Fantasy Premier League 20/21

What are people's thoughts on Jota, worth keeping?

Very difficult, as a tough next fixture, but then an incredible run.

My biggest difficulty is I need to keep Son for the next game, but then I can reduce his value, to then upgrade someone else.

Castagne looks the biggest in form player to bring in, but I also have thoughts that I need to boost Davis to a third striker with a double soon too.

So what is the opinion about Zaha now? I thought he looked ok yesterday and he scored. Hopefully he can do even more in the super easy games they got coming up.

The problem for me is getting him in. My heart says keep faith in Greenwood, but my brain says Zaha might be the better player to have.
If they both play 180 minutes in the double then it might be close. Problem is how much will they play?

I feel I want Son and Salah as welland dropping Lingard when I got him for the great fixtures would be insane.

Thinking of getting rid of Fernandes. Seems a crazy move but I could get Son back in for his excellent run of fixtures.
Also looking at Everton players - maybe James Rodriguez/Sigurdsson for injured Neto as they have a game in the blank.

You need Son this weekend for sure. Pure percentage move.
But going without Bruno in his potential double could be carnage.

Zaha is one of those players to file alongside the likes of Ward Prowse.
Players who only seem to haul massively when you don't have them.

Having a double is his one sell point, and decent games in them too. But then Palace aren't exactly attacking king pins.

Transfers just about paid off this week and the -8 option I was mulling over would have been worse. I welcome another small green to go from 15.4k to 13.8k.

Next week looks pretty tough decision-wise with a whole load of OK, but indifferent options.

Mendy
Azpi Rudi Castagne
Salah Bruno Greenwood
Kane (c) Nacho (v)

I’ve then got to pick two of the following five to join them: Dallas, Dunk, Lingard, Jota and Bamford. No idea which right now.

Would prefer not to make a transfer until fixture news.

He is still the main striker/attacker for Palace. I always love me a star player from a smaller team.
18 points after Covid when I sold him last time sucked, but he should be playing now.

He might do like Wilson did in his double. Absolute nothing and then get a haul after selling him.

There are no good double alternatives. Sigurdsson do not give me much confidence and James form is a bit off.
Armstrong could be good, but not really good enough. El Ghazi is too much of a punt that he starts.

Bound to be pep esque carnage with that league game for Chelsea falling between euro semis.

Why are Leicester playing their next 2 on Friday nights? Especially this week when they only played yesterday...?
Just to annoy us that we don't have a longer period to assess news and stuff.
Bet we don't hear about doubles by Friday

Jota to Saka/pereira
White to castagne.
Pull the trigger?

Castagne, brilliant.
Not sure on the first part. Does Saka have a double? Is he nailed?
Jota's run of games for the last 4 are worryingly good.

Yeah Jota had a shocker at the weekend but Southampton, West Brom, Burnley and Palace for the last 4 is asking to get burned imo. Happy to bench him against us as he probably won't start.

If I want to jump on the Zaha wagon I'l probably lose Son which will free up the funds to turn Bruno into Salah in 36.

Problem is I need to get rid of jota in order to have the funds to get castagne. I have salah for Liverpool cover & Trent. Pereira a better shout?

I have a similar dilemma.
Funds can't come from Son this week, it's just you really want all transfers to be bringing in doublers right now, with so few weeks left.

I feel the lack of news is annoying. I know Palace vs Southampton will happen, but I want to know if I should plan for Zaha or not?

Cracked me up earlier...

Haha perfect. I feel Palace aren't as bad as people make them out to be.

They get smashed by the big teams a lot apart from us with 1 point against them, but against the weaker sides they can be decent.

They are higher in the league than both Southampton and Sheffield and they now might play them both.

Do you want Azpi for a hard double starting? If yes then keep him. If not go with Dias.

I have Azpi and I am not sure. I feel a move to Digne might be justified, but it feels silly to sell a guy with a double.

Well one way to look at it is that you're almost certain to get at least one game from Azpi. You might get zero from Dias.

Yeah just thinking you would bench Dias for the double anyway.

I am not sure if I want to start Azpi over TAA for the double, but that is a huge call potentially.

The double is hard, but Chelsea is strong in hard games. Although you also need to take into account that he could get a rest in the second game.

When will the DGW fixtures be confirmed? I'm not sure whether I should make transfers for the DGW to BB then use my WC after for the BGW or use my WC this week and then BB.

My current squad is;
Mendy, Martinez
Azpi, Coady, Shaw, Dallas, Lowton
Son, Bruno, Lingard, Maddison, Jota
Watkins, Kane, Kelechi

Potential WC squad:
Martinez, Guita
Shaw, PVA, Digne, KWP?, ???
Bruno, Maddison, Zaha, Sigurdson/James?, ???
Kane, Kelechi, DCL

Always a risk taking Bruno out, but on sheer percentages you can only imagine Son has a better chance with the level of opponent.
Will need Bruno back in though with a very likely double.
Only Everton, Villa, Soton and Palace have an extra game left to play. So not sure about the doubles for other teams as they would be followed by blanks. Overall all other teams would be playing 5 more games, whether its all single gws or one double and one blank doesn't make a huge difference.

Bruno --> Son.

Martinez
TAA, Shaw, Castagne
Salah, Jota, Son, Lingard
Kane (C), Nacho, Watkins

Areola, Holding, Coady, Raphinha

Confused whether to take out any of those 4 Liverpool/United players for Coady and/or Holding who play WBA and NEW.

Who would you rather drop out of TAA, Shaw, Salah, Jota?

Ederson
Chilwell Maguire Dais

Lingard Rashford Rodriguez El Ghazi

Werner Kane Vardy

The last roll of the dice won’t get anywhere in the leagues so just looking for a higher score to finish on.

Looking at a free double transfer of Coady & Jota, to Castagne and Ward Prowse.

2 doublers brought in. Risk is Jota has a strong last 4 games.

"Safer" choice is simply doing Coady to Rudiger, and hope he isn't rested in between the Euro semis.
And then using Son's value to next week do a -4 to bring in 3 doublers.

I think Castagne is a great pick, but he blanks I think so make sure you do not have too many with blanks.

Not sure about Ward Prowse. If Ings plays he got the pens. Might score a free kick though. Armstrong could be better, but not fully as nailed.

I rather get Zaha, but he is expensive and vs City I would not start him.

Good call on Ings. Hadn't realised he's the penola man. In fairness WP missed his last one. That was painful as my rival had Johnstone that day, and a goal would have meant a 2 pointer, instead it became a 15 pointer with that one save!!

Castagne has 2 good games, then 3 ropey ones. It might be possible to risk going without him, go Rudiger, then re-assess.

Hard to tell with Chelsea. It's certain Thiago Silva won't start at the weekend, so Zouma will come in.
But Rudiger misses out in fantasy scout's predicted line ups, with Azpil moved central, and James right wing back.

Rudiger could still work as a future proofing transfer and to bin Coady, rather than wasting a transfer, and thus leaving 2 freebies next week, once Son's good game is done.

Anyone?

Jota from those. Least certain to play 90.

I think TAA could be dropped instead, but I feel he can get points in so many different ways.

Salah and Shaw I would play for sure even if only one of them likely haul at the same time.

You could bet against both teams to be fair, but I do feel we will be motivated vs Liverpool just cause it is Liverpool.

Sound points there. Even Jota looked the most likely to score last game, should have had multiple goals just kept on wasting absolute sitters.

Gut feeling is to keep it that way. WBA have looked good on scoring front and they are at home vs Wolves who got trounced by fecking Burnley. Holding vs Newcastle looks a bit better but they are prone to troll their owners. Funny I brought these defenders for these kinds of fixtures but can't bring myself to drop the attacking assets.

I think we are pretty solid at defending, but yeah always a risk benching strikers for defenders. Wood owners know that or some that benched him. Also I think Jota has 5 blanks in a row in CL plus PL.

Funny enough I had him for all of those due to those 2 goals vs Arsenal from the bench and goals for Portugal as well that convinced me to get him. Even though I have called him a potential trap before for his non nailedness.

The main reason I am benching or selling Jota though is that I do not want too much Liverpool against us haha.
I would bench Salah too if I had more quality options, but can't justify him with his level. Raphinha is also injured for me who I could have played instead.

I think having TAA is fine cause if we do suck in attack at least you get some points out of it. He is also highly owned so at least you are not alone to suffer if he fails. If I had Dallas, Shaw, Castagne, Alonso, TAA though then I would bench TAA I think and probably Shaw as well. Bench them for Rudiger maybe as well, but feel Rudigers ceiling is a bit low.

Bench one of these .... Dallas, Digne, Dias, Alonso, Reguillon ?

Currently on Dias because I feel he has the lowest ceiling. The others all have better attacking prospects to go with the clean sheet chance. *waits for a Dias bullet header*

Sexy team for this week. I would bench Dias. Alonso may not play so you got to hope he do not come from the bench.

I personally think he starts.
