Fantasy Premier League 20/21

So when it comes to differentials what are people thinking about Ward?

I would only play him for the double. Feels like a boring pick, but I feel he is the best one I can get under 4.5.

Getting him in allow me to do Raphinha to Son and Jota to Zaha for the double.

Yes I know faith in Palace can backfire, but it is probably the best differential side for the double.

Also it gives me 8 strong attackers and a nightmare about who to bench for 35.

Yeah cheers. I feel with Dias and Alonso they either play or don't (famous last words).

I think if Alonso is shit and we have 0-0 after 50 minutes I would be a bit worried.

I think last time vs Brighton he got subbed of after 65 or something like that.

I do not feel like Tuchel makes very early changes though.

Bench Shaw or TAA? Or have both of them in?

I feel we have a better chance to keep a clean sheet, but TAA slightly better in attack.

If you play with loyality you can pick Shaw. If you want to spread your emotions pick TAA.

For bonus if 0-0 I think Shaw is better in this game personally.

Will Jota be favourite to be benched considering he only played like 57 minutes last time out?

Also, is it worh bringing in Vardy for the next couple of GWs? To do so, I'd have to downgrade one Salah or Bruno. I normally would ignore buy my closest rival has got him in and I'm thinking to block him off...

Nacho is out performing Vardy, so it's a real 50-50 on Vardy v another big hitter.
Who is the striker you'd remove?

I have Kane, Vydra and Ihenacho.

I can drop one of Salah or Bruno to someone cheap and upgrade Vydra to Vardy. But I would be doing it to block a rival who I feel will go this exact route also. Maybe I should just allow it and stick to my original plans...

My two cheap options are Pereira from WBA in midfield and Vydra in front. Should I upgrade any of them?
If yes, can someone give some suggestions. I only have 1M or so in the bank

Blocking is a difficult game but in my wildcard it was critical that I got on Nacho and Lingard, and have covered the big point hauler risks like TAA, Salah, Bruno, Son, Kane.
I'm holding a 38 point lead over a guy with a WC and BB, and 62 points over a guy (no chips left) who is superb late season.

The former will be difficult to hold off, as he could use that WC either this week and BB the doubles, or just WC the double when confirmed.
So i'd be having to cover 2-3 extra doublers and hope for the best.

62 points behind man, has Castagne and Rudiger, but no Kane, so he'll have to do some 2 transfer surgery to get Kane in this week, or risk taking a pump.

Cheap forward that starts (or at least comes on). Since getting him (3 GWs ago), he's already got a goal and was unlucky not to get another. He's basically my bench fodder.

I have Davis for that at 4.2m who has matched that output. Obvs I didn't get those points though.

I like my Watkins and Nacho, but feel Vydra is doing well. A bit like Soucek though it is hard to know when to bench or play him though.
Easy to dodge the few hauls and then start when he does nothing.

Vydra is going to be an issue with Barnes back. He’s gotta go, as I still have my bench boost to use. Forster getting place back would really help me out.

Think that helps me, as my rival won't be able to wildcard this week, with a view to BB in week 35, as he simply won't know what doubles are that week for sure.
Does still mean he can pack his WC in week 35 with 11 doublers, but with a couple of teams having good singles, like Liverpool, probably doesn't benefit him. And would leave the lineup too skimpy if there are a few blanks in 36.

Not sure if sticking with last week's team and rolling a FT ready for next GW (maybe the double) or changes?

Thoughts? Captain?

Don't think major surgery is needed there. Rolling the transfer might be useful for the double or the blank.

Captain has to be Kane unless there's news that he's carrying that injury still.

TC Kane? Or will there be better options?

Spurs needs goal difference in case they are on par with another team for 4th. They're 4 or 5 goals behind Liverpool I think

I prefer to play it at a DGW as you get two bites at the cherry.

What if Kane didn't play the full 90? He's come back from injury and I can imagine he comes off if Spurs get a couple of goals.

Genuinely thought you were having a laugh for a second with this, as Kane has already had 2 doubles himself, where most people used TC

If you still have it now, you have a couple of options
  1. Kane this week
  2. Vardy/Ichy/Bruno/Another doubler, probably in week 35

Yeah the thing with Kane though is he has big numbers against the top 10 bottom teams, so it feels very tempting.

But yeah GW35 is a good option if I can be sure of 2 x 70 minutes at least for one keyplayer

So I am still thinking about getting Dallas. He do not double though so I could go for Shaw instead.
Although if I go for Shaw then I need to bench TAA next week I think and I mess up my team.

Dallas, Zaha, Digne in Raphinha, Cresswell, Azpi out.
Or Dallas, Son, Digne in Jota, Cresswell, Azpi out.

Those feels like the best moves in theory I could do for a -4 over two weeks.

Basically it is Jota plus Zaha vs Raphinha and Son. The second feels stronger if we ignore Zaha double, but I like having Zaha for that double.

Ok mates, what's the play?
I have 2 freebies, and thinking any transfers over the next 2 weeks need to be doublers

Johnstone Forster
TAA Shaw Coufal Coady Holding
Bruno Salah Son Jota Lingard
Kane (c) Nacho Davis

The "safe" choice, even if he doesn't play this week, is Coady to Rudiger. Store him up, and use one transfer. Keeps Jota for his mad run coming up next game week on.

Other ideas have been thinking about Castagne, Siggy, Zaha, Watkins, Ward P, DCL, but arguably none "need" to be done this week before we know for certain on doubles.

To bring Castange in without sacrificing TAA, I'd need to do Coady to Castagne, and sacrifice Jota and sweat not having him next week.

ps Bruno back on the goal trail tonight. That is why you remove him from your fantasy team at your peril, especially before a potential double.

Wow magical from Cavani, Pogba and Bruno. Here I have Greenwood though. What to do?

I do not have enough money to uppgrade him to Bruno. I could get Son or Zaha as my old plan. Or stick with Greenwood and hope he starts.

Could do Greenwood and TAA out for Digne and Bruno for a -8.

I really don't want to sell Salah I think, but it is the only one move way to get Bruno.

Any dgw players worth bringing in?
You probably already have the ones worth bringing in.

Chill mate. Liverpool game won't be like this. Salah is a hold as his fixtures after us is amazing. If you want Bruno, is there another way to get him next week with two transfers (if you hold tight this week)?

Yeah I have looked for moves and we have a few doing next week after Liverpool.

TAA to Digne and Greenwood/Jota to Bruno. Azpi to Ward and Greenwood/Jota to Bruno.

I feel I like getting Digne more, but Ward got a great double I think and Dallas start over him every other week with TAA/Castagne. If Azpi is not nailed anymore he might not be worth holding.

Could really do with some positive news on Phillips and Cresswell. I’ve gotta use my bench boost in 35. There’s probably blanks in 36, and the last two weeks there’s going to be major rotation issues with Bruno and Shaw at least.

I finally sold Cresswell for Dallas. I feel Dallas is great. Super nailed plays all games and in an attack role too.
Also great fixtures in 4/5 weeks.

Yeah I had him up till their fixtures turned, you know the one where he did a madness against City. I don’t know why, but I sold Dias over Cresswell two weeks ago. There would have been a logical reason I’m sure, but I feel pretty stupid now.

I’m hoping for one of them back, and Forster to get his place back :nervous:

I would 100% do this and keep TAA. The upcoming fixtures for Salah are great so they are also for Trent.

Azpi isn't as nailed as before, Chelsea are still in UCL and FA Cup final and their league matches are getting difficult after Fulham. Getting Ward means you have a DGW player that will play both games and can be used as bench fodder after that.

For the Bruno swap, I would personally remove either one of those two. I'm leaning towards telling you to drop Greenwood as Liverpool have better fixtures and are ONLY playing fo top 4 whereas we are still gearing up for the EL Final.
