Fantasy Premier League 20/21

It always seems like a toss between Raphinha and Harrison in Leeds team. Both players seem to come up with a goal or assist.
I am just confused whether dropping Maddison for them is worth it.
Both Arsenal and Liverpool will give up chances, it’s a gut call on who you pick and Kane’s got City so maybe not a necessity this weekend. It’s a tough call but I’d go Leeds if it were me..

Raphinha has picked up 33 points in his last 4 games for what it's worth.

Anyone triple captaining a City player better not come in here and cry about being Pep'd later. You know the risks!

Ffs i triple captained foden and now i read this you jinx, but yeah pep roulette is a major issue!

So is DCL definitely out for this GW?

Sounds pretty likely.
But better to be very likely out for both then have a small chance of making the second, bearing in mind it's the first game, home to Fulham that has the real gains.

Good news is we have tomorrow and pressers etc to get a good handle on what's ahead.

Annoying thing with the DCL thing is that he might well have a double in week 26 as well, but he has to be shipped now.

Richarlison I wonder about. But he just doesn't produce very often.

I'm gonna play Bamford and bench DCL. As you said, his upcoming double makes things difficult.

Every time I plan ahead, this game fecks me in the ass.

DCL could be benched if it’s not too bad, I wouldn’t want to waste two transfers, especially if you’ve got Bamford to come in.

With my team it makes more sense to ditch Antonio, given the fixtures West Ham have coming up. I’m trying not to think about it till tomorrow evening, when hopefully there’s more info.

Yep, Bamford would be an interesting way round it.

You feel like you want to do a bit more exciting change for another doubler though I suppose.

I could do McCarthy and Ings for free, infor Mendy and DCL. But not too confident on it.
Just moving on Dier, or Justin (if bad) for Shaw could be a better bet this week.

Might be better to aim for Kane for week 26 than DCL too. A lot to think about.

I have a transfer to make. Not sure whether to double up on another Burnley defensive player or Swap Antonio.

Doesn't really matter what moves I make because I'm rich and I will be wildcarding soon.

Surely Forster will start for Soton now? Two clean sheets in the cup and another in the league (when McCarthy was injured)...

The more I think about it the more I'm tempted to leave Kane out of my team for DGW26.

I can quite easily upgrade DCL to him, but if DCL is fit, his two games in the DGW26 will be just as good as Kane's. This way, I also get to save a transfer as well as loads of money for other things.

I have Son so at least Spurs are covered somewhat.

Am I being stupid?

I have DCL pencilled in, with Bruno as vice. On 2nd thoughts, whilst Fulham don't win, they also don't concede many, Shitty don't concede at all.

Did you miss Dcl going off with a hamstring that is very likely to see him miss both games?

Fellow managers. Help me with one huge decision:
Rashford and Kane vs Salah and Cavani. Can't decide.

Apparently Dias was missing from training yesterday.

All eyes on the pressers and training pics today.

I'm waiting on news for Digne, DCL, Dias and Antonio.

Anyone going to take out Soucek/Antonio/Cresswell? Not sure because of tough fixtures, but they should get a dgw in 26? Also have no idea when to BB because I cant get more than 11 dgw players in 26 without taking a massive hit

I have Soucek, Antonio and Coufal. They don't have great fixtures, but they do have a fixture in BGW29. As I don't have my Free Hit, I'm tempted to keep at least 2 of them around for that gameweek. Although does seem a poor use of squad space to hold them for the next 6 weeks!

I'm someone who has constantly kicked myself in the teeth in FPL.

So I could have sworn that I captained Salah when he had the double vs West Ham. Honestly I remember doing it - but for some reason my FPL app had Stones (C) and Cancelo (V) and neither played that GW.

I then made stupid jumps - I switched out Soucek in the week he got 2 goals, then I dumped Foden for Lingard when Foden got 2 at Anfield.

I also took an 8pt hit to bring DCL this week in forgetting Everton had an FA Cup fixture yet, and he's not looking good

Also the fixture in BGW, I am going to have to bring them back in if I take them out as of now... just seems like its impossible to navigate both game weeks with using the bb to its max in the dgw without losing a lot of players for 29

Yep. I've decided not to use bench boost for that reason. Maybe try and use it after I wildcard in gw30.

Exactly why I'm TC'ing in 26 rather than bench boosting.

BB is an overrated chip really. For the (on average) 15-20 points they get from it people often have to either play their wildcard (a much better chip) a week earlier than they would otherwise, or set it up by spending precious fts on bench spots, or carry more cash than they'd ideally like afterwards. All of that comes with opportunity cost.

Ideally I'd BB in 24, wildcard in 25, TC in 26 with a bench full of 29 players. But it depends on injury news.

This season was the first year I've ever maximized it, getting about 35 points from 3 players (didn't even have a second keeper) in a 143 point week.

Downside is that you have to spread more money across the squad which can cause inevitable bench points in future weeks.
However, if ever there's a season to have a stronger bench it's a covid one!

McCarthy?

I was slightly worried he might have list his place to Forster, who played last night. But I'm hoping that's just an FA cup thing?

As soon I'll downgrade Mendy or Pope to someone to save some money, and he has at least one double coming, and at 4.5m is a bargain. (When they have their full defence back!)

Little rant here - If FF wasn't stupid when it came to putting obvious strikers as midfielders then there'd be more viable alternatives for a DCL replacement. Really hope they fix that next year.

So really need advice here.

Martinez
Lowton, Cancelo, Stones, Coufal
Bruno, Gundogan(c), Grealish, Salah
Bamford, Antonio

Subs: Forster, DCL, Son, Dallas

My plan is to swap Coufal and DCL to Kane and a cheap defender (maybe Alioski) next week and then swap Antonio for Watkins for the week after.

But DCL has most likely Soton and West Brom in the DGW26... doesnt get much better than that.

Is it worth going ahead with my plan or shall I think about keeping DCL?

Who would you captain in 26? I'm guessing Kane will be a very popular captain and triple captain pick that week, so if you want to tap into or cover that....

That probably dictates how important getting Kane is in for you. If captaincy isn't an issue then the fact that you already have Son means you might not want to double up anyway given all the other options.

Though that's all depending on how fit DCL is in two weeks' time.

I think I'm gonna TC Kane.

Most teams doubles have a tough game and an easy game. Spurs have two easy games and Kane will most likely play both. I can't think of a better TC.

It's just a shame that I need to drop DCL as his double will be two easy games also.
