Fantasy Premier League 20/21

Bit of a disaster of a week with only 77 (and a -8) points so far. 14 points behind in the cup with only Konsa as a differential to come, as we both have Martinez. I'll likely more than double my rank from low 100ks to low 200ks. First red arrow for eight weeks in all likelihood. At least I was justified in not triple captaining or bench boosting, as none of my BB drafts or TC picks did well enough.

My minus 8 just about justified itself, with Trent, Son and Kane (with Salah as planned captain) to Dias, KDB (c) and Vardy: 26 (8 + 5 + 9 + 4) vs 38 (18 + 8 + 8 + 4). Unfortunately, now both KDB and Vardy are both out for a few weeks, more hits will be needed and I will likely have to take another -8 to sort my team out. A second City defender will come in for sure, and I'll have my choice of midfielders and forwards to pick from.

Who are people looking at for GW 21 captaincy now? KDB and Vardy were the obvious picks. Maybe I do bring in one of Son or Kane early for Brighton away? Could do a City defender or someone like Gundo or Foden?

21? Might punt on Cancelo. Surely a guaranteed clean sheet and maybe a long overdue attacking return. Also got Son against Brighton and I'll probably bring in Maddison for the Leeds game.

Sort of week where Ayoze Perez will bang in a hatty though just wait.

Yeah, my -8 is looking like Taylor, KDB and Vardy out for Cancelo/Stones, Maddison/Barnes and Kane most likely.

Why would you take Taylor out now he's back. Having left him in injured for a couple of weeks?
Vardy might be handy going forward too.

Maddison alone for free might serve you better?

Vardy is injured right? Getting Kane in is a logical move.

Is he? He played 88mins on Tue and came off as they were cruising a win out.

Edit..just opened fantasy scout and it's talking "long term injury" for kdb and vardY!

I was sold on getting Vardy and Rashford before to replace Son and Kane for the double, but went with Salah and Watkins instead for the money.
Had I done Kane to Vardy for a -4 it would have been funny only to take a -4 to get him back.

Either way I would be better off with Kane and Son who I now wants back anyway. Had I picked Antonio though I would be up on the deal. 50/50 between him and Watkins for me.

Watkins is bloody frustrating i can tell you. Alternates between looking utterly anonymous or missing loads of grealish created chances. Occasionally gets a haul which linked in with his games in hand seduces some of us to keep him.

:D How unfortunate. Gundogan it is then, possibly gets more freedom to roam now

He's certainly been looking a lot more forward thinking this last few weeks.
Will wait until after the fa cup and he's top of my list.
Maddison appeal reduces a bit with Vardy out.

Would have to do two transfers to get Salah in so may see out his next hard games until the other side of the city game.

Yeah I know. I don't want to sell him now since Villa will surely get more doubles to come.

There is not that many forwards I really want. Antonio now in form maybe, but they play Liverpool after Palace and also DCL when back.

I replaced Kdb and Soucek for Gundogan and Grealish. Time for 352. Watkins was a gamble which didn't pay off. Next transfer Dcl for Watkins.
My biggest dilemma was Maddison or Gundogan. But i guess Gundogan is on pens and is much cheaper so...

Wow, i needed 20 games to realise how expensive is to have 12mil players. For one Kdb and two dross you can have 3 good point bringing players.
Well, this is my first season so....learning i guess

Yes I think so. Ayling is quality bench fodder anyway. If you can upgrade Adams to Kane do it. If not I would keep or maybe get Bamford for him.
I got Bamford and Antonio as the other strikers. I can easily swap Che to Kane as I'll most likely be doing KDB to Gundogan.

The KDB injury will make things simpler for me. Finally able to get Son in. With the spare cash can also upgrade Raphinha to Grealish.

Martinez/Forster

Robbo/Cancelo/Stones/James/Coufal

Salah/Bruno/Son/Grealish/Soucek

DCL/Antonio/Bamford

Couple of players out of form but happy enough with that.

Yeah that move makes sense. I would probably hold that move one week rather than take a hit since I assume you only have one free. I am thinking of getting Gundogan and Kane as 2/3 next moves at least, but will wait one week on Kane.

Injuries/Covid may strike and change your mind and Adams may find form with Antonio getting injured again. Also Liverpool is not a great game for Kane so you would not captain him. Don't think a hit for that game is justified. Long run it may work taking the hit right now since Adams may blank anyway or whoever you play over Kane, but this season is so crazy that we don't know what will happen.

Like getting Son instead might be a move I/you want to make. I am not fully sure about getting 1 or both.

I am an idiot and got in Stones before the price rise, so my choices are either take a -4 for Gundogan now and get Kane for free next week or take no hits and not get Kane for Brighton.

Either way, I'll be taking a gamble. fecked myself with the early transfer to save a 0.2 swing in prices...

He was injured against Liverpool again and Burnley’s fixtures are shit. He only stayed in as a sub as I needed to prioritise other moves.

KDB out right now make most sense since you know he is out for long so the risk of him getting back and hurting you is lower. The only risk is the guy you getting in getting injured or getting Covid, but that is just bad luck. Gundogan is cheap enough though so even if he would miss 2 games for Covid you could hold him I guess so the risk of a -4 to backfire is not that big. Even if he is shit it does not hurt that much apart from wasting a City spot since you can always bench for the hard games and he do not stop any big hitters apart from maybe stop getting Sterling with a City spot. Adams you know can play and got a double so selling him may backfire more if he find any form.

I like your thinking. Doing the KDB to Gundogan for a hit this week and Adams too Kane next week.

Going to do the same I think although Wilson out rather than Adams for Kane, but watch City tomorrow. It may give us some clues how they are going to play without KDB.
Although could see a rest for Gundogan, but maybe see Silva or Foden as other options.

If Wilson has another stinker though then he may be stuck on the bench for a week.

I feel though if Kane hauls vs Liverpool at least we will see Klopp and Pool suffer. Another defeat for them would be funny.

Think I’m going to sleep on it. I won’t lose any value on KDB anyway. Everyone seems to be going to Gundogan, but I don’t really see obvious upgrades in other areas now that Vardy is out.

I’m tempted to swap for Maddison, even though it feels scary to go without any City attackers for those games coming up. Will Maddison be hampered by Vardy being out too?

Too many questions for 12.30am after a few beers. Best to rethink tomorrow.

Gündogan , Foden or Sterling for KDB?
If Foden played, it would be him. But he doesn't...

Gundogan on pens and usually plays so good shout.

Sterling could be a decent differential of you still have your wildcard.

Personally I'd say Gundogan, so you can distribute the saved money so through the squad.

I’m undecided between Sterling & Gundogan at the moment. I agree, Foden is too risky.

So Southampton merked up Arsenal and therefore Southampton and Leeds won't have a DGW anytime soon... Time to kick Che Adams the feck out of me team that smelly cnut.

If you have WC and are looking for differential, get Sterling.

If you are doing well already then get Gundogan.

Should I cash in Mane or they will find some form and he would pay off with some points?
