Fantasy Premier League 20/21

Can someone tell me why many folks have Lookman in the team? I have him for 2-3 weeks now and he does nothing much. Is his potential that high?

Fulham dont score much. He's in some teams I guess as a cheap mid that always plays and get the occasional goals.

People have probably been easing him in over the last couple of weeks as a cheap playing option for the reduced game week coming up.

KANE, WATKINS, BAMFORD

The players in CAPS potentially play in week 29, the two with (D) are doubts.

I have two options
  1. Attempt to cover off a keeper (Martinez/Areola), and then probably Son and Lingard as my 3 freebies and not use the FH (Hoping at least Grealish is back playing, and that I'd have 9 players)
  2. Make 2 transfers this week with a view to this week and 30 onwards, and use the FH in Week 29? This would allow a lot more power as I could get the likes of Auba, Antonio, Tottenham defender etc in too). This may have the risk of not beefing up when Tottenham/Everton/Villa have their doubles, although a wildcard could cover those)

The complication is that I'm in a cup semi final, with £55 riding on it, and if i win I'd have a great chance of moving that up to £100 by winning the final, utilising that FH.
 
Need some advice. Should I swap out Salah for Fernandes? I mean Fernandes is a no brainer at this point or for Bale because Spurs has a game next game week and I thought I will just use my free transfer for next game week too. Thinking of swapping out Ings for Vardy too but Vardy hasn't scored for a while and I'm thinking of going for Iheanacho who has been in great form lately.

Quite tempted to bring in Bale for JWP if Grealish won't be back for 29 but it seems like we'll not find that out in advance.
 
Grealish again is out for the next game but "hopeful" for the next one. That dishonest Smith should have just said it's 6weeks at the start.

Kane a bit of a knock, but will play for sure.
Bruno will play but United have no striker bar Greenwood, which means it's Dan James and AN Other out wide, so his chances are a bit shaky too.

City against a defensively strong Fulham (feels weird writing that)
Auba tough game v Totty
Chelsea away at Leeds.

Quite difficult.

Chelsea might reap some gains against Leeds but at the same time you just never know how with Leeds! Havertz in a false 9 looks a tasty option for me.

As things stand, Kane is my captain but I'm considering KDB.
 
Hmm. Very tempted by Aubameyang in for Salah. Would give me another player for BGW29 too... if Arsenal don't rest loads of players v West Ham for the EL.

Need to get Barnes out, so maybe Salah - Son and Barnes -> Raphina, or Barnes -> Saka and Stones -> Targett.

Worried because mini league rival has KDB (Im leading him) but I don't want to bring him in because of the blank and trying to get more players for it.
Dont mind doing a -4 also

I stick for this week then make that move next week.

Getting Bruno back is more tempting, but I hold that move too.

It is funny everytime I captain Bruno we pretty much fail. We have 0 wins from 4 games with Bruno captain.
When he is my vice captain though we score for fun more often than not ;).

I have him. Bought him in last gw as thought Brighton may be able to keep a clean sheet vs a Leicester missing Barnes and Maddison. Worked well...
But at 4.3m, he is nailed (now Lamptey is out) and has got points for goals and assists recently.
And of course Brighton play in bgw29! No brainer for me.

Salah has a better fixture imo. Auba/Bale will set you up for GW29 but I'd leave it another week.

Veltman good pick. Brighton have a couple of very good fixtures and he has good attacking stats.

Not a bad shout. El Ghazi will have about 47 shots, 1 might go in. I'd rather have Richarlison than DCL at the min. Probably low ownership too.

El ghazi didn't play the last game so he needs to get his place back..but adds more fun to tonight's game.

Richarlison v Burnley could be a smashfest or a classic Everton underperformance.

But he's in form and just as importantly they have a double dropping soon with a decent chance it's week 30.
Freehit in the middle to really beef up on the best mid and defence and probs get bamford back although Antonio might be an option.

Sod it..that's the plan then.
Leaving captaincy on Bruno.

As for Son v Bale id go Son but may well bring both in for 29.
 
Is there going to be another big blank then? Can't decide whether to free hit next gw. Only have 5 playing but 2 FT and could take a hit for an 8th I guess.

I'm second in the league though and the leader will have 9 playing with 2 FT.

Week 33 has the league cup final so city tottenham and two others without games. City have had their double but totty will have one.
That's still an 8game week though.
This one still leaps out as fh time.
Its not just getting "a" 7-8 player team it's being free to pick the best 11 of the week.

Cheers. Makes me less inclined to get Son back in then, and get more prepared for that. Big risk that though. Would obvs put him in on the FH though.
 
Been thinking about captain options this week:

Bruno
West Ham are quite solid defensively
Moyes seems to feed his players PEDs before they play United
We could be missing Rashy, Martial and Cavani... I can imagine watching this game and screaming at James/Greenwood for wasting chances :lol:
I think Bruno has only had something like 4 shots in the box in his last 4 games or so... that's worrying

Son/Kane/Bale
In form team but it's a derby, so form kind of goes out the window
Arsenal can be tight when they want to
I can imagine Mourinho parking the bus if they are a goal ahead
Kane got a minor niggle in the Europa League
Spurs played mid week, so Arsenal will be fresher

KDB/Mahrez/Gundo
Fulham are quite solid at the back
City spread the goals
If I had KDB/Mahrez, they would be my captain, not as confident with Gundo

Salah
Wolves aren't as solid as years gone by
If Fabinho plays in MF, that can be good news for Salah
Liverpool in bad form but are coming off a win in the UCL
Salah wont be rested as Liverpool dont play for ages after this game

I'm leaning towards Salah with the intention of kicking him to the curb if he blanks. This feels like a week to take a slight gamble.
