Fantasy Premier League 2024/25

What happens if you pick three defenders, one doesn’t play and both defensive subs are injured?

Does game allow the OTHER (non defender) sub then, or you just don’t get a sub?

(Asking for a friend who’d like his third sub off the bench with their six points).
You're better than this bossman

Hojlund needs to come back out, don't know what I was thinking. 2 blanks against Leicester and Ipswich is enough to take him straight back out. Might go Delap given their run of games

You got a bit hyped up after the recent home smashfests.
Back to reality now.

Only saw a couple above me in my work league without Salah as captain. One Haaland and one Bruno.
Unlucky with both really, Haaland could have had a handful and Bruno could have had a couple of assists. But going against Salah v the league's crappest team is brave. Especially the amount of pens they get.

Hadn't actually noticed Hendo saved a pen - on my bench! Garhhh, while Sanchez concedes 93rd min.

35 points all done this week, and more than 100 points behind in every single league I’m in. Think it’s time to throw in the towel and just start having some random fun with picks.

In the same boat. Goal is top 1M after GW19. Will be going against the template here and there for sure. Next year I'll call my team The Jinx.....

I was 97 points behind my ML rival few weeks back and have cut it down to 40. All is possible. Hang in there

Is it worth taking a -4 getting Saka in for Garnacho now? Long term it obviously is, but we have Everton at home coming up.
I activated my WC during this game week for the next deadline with Bruno in the team but after this performance yesterday, seriously thinking about alternatives with tough fixtures after Everton

Yep. Blind faith in the yeti is absolutely tanking my rank now. Think I'm gonna roll this week anyway and then move on both Wood and Mbeumo in GW14.

Normally this would be a tricky captain week pick but with City's form I expect Salah to be >100% again. Mbeumo, Palmer and Wood all good shouts though. On Palmer at the moment.

Pedro or Welbeck?? Also is it worth taking a hit to get rid of Wood for either of them?

Definitely Pedro. He was their best player before the injury and is back at it already. You run the risk that he might not start every single game but imo he’s great value for his price.

Wood has some tough fixtures coming up. I don’t like to take hits personally. I would get Pedro now at his current price as personally I see him rising with the fixtures they have coming up.

Dreading tonight's game. I've already dropped a few ML places and an Isak haul could make it much worse as many already binned Haaland, the sensible bastards.

Part of the reason I've kept him is that reallocating the funds makes taking hits practically a necessity. Then there's the fear that you might need him back later and have to take the hits again. He's infuriating.

I know what you mean but realistically you could just turn him into any forward who's firing (say Isak) and then have the funds next week to turn your 5th mid into Saka or Palmer assuming that you have Salah already. If I was gonna bin him that's what I'd do.

This was my plan this week but I opted against it, thinking he would smash Spurs and tbf, he had the chances to score at least a couple. Watch Isak smash it tonight to rub it in some more.

I guess this upcoming GW is a perfect time to replace him as he's playing Liverpool. Can downgrade him to Isak or Pedro but at the same time, I can simply swap Larsen to Pedro too.

Might just roll and hope he comes good as that will put me in a good position against those that dont have him.

Yeah, plan was Semenyo/Rogers->Saka as I've got Palmer&Salah. If I don't take a hit, it's Semenyo suspended or Rogers away to Chelsea. So it seems as good an excuse as any to take a -4. It's just that when Haaland inevitably becomes a must have again it'll be a headache and a half.

I already shoot my transfer and did Raul to Pedro before the price rises as I thought I'd be fecked otherwise. Hate doing early transfer with the midweek games, long week ahead.

I am fecking awful this season. I'm losing to people in my leagues that haven't changed their teams since week 1.

Hmmmm Haaland out for Jao Pedro is not actually insane this coming week. Could even bring him back in for Wood the week after if I wanted and not really cost myself anything (other than the wasted transfer).

Quite like the idea of lining up with Wood, Evanilson and Pedro against Ipswich, Wolves and Southampton at the weekend.

Cunha over Pedro. JP has risk of rotation and is always subbed off.

Am I right in thinking it's better to have Raya than Timber if adding a second Arsenal player at the back?

The thinking being that Raya would be set and forget and I could then hop on and off my 3rd defender. Gabriel/Konate the other 2. More choice for defenders.

That said, I have Sanchez and reckon Chelsea have decent cleanie potential over the next stretch of games. At least on paper. Might end up with Raya/Colwill at some point for 2 transfers when I could just keep Sanchez and bring in Timber for 1.

I think both is the way to go, and I'm even considering Delap aswell to invest all the money in to midfield
You might want to keep some funds or at least have a route back to Haaland in 2 moves in case he starts firing in a few GWs? Or are you prepared to go without him for a while until the next WC?

After a -12 to get him out (which thankfully João Pedro pretty much covered) I think I'm gonna have to commit to this now until the next WC unless Salah implodes which I can't see.

Vicario broken ankle, will be out for quite some time. Think it's likely to be Fraser Forster to step in at 4.3 and not one of the 4.0 guys which is a shame.

At the end of the day Spurs are going do Spursy things too I suppose. Still, 3 cleanies so far is tied for 6th and they're ranked 7th for xG conceded. Worse options out there.

I can see bringing in Hall is already a bad move. Another headache!
I mean Hall is a very cheap enabler so it's not too disappointing if he doesn't deliver, however spare a thought for the Isak buyers (if the game stays as it is).
