Fantasy Premier League 2024/25

For the double gameweek with Everton? It's one possibility. Seen some stuff on youtube with different strategies, going to save mine until later. Slot is your safer-looking use now plan for sure, but I like the idea of switching managers around/targeting the big bonus points personally.

One advantage of waiting until later is that your squad should be worth more by then, easier to sacrifice the funds. Disadvantage is that you can't just focus solely on players in wildcard if leaving it until later.

With each of the plans just omit the TC chip if already used. These from FPL Harry, Let's talk FPL and FPL Scoutcast. 1a is what I'm thinking from the first of these, maybe 3a as it allows the assistant manager chip to be played 35-37 as well as the 36-38 highlighted below depending on which fixtures seem best and will include double GW for 36 either way. Think I like that flexibility more actually. Don't want to leave my wildcard until 35 as mentioned in some of these. Seems like I wouldn't get much benefit out of it at that point.

GW 29 important to the way I want to play it, need to transfer out Carabao Cup finalist players and their opponents if not free hitting that week and I'm on triple Newcastle so not the best starting place with them 2-0 up from the first leg! Guess I could leave one on the bench, sure to blank before the wc in 30.

Thanks!
Great stuff.

Time for Haaland to go nuclear for the next two GWs.

Captaincy this week? I don't think Salah is an obvious pick, Forest are pretty good at home.

Yeah I'm contemplating Isak or Palmer. Have a gut feeling about Palmer actually.
Palmer ais a good shout, however Chelsea have been poor recently and Bournemouth are in good form.

Isak looks good, just hope the yellow flag isn't serious. Maybe i will go Isak cap and Haaland vice.

I was on Isak but now he's flagged.

Think I'm still gonna keep it on Salah but that's more down to the fact that 90% of the people in my ML will do that and I don't need the differential at the moment.

Captaincy is difficult this week.

Originally had it on Isak but the yellow flag is worrying and with two games in quick succession, he is unlikely to play 90 minutes.

So better Palmer and Salah. Both playing against good defences but Palmer at home so might go there.

As for chip strategy:

TC in GW24
Dead-end into GW29
WC out in GW30
BB in GW33
FH in GW34
AM active between GW36-38 on a lower ranked team.

Obviously this is assuming things don't go crazy between now and then.

Is Fabianski back from his injury? Is no longer flagged on FPL.

Apparently there's a chance of a dgw in 25 as well according to Crellin...

This is why I hate this chip. There's a decent chance that everyone who burned their TC early will luck out into a 5 game run with assistant manager instead.

Palmer is the poll-leader, with Isak and Salah as runner ups. Bruno and Haaland as differentials.
I have a lot of catching up to do, so I'm going for Haaland and hope a full 10 days of rest for him will get him back to August form.

That said Liverpool will probably batter Spurs in the second leg.

Got a bit of an injury crisis at the moment though

And this is the Newcastle update...

GMW 24 looks more and more sensible to play the manager at this stage with the Liverpool double now unless you’re chasing somebody in one of your leagues and need to take big risks.

Liverpool have Bournemouth and Everton that week and the following they have Wolves at home which is a brilliant fixture. Slot for those three games and then possibly transfer him out for Arteta for their home fixture against West Ham in 26 or even take a risk on Ipswich at home to spurs for the extra point bonus.

Yeah I'm wondering whether it might be the better play as well and save the TC for a later DGW. I'd have to free up £1m from somewhere to get Slot in though. I guess I could bin Haaland in 24 as he's against Arsenal anyway.

If Spurs end up doubling as mentioned in that tweet @CassiusClaymore linked to it's 100% the play. It's definitely a good shout even without it. Would be keeping an eye on the Villa vs Chelsea fixture in 26 as I do like the idea of a bit of gamble on those extra points at some time. Currently 4 places between them. If it's 5 or more would be tempted to go Emery that week with Arteta home to West Ham as the backup plan if Villa are less than 5 places behind at the time.

Tricky situation. Isak flagged, he'll start but then they have a 12:30 KO on Saturday, so probably won't play the whole 90. I was thinking Bruno as it doesn't get better than Southampton at home, but he's just played 120+ minutes so may not play 90 either. Palmer maybe, as Bournemouth have so many injuries?

You make it sound like there’s almost certainty TC later on would be a succes  that’s maybe happened for me 1/5 times playing it later on. There’s Always the randomness and rest of keyplayers (who you captain) in a tight schedule too.

Let’s be real I think we all want to use it on Salah at some point this season in a DGW, a player who’s been the best attacker all season and as sure of a thing as you’ll get to starting every single game and not being rested. It’s just whether Liverpool end up having another DGW really because it feels like the manager chip really has fallen brilliantly for gameweek 24 with their double and the wolves fixture, it’s really hard to look at any fixture list and see a better play for this chip whereas the TC could still be very strong towards the end of the season. You could probably make loads of different arguments on where and how to play them, I love that it’s now getting to a stage where people have got to start making moves.

TC, manager chip, bench boost, free hit and wild card. That’s 7 weeks occupied. It’s about to get interesting. I think for me the manager chip will go on 24 and then TC in the DGW later in the season. My biggest question is when I’ll play my wildcard and working out the absolute best time for it. 23 is a real possibility to get the team ready for the manager chip in 24 and the DGW. Feels like it may be important to try to save a few free transfers right now in the build up to all of this. Could wildcard in two Everton players in 23 for the 24 DGW and then take them straight out for 25. Biggest problem with that is there’s really not many Everton players that stand out and not enough time to see how they’re fairing under Moyes by then.

Keeping a close eye on Haaland. I don’t want to bring him back but if they find their form with the new signings and he starts scoring properly again then the wild card will be needed to get him back in for me. Thankfully Wood and Isak are scoring well and Pedro is fit with the lack of options at striker.

Someone talk me out of Diaz to Bruno late knockings when I already have Amad, and Pool have a double in 3 weeks,

OK phew. Everyone I feel has gone for Palmer or Isak
Southampton are one of the worst teams in PL history, it's a fixture to target and Bruno is in good form.

I forgot to mention Isak, he should have been in the list of players I mentioned, although there are doubts he will play the full 90.

Speaking of Southampton Jesus to Wood is a no brainer for the weekend providing he comes though unscathed tonight right? Especially since I can't afford Gakpo now.

Bye bye Rico Lewis barring injuries, it wasn't particularly nice knowing you.

Walker in the transfer wilderness and he can't get a start?

Benched him myself, but it's Ipswich next, he could have been an option for that. Not now.

It's whether to move to Konate for the Liverpool double or bring in someone who will definitely not blank in 29. I'll grab Konate for the double at some point anyway, just need to work out how I want to do this.

I think so, he has a nice run of fixtures after Liverpool and has been pretty consistent this season. Other cheaper options are Pedro and Raul.

Am I am an idiot for captaining Bruno?
My rival has captained the best player every week this season and he's got it on Bruno this week.

Want to replace Jesus with one of Raul Jiminez or João Pedro but Pedro has a flag and Jesus dropping tonight with Jiminez rising so don't have much time to decide.

Might go Jimi and hope Spurs lose to Liverpool in Carabao.
