On a scale of Absolute liar Howe to Frustratingly Honest Amorim, where would Maresca be?
We've had our "easy" game now.
But there's such a huge price difference between those 2 options so feels like it should be 2 separate calls...one your big money guy punt on Foden this week, but Amad in as a facilitator when you can.
Monday game is annoying as one hand way too early to be sure, but other hand enough time to heal up a bit!
I don't think he's known for bullshitting but I'm not overly worried. Palmer got a knock in the game and carried on so I'd be surprised if he doesn't play. If Enzo doesn't then I've got Rogers to come in from the bench.

If I triple up on Liverpool for the double gameweek and they got through to the Carabao final I'm going to have to sell them off again for 29. Already on triple Newcastle who look like going through so need transfers there to move at least Isak and Gordon out I'd have thought before I wildcard in 30. Hall can stay benched for 29 as he was a relatively cheap pickup. Slot covers the double without possibly having to move that extra Liverpool body in and out.

It's tough using a lot of transfers when you don't have Haaland in your team, because you can spread the money around and get in a lot of good players you want to keep. Forest keeper Sels for Sanchez and Jesus out for Calvert-Lewis for the double game.
DCL feels the huge classic mistake of filling up for a double, with a player you wouldn't let anywhere near it normally.
Especially as one game is Liverpool at home. So you ask, would you bring him in for whoever they're playing away? Bar Southampton, not really.

Will start making moves toward the double GW next week or on the double itself.
Slot will be assistant for 1.5m, there's not too many ways to get there while bringing in a second Liverpool player. Mostly looking at Timber to Konate and Lewis to Mykolenko, also for the double. Myko could then rot on the bench until 29 when Everton have a guranteed home match v West Ham should I need him.
The only other ways to get to double Liverpool + Slot for 24 are selling Palmer for one of Jota/Diaz which is a definite no, one of Mbeumo/Gordon for Szoboszlai/Mac Allister or Isak to Gakpo.
Can't really see me going for any of those unless injury/suspension forces my hand.

I know what you mean. I dont rate DCL either, but if you have transfers to burn and you don't want to lose them? DCL actually looked pretty dangerous in Everton's first game under Moyes , he should have scored a couple. Moyes sets up differently than Dyche and Everton may get a boost. I think he maybe worth a shot. Everybody has practically the same team and it's hard to gain ground in your mini leagues. DCL maybe a good differential. But with the year I am having , I wouldn't recommend listening to my advice, this is by far the worst year I have had in over 20 years of playing this game.
Why do you have to sell Isak instead of the other 2 donkeys?
Yeah I'm not bringing Everton attackers in. I don't care if they have a triple game week. Only just finally got my squad to something I actually like and am not about to start shitting it up again.
If I use AM in 24 it'll be Salah, Gakpo, Slot and Pickford. If I play TC it'll be Salah, Gakpo and another Liverpool player of my choice (will be selling Haaland regardless).

When do we get a bit more clarity about Blank GW29? Do we need to wait for outcome of next FA Cup round?
Neither works as a 1 in 1 out move as far as having enough for Slot goes, only Isak.
Fair enough, Jackson to Gakpo plus Lewis to Myko does, but Solanke to Gakpo doesn't work even then.
There's other workarounds too where I could move out both donkeys and get Trent, forgetting all about Mykolenko but that's using all 3 transfers I'll have between now and GW24 deadline and I was wanting to build them up gradually by the time we get to 29.
Who knows though? Might be forced into something more creative like that by then anyway.
No, it's the Carabao Cup final weekend so we'll know on February 5th/6th after the sem final second legs.
If Newcastle get through (must be strong favourites) their game v Palace (H) is off. If it's Arsenal their match v Chelsea (H) is off.
The Liverpool v Spurs one a bit more in the balance. If it's Liverpool, their game v Villa (A) is off, if it's Spurs theirs against Fulham (A) will be off.
These are all likely to be moved to 33. In 34 it's FA Cup semi final weekend, we'll know who isn't playing then at the end of March, with those likely to be moved to 36 for a double.

Currently on TAA Salah Gakpo so not sure it’s worth it to get TAA out now just to get Slot in for the AM chip already in GW24. Especially since I only have 1 FT and need to accumulate some.

I can't see past Salah as captain. Only Southampton have faced more shots than Brentford this season.
