been more with the Villa Ispwich match though.

Only 1 player delivered so far, Mbuemo my C. 37p. With Gordon, Isak and Wood left(Salah as well, but he doesn't count). Slot AM.

The hope as a Moyes / Emery owner and "neutral" football fan is that City get something tomorrow.

Those who went Moyes / Emery / Glasner have maxed out the chip IMO. Can't see that tally being topped! Annoyed I decided against it but it was never the original play for me as I wanted 3 "safer" bets and 2 "risks from the 5 games and would have probably tried to go even safer if either of those "risks" had not panned out, likely ending up with zero this week!

But 44 is a good return and would further justify the approach with a 10+ swing over those who have stuck on Slot if Liverpool don't come away from the Etihad with 3 points.

I also decided 4 or even 5 transfers could be worth its weight in gold come GW29, given the poor form of some of my starters such as Palmer for example and saving the FH as a result. This will then hopefully allow me to delay the WC until GW31/32, setting things up nicely for the doubles and blank.

I think the chip is a good addition and should be used to make some calculated risks, even if you're flying high. Definitely has added to the enjoyment of the game!

Palmer needs to be doing something big in the next two to stay for me at this stage. Needs a big haul in both to stop me taking him out.

Yeah same. Would’ve dropped him this week if he didn’t have Soton and Leicester both at home in the upcoming two games. Those just look too good on paper not to return on.
