Fantasy Premier League 20/21

Martinez to Pope for the double next week seems like madness now. Absolute points machine as has already been said

No, it'll pay off next week. But you went too soon. But even this week Pope could easily get a cleany and save/bonus.

Pope conceded to Brighton.
Thought he may, which is why I did the unusual strategy of bringing a transfer in and benching for a week!

Was nervous at every Newcastle goal, then saw Wilson went off injured on 36 for a 1 pointer! His owners must be fuming at that one.

People seem to forget both his rivals are specialist right backs. Castagne can play left side, but looks much better on the right.
Justin is also great at right back. Castagne was bought in to replace Chilwell, Ricardo was one of the best right backs over the last couple seasons. Hence people thinking "Justin will be dropped soon".

Guess we were all wrong!

Pope in and benching Martinez went well. Classic case of over thinking.

To be honest, it was the right move.

Arsenal on paper should score against Villa. The Burnley Brighton game could easily have been a 0-0. You go with the easiest fixtures, that is the right call and now you have Pope for the two doubles he has.

You were just unlucky.

I however, have Martinez yeeeaaahhhh! Get in you cnut!

I had good run with McCarthy but it is over now. I reolaced him with our Dave.
Big dilemma now is captain for next week. I go with Gundogan but Dias would be maybe good pick?

Only bright side to this is that Moyes didn’t take Antonio off before 60 mins, so I haven’t lost 2 points.

Sougal and Soucek both should be scoring those :( Guarantee Fulham shithouse a goal to cost me 9 points.

Back to captaining Bruno next week. The Antonio experiment has not worked out. First time starting Soucek in a while and feck all from him too.

According to the BBC text commentary, Antonio has even had less touches than the keepers!

And now he goes off!!!

Antonio captain was always a trap glad I avoided.

Yes, I think we can agree that the Antonio for captain movement has proved a bust. I can't buy a free scoring captain for love nor money.

And that's how you continue to make poor decisions in FPL. I just can't get anything going!

Tough luck cappers, though I am very glad as several rivals went for him too.

WH have looked awful today.

Glad I didn't captain Antonio.

Still used a free transfer to bring in Benhrama who was subbed off at 57 minutes though, so not great.

Not a good gameweek so far.

Wait people captain a West Ham player and then complain about bad luck?
It's not just that, from what I've been hearing from West Ham fans is that his finishing has been off for a few games too, so he wasn't necessarily in form either.

Meh. It was always a risk, but like others said I can’t be mad at a West Ham player blanking. Last week he came away with two assists, but I probably should have just captained Bruno and enjoyed it even more when he scores or assists.

From now on I think I’ll just captain him every week, unless there’s an absolute stand out pick, as it’s four captain blanks in a row for me.

That was harsh, thankfully I kept him on the bench.
