Fantasy Premier League 2024/25

Surely we're not all getting sucked back onto the Pedro doom train again?!

Bring him in, gets a knock, might be back soon, isn't then out for 6 weeks is the usual isn't it?
More importantly @Dirty Schwein got him in this week. I ll wait to see if the kiss of death is real before bringing him in.

I even waited for him to go 0.2 up on price before bringing him in.

So one of two things will happen:

Pedro will blank/get injured or if Pedro miraculously returns, Larsen will return even more.

Sure I could break out the maths but can't be arsed. Going Konate > Timber for a -4.

Arsenal with a better clean sheet chance than Liverpool this week I think, slightly better over the next few too regardless of if it's Konate, Gomez or Quansah playing at the back.

No Konate weakens Liverpool defence somewhat anyway.

Wanted double Arsenal for a while.

Would feel like an idiot if I went Gomez and Quansah started!

Konate won't be back until second wildcard is in play by the sounds of it, Gabriel and Timber a solid hold until that time.

Can still go Lewis > Gomez (or Quansah) in the next week or two after confirming which is starting.

True. I wouldn’t captain him though. I hear a lot of people want to. He isn’t guaranteed to start cause it’s an easy game at home and rotation.

Sanchez
Gabriel Timber Hall
Salah Palmer(c) Saka Mbeumo
Jackson Cunha Wood

Fabianski, Rogers, Lewis, Greaves

Locked in, good luck people!

I’m surprised a lot of people aren’t going with Salah as captain. Surely a dead cert? Home fixture against City who struggle at Anfield at the best of times and right now they’re absolutely garbage, not to mention Salah always seems to score against them. Is it just a case of people needing a differential to make up ground?

Have Salah.
Weighing up a late change to Cunha though.

Salah is good security against Liverpool beating City and invoking misery on us all though.

I currently have it on Salah as well but I suppose if you were to go for a differential captain this is the GW to do it, a lot of tasty fixtures on paper. I need to make up ground in my mini league so the more I think about it the more I’m tempted to take a bit of a gamble.

Last minute madness sees me get João Pedro in for Jimenez. Already wish I'd got Wissa instead but I felt like I needed some added spice for tonight's game and it's cheaper than going to the bookies.

It’s not that Salah can’t score but who is going to haul? Or rather who has more chances of scoring more goals - Salah, Palmer, Cunha, Saka?

I agree, if you're chasing it's the perfect week to take a punt.

I'm top of one, within touching distance in another and 90 points back (he's about 1500 OR i think?!) in the other so think I'll just play safe!

He's who I've got captained at the moment, but I've a twitchy thumb and Palmer is due one his his big weekends.

Gone with Palmer, salah is a decent choice too

Feck it, switched the armband to Palmer last minute, don’t let me down Cole! Hopefully Welbz does the business and gets this GW off to a good start later. Good luck everyone!

I just tried to do the same having thought I was moving a lot quicker than I actually was

Ahh shit, forgot to update my team. I think I had Saka as captain and not sure who I put on my bench. I usually change my team at the start of each game week so hoping something sensible.

Against Villa though? Feel like it’s going to be a cagey 1-0.
Tend to be pretty sluggish after a midweek game but haven't really been punished for it yet. The Juve game seemed especially tough on a couple of levels as well. But mostly, it's just been a while since Palmer turned it on and it would be far to obvious for him to do it against Southampton next GW.

But hey ho, it's Salah for me anyway.

Haha, i’ve done that a few times. I envy the people that make all their changes early doors and just sit back and don’t look at it again until the weekend, I’m always chopping and changing right up until the last minute every week.

Fecked off Haaland for Joao Pedro who I also captained and this is how the BBC format the lineup :nervous:

Managed to recover my composure and checked again

Looks like Lumley is starting for Soton after McCarthy shat the bed 15 different ways against Liverpool.

Just in case anyone fancies a 4.0 starting keeper playing for a shit team with shit fixtures who will probably be replaced again before Christmas.

João Pedro looked a bit rubbish and is off. I should've just left it
