Fantasy Premier League 20/21

Playing Pep roulette is risky though ... KdB and Gundogan just rested?

Jota (for the money) could be a very good buy. I'm considering it.

Klopp Roulette can hurt too. City look way stronger than Liverpool though.

In 32 Liverpool play Leeds and then have no blank in 33. Thus I may do Gundogan to Jota for that week potentially.

Problem is that might be the game that Jota gets the rest, but if they are out of CL they will surely play the best team all games?
Thus is Jota in that first 11 is the question? Or will Firmino be in it?

City do, that's why most people have 3 of their players - I do, but only 1 MFer and it's Gundogan cos he's cheap.

Jota got 46 points in the 8 games before his injury. Liverpool forwards have played a lot of games. I can't see Klopp using him as just an occasional player because of fatigue and him giving them something different.

Given their run in, I think he's a very good option and for £6.6m, not wasting loads if doesn't play... unlike Salah, Sterling, KdB. Similar price to Watkins and Bamford who play week in, week out and do f all (I have both :( )

Jota will play enough to be worth it. Firmino has been awful, and the other 2 will need rotated. Other games they'll play all 4

You think Jota play more or less than Mount? I am not too happy to have him either long term.

I think Maddison is the one I want post the game against City to replace Gundogan.

So my midfield plan for the future is Bruno,? Smith Rowe, Maddison, Son?

That last spot right now is Raphinha, but I will have enough money to uppgrade him.

Thus Jota fights with many players to justify being in my side. I have enough money for Rashford as well, but could use money to uppgrade defenders and forwards too.

I want someone nailed ideally since my bench will be weaker then even if Smith Rowe is decent.

I think Saka could be a good shout, horrible fixtures though? I think I am going with Bruno - KDB - Saka - Jota - Son

I think that midfield is beyond me with Kane as well up top. Although if I get Iheancho I could get it I think and get Smith Rowe for Saka.

Problem is I can't replace Ihenacho if he turn to shit without freeing up money.

I think keeping Gundogan makes more sense than getting KDB right now. I try to predict Pep, but I have no idea 99% of the time.

Actually been pretty lucky with Peps rotation of my players overall this season.

I think that its going to have to be one of Son or Kane for me too, Spurs blank and have United And Everton before so may be not worth having both.

When is the double? I had hoped for it before the blank.

I think getting them out and in is too many transfers. I think I rather just sell my City players to cope with 33.

Think I am happy to go without City looking at the fixtures they got. If City goes out of the Champions league I might rethink though since KDB might be more nailed then.

No idea out of those two. I'd probably edge towards Jota but toss a coin. Your midfield looks quite cheap, where's the cash spent? For £2m more, I'd hope Jota justifies it over Smith Rowe (points wise). I'd like Maddison too (had him pre injury) and may be back soon.

Odd game now as a mix of injuries and form and manager roulette has meant the usual suspects are not performing and when they cost £9m and above, it's a lot of money to tie up? Regardless, the top.5 players of the entire thing had Bruno, Gundo, Salah, Son as a MF4 so shows how samey the teams are now.

The flip-side is there will be good differentials. Key is picking the Iheanacho or Ward-Prowse type pick BEFORE the masses jump aboard... Odegaard? Also, looking at the remaining fixtures and planning transfers for the right time - for example, I wouldn't pick a Leicester player short term, but then their fixtures get much easier for a few games. So, do you pick one now/bench or plan fixtures going fwd and work out the time to do them... probably the latter for me.

I think I might WC for GW30. The urge to finally get rid of Bamford and Watkins is too great. I have at least 5 players in mind I want to bring in, hopefully 2 are not mass owned. JUST outside top 100k, want to break that.

My current midfield is Salah, Mount, Son, Gundogan, Raphinha. I plan to change it around though by selling Salah and maybe Mount for the blank. Smith Rowe to free up some money Then get Bruno back as my plan for Brighton or wait 2 more weeks. I may get Auba and keep him for Sheffield United and then bring sell him for Jota/Salah when Liverpools fixtures turn.

I'm the only one in my leagues top.7 without Salah (have Bruno obvs).

118 points in first 14 GWs, 56 in the next 14 GWs. One of the main reasons I've gone up so much as they've stuck with him and not reallocated money elsewhere. Great :)

Not sure about Son (I have him too). Jose says no timescale but who knows.

I don't want to sell Son only to see him start, but if the reports says weeks then I maybe should do it.

Lacazette is tempting me for this week.

Players that could feature in my squad.

Martinez
Konsa, Dunk, Dier(lol)
Son, Saka, Soucek
Kane, Watkins

Could possibly take a -4 and bring in Lacazette and Raphina

Who would people replace Salah with? Let's look at the options (I currently have the bolded ones):

Mane - traditionally they share the outfield points but Salah is on pens. However, Salah is playing wider now, which gives Man more space in the box. Blanks GW29.
Jota - cheap route into a misfiring Liverpool attack. Might share minutes with Firminho. Blanks GW29.
Son - Injured but will recover soon I reckon. Since Bale has come in, his shots in the box and general presence in the box has waned. May play GW29.
Bale - Looks good attacking but you need him to get your points early as he is always subbed around the 60 minute mark. Plays GW29.
KDB - Is no longer safe from the Pep roulette. An expensive player for someone that isn't guaranteed 90 minutes and isn't the force he was last season. Blanks GW29.
Grealish/Maddison/Barnes - All great options but all injured.
Bruno - Most have him so not really an option but those that don't, he's the obvious replacement. Blanks GW29.
Auba - I won't get this troll but he can be a differential. However, he will be rotated due to Arsena;'s best route into UCL being Europa League at this point. Plays GW29.
Keep Salah - Maybe blind faith but without an obvious option, do we stick with him as he become super saiyan levels of greedy in the last stretch of the season as he gets desperate for that Golden Boot. Blanks GW29.

What do y'all think?

Auba or Bale I think as a punt that I could keep. Then Bruno in for them at some point.

Brighton is not an easy game for us though and then we got Spurs. So I think getting Bruno could wait, but I probably want him for Brighton anyway and may even captain him.

My advice is to just get rid of Salah. He's blanked for like 5 gameweeks in a row now and I'm swapping him out for Fernandes. Doesn't matter if most people have him, he is the FPL king now and always guarantees you points so it's better to have him to keep up with the rest.

I already own Bruno and Son...

Jota for about half the price is a no brainer I think

Any recommendations on what to do with my team for GW29.
Meslier
Dunk, Cancelo, Dallas
Soucek, Salah, Lookman, Son
Bamford, Kane (c), Watkins

Subs: Martinez, Bruno, Lowton, Shaw

I have two free transfers, I'm very likely to take Cancelo out for Tierney but I'm really not sure who to take Salah out for. The obvious choice is Auba but with him being on the bench for disciplinary reasons against Spurs I'm a little worried he may be benched again. I would have gone Bale but triple Spurs coverage for a team that doesn't attack much seems like overkill. Any other choices people would go for?

I think Auba will play. Arteta made his point.

I would get Raphinha. I can't personally get him and that worries the shit out of me.

I fecked my team a while back (when Grealish got injured) by bringing in Struijk instead of Raphinha. Now I can't get Raphinha because I'm triple Leeds (Dallas and Bamford being the other two.

I have 8 players playing in the blank and two free transfers so can do one of the three options below:

Use three transfers for a -4 and get 11 players playing.

Martinez
Cresswell, Struijk, Dallas, Dunk
Son, Bale, Traore
Bamford, Kane, Antonio

Or use four transfers for a -8 and get 11 players playing. The extra transfer is because I need to drop Struijk.

Martinez
Cresswell, Dallas, Dunk
Son, Bale, Traore, Raphinha
Bamford, Kane, Antonio

Or use three transfers for a -4 and get 10 players playing.

Please help/advise.

Yeah I'll probably will go with Auba when push comes to shove. I would get Raphina in but I've already got three Leeds players.

I don't think you really need help from us, buddy. But for what it's worth, option A for me.
We all need help buddy! I desperately do, especially with this...

Option A is where my head is at currently. I didn't think others would feel the same.

Dunk vs Veltman?
Raphina vs Saka vs Soucek vs Lingard?
Dunk vs. Veltman depends if you are using your WC soon? If it's a one/two week punt, get Dunk as he has more goal threat. But if this player will remain in your team for the foreseeable, get Veltman as Brighton's fixtures take a bad turn after this week and you want cheap bench fodder.

As for the other question, Raphinha 100%. Saka took a knock, Lingard and Soucek playing Arsenal. I would bet towards Raphinha getting something against Fulham. They also have Sheff United the week after.

I have 7 players (including Son) and 2 free transfers for this gameweek. Seriously tempted not to use both of them as it looks better to plan for good fixture runs from 30 onwards than 1 average single fixture in this one. Think I want to bring in double Chelsea defence from 30, with Jota and Iheanacho also on the radar to bring in soon
