Fantasy Premier League 2024/25

Don't have Isak as captain. I'm going absolutely nuts now.

Yeah just realised I didn't look closely enough to think to make this very obviously astute change. God I hope he misses the game.

Or at least misses the goal innit

Seriously considering using Assistant Manager now in 24-26 over TC. Reasons below...

1. Whilst fairly confident of Liverpool wins in both 24 away games, not quite sure if they'll be high enough scoring for a Salah TC to really pay off.
2. Wolves in 25 could be the bigger drubbing (and would be typical after everyone has used the TC chip the week before).
3. I've only got Salah and have 2 FT's until 24 so realistically I can only get to 3 x dgw players without a hit (not worth it for Everton). AM will get me 3 x Liverpool plus Pickford.
4. Slim chance of another double in 25 which is an easy switch to any manager from Slot.
5. Getting the AM chip out of the way early allows me to put the funds back into the squad when I wildcard further down the line.

Who else C'd Bruno? Anything less than a goal and assist or 2 goals and I'd be disappointed tbh.

I still only have a vague understanding of this AM chip - did not realise you could switch managers while it's in play!

Yep.

Also for me as one of the few people still owning Haaland I can bin him finally in 24 when they have a run of Arsenal, Newcastle, Liverpool, Spurs and Forest to get Gakpo and Pickford unless Isak becomes properly injured by then.

App came up with Gabriel goal!
Now it seems to be not only an own goal, but not an assist as it brushed 2 defenders on the way in! Behave!

It also should have never been a corner in the first place

Rogers on my bench. Always the problem with having 5 good midfielders and 3 good strikers. Even though my team is stronger without Haaland, I miss having that 4.5m striker third on my bench that I didn't have to worry about! Every gameweek is a selection headache now.

Having been stung once each by Wood, Amad and Rogers all hauling on my bench in the last 5 weeks, what worked for me this week was not bothering to sub ou for the season Jesus out!

Just the 7 to fill 7 places! Couldn't lose!

I'm sure we all started the season with him, but he didn't get going properly until a 5 -6 weeks ago spell.

Yep. Started the season with Hall, Murphy and Isak. Got Hall back early enough but missed all the points from the latter two. Wankers. Only just got Isak back this week. And still didn't captain him.

That yellow flag put me off captaining Isak, fair play to all those who went through with it anyway.

Unless he gets injured he's a season keeper.

Yeah, it's costing me a win in my mini league. I moved it to Palmer.

I cannot believe I didn't think to make Isak captain against Wolves. Oh me oh my what a waste of points

The yellow flag and 12.30 Sat game combo had people nervous. Otherwise a lot of us would have gone that way.

Except from getting the armband wrong. It's been a meh to ok week with Amad to go.

Team for next week:

Fabianski (Henderson)
Hall, Munoz, Andersen (Kerkez, SvdBerg)
Palmer, Salah, Rogers, Amad (Dibling)
Haaland (C), Isak, Jackson

Captaincy will be tough this week as well, but I think I'm gonna land on Haaland again.

Surely a bit crazy to go Haaland this weekend when you have Palmer, Isak and Salah? Palmer at home to wolves. Isak at home to Bournemouth. Salah away at Brentford. Ipswich are no push over and City continue to look piss poor tbh. Seems very risky!

This week is tough. I want to captain Wood against So'ton for the differential, but Wood is capable of dropping stinkers when you don't expect. And in a team having Palmer, Salah and Isak, captaining Wood seems too ballsy

If I weren't trailing hard I would agree, but I need to go as much diff as possible to catch up. No reason to keep him if not captaining him in fixtures like that (he did hat trick against them in Sept). Ipswich are pushovers btw, despite City being totally crap lately.

I’d be careful with Wood - Nuno might risk rotating him

I thought that but then I saw Awonyi come on and show the first touch of a traffic cone. But yeah, I don't think I'd ever captain Wood. Forest don't score enough and he doesn't get enough chances to make it anything other than a big risk.

My team on paper this week looks like 100 points but will no doubt end up returning 30. Always does on those weeks...

Fabianski (Palace Home)
Robinson (Leicester Away)
Milenkovic (Southampton Home)
Hall (Bournemouth Home)
Amad (Brighton Home)
Salah (Brentford Away)
Palmer (Wolves Home)
Enzo (Wolves Home)
Haaland (Ipswich Away)
Wood (Southampton Home)
Isak (Bournemouth Home)

I think has to be Palmer or Salah for captain. Coin toss between them both.

I don’t think you can risk not going with Salah.

Brentford might score a lot but they also concede loads to.

The only teams currently I would even consider not captaining Salah vs are Forest & Arsenal
