Fantasy Premier League 2024/25

These better be wrong. Saw it with 30 seconds left until deadline.

Edit: Whoah, that whole tweet changed since I posted it. The profile was set up to look exactly the same as the Talking Wolves podcast account but has now been changed back. Just a daft troll, not like I could have changed my team anyway in that time.

I stuck with Salah as captain

I need one of Gabriel or Veltman to play otherwise I’m down to 10

Yeah that little fishing emoticon next to the name might have got me a little doubtful.

Sels
VVD Gabriel Kerkez
Salah Palmer (C) Saka Semenyo
Isak Jackson Pedro

Fabianski Rogers Ait-Nouri Greaves

I don't know if it was there. Not saying it was or wasn't but it definitely didn't say Bhuna, it said Talking Wolves. Used the same picture as they use, and the same bio.

Not sure about the handle either but that could have been temporarily changed too I guess. @TalkingW0lves or @Talking_Wolves etc. instead of @TalkingWolves

He got me! Looks like it might be his thing, possibly doing it all the time? Bio now reads "I’m just trying to help you improve your attention to detail you wet wipes"

No Greaves again for Ipswich is a strange one. Not too bothered as I managed to get 3 defenders out there in the end but there's no media reports saying he was injured and would be missing last week, no record of questions asking why he was out after the game, and nothing mentioning his name for this week asking if he was available.

All we got was a 'none of the players who are injured' will be back comment from McKenna when asked about injured players in general. Nobody even thinking to ask him about Greaves in particular.

Thankfully i didn't see the Cunha tweet earlier or i'd have been in here getting irate with you
2 or 3 massive hauls, I put him in, 3 nothings.

Does Greaves have some sort of appeal I'm missing?
Defender for one of the worst teams?

Yeah, hamstring, back soon apparently

No, not really. Just a fairly commmon choice for people's 5th defender if they needed a 4.0m player at one point. He looked nailed and is a big fella who might score 1 or 2 headers a season.

Dreadful defence like all the promoted teams who had 4.0m centre backs. Faes, Harwood-Bellis etc. Thought I might have to call him into action today if he'd have been playing with Gabriel's fitness doubt.

Not going to transfer somoene else in for Greaves even if he never plays again, not until wildcard. Still, it's nice to have little insurance policy if I never needed him for a 1 or 2 pointer while other players may be getting injured, rotated or suspended. Managed to carry Barco for a few weeks at the start of the season as 5th defender after Brighton loaned him out without ever needing to call him into action but we're now at a busy time of the year when the fixtures are coming fast. Depth a bit more important now.

I was rushed as going out and not my usual eloquent and verbose self.

I’ve just about recovered (after a 12 hour restless sleep and 10 Nurofen) and remembered words with more than 1 syllable.

And realised you’ve still got your WC chip??
It was useful don't worry.
It gave me the chance to apply your "yes" to one of the 6 or 7 questions i'd posed

Nothing hindsight about this as I'd have never have put him in today - Robinson looking good with the assist. Is that 4 for him this season? I noted in the week that Fulham have an attractive run of games coming soon barring Chelsea away.

Fulham players looking good in general for that run of games. Iwobi, Raul etc.

The moment I transfer a Liverpool defender into my team, someone scores against them
Much bigger picture at stake here pal. We'd all take a poor fantasy footy score from our Pool players for them to lose.

I should have used my super powers before pool got to the top of the table.
Moved a couple Fulham players to the bench to make room for some pool players, and voila!

(i probably jinxed it now)

Need to clear this Wolves crap out asap.
Home to the crappest team, it Nouri conceded and YC, and Cunha well on course for a 2 pointer, if he can manage not to foul someone on the half way line from his team's own corner this week.

Is that Nouri suspended for the next game then anyway? Pretty sure he was on 4 yellows before today. Deffo time to pull the plug if he is.

Got to use a wildcard in the next couple of game weeks anyway, but yep, him and Bartolo (!) definitely have to go.
But Cunha has been an absolute waste of time

Yep, just before Leicester as well, guess I won't be doing Mbeumo and Cunha to Enzo and Isak then.

Managed to get a couple of good games out of Cunha, but he's been frustrating for a number of weeks now. Might jettison him too. Was always going to after the next game, (Leicester away) or the one after (United home, and our defence isn't the best) at the very latest.

Raul Jimenez looks good to me - Southampton H, Chelsea A (a bad one), Bournemouth H, Ipswich H, West Ham A, Leicester A. He's cheap so allows more money to spend elsewhere and has really good xG numbers. I know quite a few people got burned by him earlier in the season when he went on a dry run after they all brought him in, might just take that gamble.

Edit: Suppose there's Wood, Joao Pedro etc too. Already had both of them at one point.

Whoops thought it was a Salah goal..just an assist. Even worse hearing they've equalised now.

Even better, it's 2 assists for Hall. BBC shows 1, must have been an FPL style extra one.

Isak now with an assist too, Newcastle running riot.
