Fantasy Premier League 2024/25

Is everyone TC'ing Salah this week? Will there be a better opportunity to use the TC?
I'm going TC, i have all my chips available so depends on your situation.

feckin scout has put up a defence of TAA, Hall and Milenkovic this week. Both of the latter 2 are the ones I was considering selling for TAA

So with TAA likely rising tonight and Europe done pulled the trigger on that transfer with Milenkovic out. Going with

Verbruggen
TAA Greaves Hall
Salah Palmer Amad Rogers
Gakpo Wood Isak

Fab Enzo Robinson Kerkez

Triple captain active on Mo. Wissa, Mbeumo and Dango unchained on my radar for next week.

Yeah today is deadline day for me, having serious doubts about going AM chip now but also got serious doubts over TC with how well Bournemouth have been playing and Everton looking slightly better. Feel like I have to play one here though.

Currently I have Gordon, Salah, Palmer, Rogers and KDB in my midfield. I too am holding out making a move for Kluivert and Mbuemo until next week. Just have a feeling KDB might go berserk against arsenal, contrary to belief.

Yeah I'm bracing for Brentford damage this week but nothing I can do. Don't think I can get Wissa or Mbeumo in until 26 either as Bournemouth mids are the priority next week.

Struggling to decide who to bench out of

Gabriel or Hall (I’ve got Mykolenko & Konate both starting)

Rogers or Amad or Wood.

Im going with Salah TC.

PS can somebody like my post one more time so I can post without mod approval

I was always planning to do Gordon to Mbeumo next week, what are the thoughts on just doing it this week? I quite liked Gordon at home to Fulham but Spurs are looking really bad.

Yeah that's a doozy. I can see Gabriel scoring from a corner so I'd play him. I think I'd maybe bench Rogers as he's just played a full 90 last night.

So it seems like we're getting a guaranteed DGW25, too.

Depending on the result of LFC vs Spurs Carabao semi (Thursday Feb 6), if Liverpool progress we'll have Pool (Wolves, Villa) and Villa (Ipswich, Pool) with the DGW25. If Spurs progress, we'll have Spurs (United, Fulham) and Fulham (Forest, Spurs) DGW25.

DGW25
Fulham - NFO (H) & TOT (H)
Spurs - MUN (H) & FUL (A)

or

DGW25:
Aston Villa - IPS (H) & LIV (H)
Liverpool - WOL (H) & AVL (A)

I was pretty set on TC Salah DGW24 but perhaps this announcement makes AM Slot too good to ignore? Potentially 2DGWs in a row, and manager is obviously immune to rotation... Pool could end up playing 4 games in 10 days (Spurs 09.02, Everton 12.02, Wolves 16.02, Villa 19.02) so I can't see any of their players getting full minutes in all those league fixtures. Just go with AM Slot and if they win Carabao against Spurs keep him, milk his 5 games from 3 GWs and hope for the best, and if Spurs win the Carabao semi just swap Slot for Ange as the AM in DGW25 + Ipswich game in 26 and then hope for the best (and maybe even some extra points considering Spurs are so low in the table)?

also feck me, but TC25 looks better than TC24 on Salah now, but the problem is that if I hold on my chip now anticipating Salah TC25 and Pool don't manage to progress, I'll be pissed off and feel like I wasted a great opportunity

Oh feckin hell. That just sums up this season.

Waited all week to decide my tactics and saw that Trent might be going up in price last night (he didn't in the end) so brought him in with my last FT. Now it's pretty obvious that AM on Slot is gonna absolute wreck with 5 games in 3 gw's.

feck. Right. Off!

I'm actually a bit lost on what the gameplan should be because theres too much change and too much information.

I understand DGW 25 announced, and I have 1.1m with the bank, with my TC already played and 2 Liverpool players. I also have 3 FT

I think it makes sense to play AM on Slot, but I just want to check this strategy because I'm really fecking confused by everything and dont know if there are better windows.

Feels like such a waste of transfer to get TAA or Gakpo out just to get Slot in…

Are there any combos as good when playing AM in GW36? Guaranteed 4 games as well I believe and you have more of a chance to hit on the bonus points when teams in the relegation zone play teams who are already on holiday in midtable. Cheaper managers, too. High risk, high reward play I suppose.

I don't think this AM chip is necessarily going to pay off... as if you bring in Slot you then can't have a 3rd Liverpool player and that player may/may not score a bundle of points themselves over the games. It's possibly more likely to get you a load of points, but there's definitely a possibility of a Diaz/Gakpo hauling and then outscoring the Slot.

Oh I hate the indecision that Fantasy Football induces.

For you 100% makes sense to play AM on Slot. Liverpool likely with 5 games in 3gw's. It's lower ceiling than punting on a crap team but should get you plenty of points. Slot won't be rotated unlike the players.

So yeah use 1 FT to free up the funds for Slot and pull the trigger imo.

If it comforts you, The double in gw25 is not sure yet, Liverpool need to go through over Spurs who won first leg 1-0.

Ok so its a 3 GW lock out on using any other chip - really didnt need all this complication at the point i finally went top of the cash league !
Indeed - Im not a big fan of this chip especially when they announced how it works so late in the season

Manager still gets 6 points for a win, 1 for every goal scored and 2 for a clean sheet. And like I said he won't rotated either.

Cheers mate, makes sense in that case.
I'll use my 3FT on rushing in some DGW players too.

agreed and that’s my plan. I probably downgrade Wood to Ndayie

Then Spurs would double and you can just switch it to Ange who can even get a table bonus against Fulham.
There’s also a chance there will be more DGWs including Arsenal or Chelsea. So if Pool don’t get dgw25 it will be easy to swap for another double manager even Arteta

That's why AM is such an outlier with the chip lasting 3 weeks and being swappable. I can't play it without taking -4 to remove a player I just brought in.

I'm pretty much tied into TC now on Salah and just praying that he hauls and and those extra points + a third Liverpool player is enough to outscore Slot. I am lucky enough to be covered for clean sheets with TAA and goals are likely to come from Salah and Gakpo as much as anyone else in that team I guess.

I need to then hope that Spurs go through really so everyone on AM has to waste a transfer to move it whereas I could activate it on Ange and still have a transfer to bring someone in.

That's a no brainer really. I hadn't thought through my strategy but in both League Cup scenarios it looks a pretty good deal.

Activating mine now before I forget..

So have all the games in 29 involving teams still in the EFL Cup been scheduled for 25? Haven't heard about the Newcastle one (v Palace). Any reason for that?

Edit: Nvm. Newcastle not in Europe is why so can be moved elsewhere.

So if I have 3 Liverpool players, I can't pick Slot as my Assistant Manager! Because that would give me 4 players from Liverpool?

Correct.

Seen a few looking at maybe going Moyes as AM with 3 Liverpool as cover. Then switching to Emery in 25 for his double. Has a higher ceiling for sure (1 table bonus chance for each manager v Liverpool). Would need to hold TC for further down the line though.
