2 whole points from the triple United attack so far!

Maguire and Bruno now both on 4 yellows when I return to my GW19 team.
 
A bit of a shit start but luckily I gave the armband to Kane ahead of Bruno.

12 points from 4 so far.
 
Hmm. Already 3 duds in my FH team. Patricio, Bruno, Wilson. Got a Rashford assist though so not all bad.
 
Excellent, free hit in Keane and he scored

Just panicked, the feed I'm watching our game on just said Tottenham vs Villa off, I have Son as Captain and think Kane as vice, fortunately they're actually playing Fulham!
 
10 from 3 players. I wasn’t expecting too much from Wilson and everyone has Bruno anyway. Mini league rival has 10 from 6, so I’ll take that going into tomorrow.

Wolves & Everton concede. Nothing from Neto. Rashy/Martial/Cavani minimal return - only one assist for Rashy.

Need some actual points though as I'm on -2 so far with my -4 and a 2 pointer from Bruno!

It's probably worth taking a 2 point Bruno to pay the captainers back!

Triple United went reasonably well with Maguire and Rashford returning. Double Newcastle went as expected :boring:
 
Triple United of Cavani, Bruno and Rashford disappointed but oh well.

Got a tough draw in the cup with us both free hitting. Now that Cavani and Wilson both got 2 pointers, the remaining differences are my Lloris, Dias, Holding and Kane armband versus his DDG, Cancelo, Dier and KDB armband. I basically need that Arsenal clean sheet or Kane to haul to avoid an exit.

More worried about GW19 already where both Leeds players are going to drop to a single GW, Villa may well drop to a single GW at least, and Maguire and Bruno have 4 yellows. Suddenly only have Salah, Trent, Robbo and Soucek who I can feel assured of doubling, with no City assets! May well be wildcarding by Saturday morning.
 
Martial is such an infuriating player to own in FPL. Could have easily got 10-12 points today but blanks instead. Fortunately so did Wilson so all in all I haven’t lost any ground.

Thinking which of Dier, Tierney, Saka or Lacazette to drop for a player with a double next week. Leaning towards Lacazette to Antonio but that would also give me enough funds to upgrade Saka to Maddison which is tempting considering Leicester home double... Dier to Stones sounds good too.
 
Not using the free hit is looking OK so far, that Shaw bonus was a nice surprise.
 
Cavani, Bruno, Neto all 2 points. I decide to take a risk on Cavani and Neto as I did not want to go with the crowd on Wilson. Did not pay off.

Now hoping that if Brighton get spanked all the points come from KDB and Sterling.
 
My options for 19:
Take a -8 and bring in Meslier Antonio and Cancelo, play the bench boost with 27 players playing.

Martinez Meslier
Cresswell Cancelo Dallas Taylor Holding
Son Salah Bruno Soucek Grealish
Antonio Bamford Kane

Or take a -4 and Bring in Cancelo and KDB without playing BB and have the following team:
Martinez
Dallas Cresswell Cancelo
KDB Bruno Son Soucek Grealish
Kane Bamford

Need some advice guys.
 
I cannot believe what just happened. So I wanted to make the move of KDB and Soucek in for 2 other players. I had the exact amount ready. I press the transfer button and it doesn't go through. I refresh and Soucek has gone up 0.1m and I'm now short.

So mad.

Edit: Is it sad that I want to email them and complain. FFS

That's sucks. I'm also now short as I had the exact money for Soucek (from Bissouma).

But if DCL is injured, I can take a hit and swap him for Antonio, that'll free up the funds I need...

People making early transfers are adding stress to this season because these thick shits don't realise that Covid affects footballers too.

I didn't even think about my transfers tbh till now and then thought ok let me just check. I did the transfer and thought ok this is perfect. Press the accept and then I look at my team and I'm like huh nothings happened. Then I check again and I'm like feck I literally just missed the transfer by like 1min. What shit luck.

I can maybe go Sterling now? KDB was supposed to be my triple captain. I'm going to have to look for another Soucek replacement. This is so annoying because that move already meant I was taking a -4. No way am I swapping 3 players.
 
Took a cheeky punt on Wood for Wilson - working out OK so far. Felt with Wood's doubles he will probably get more opportunities than Wilson in a single. Plus he'll get extra 2 points for turning up.
 


Some help please guys. So as mentioned in my post above I completely fecked up my perfect move and now I'm short 0.1m.

I need to get rid of Mahrez and Grealish. I'm struggling what to do . I could go Sterling instead but the whole point of this week was to BB and now that my team is a bit shaky I'd rather just utilise the Triple captain on KDB.

I could get away with Sterling triple captain and add Soucek or Raphina.

What would you do?

Saved my FH. Only 8 players involved. Luckily I've built a decent lead in most mini leagues, so hopefully I'll remain on top in most of them, even though 90% of the biggest competitors are free hitting.
 
So is the Leeds - Soton game going ahead? If it does I'm thinking of taking out Charlie Taylor as he's an injury doubt, any suggestions for a defender up to £5.0m?

Well, that obviously depends on the rest of your players. But Dallas is an obvious option, as is Alioski. Not likely to keep many clean sheets, but both are offensive threats.
Bednarek has been very good for a solid Southampton side, and Ben Mee should be starting every game for Burnley unless injured. He also scores a few bonus points whenever Burnley keeps a clean sheet, and they do look more solid lately.
 
13 points from DDG, Bruno(c), Neto and Saiss. Was hoping for more. I'm hoping for 20+ points from KDB, Dias, Dier and Kane.

Laporte and Ake are injured. He's also in hot form. Divide that by Pep and the answer to your question is... He won't start.

I'm gonna have to turn to Wood again if Villa and Everton is postponed (Watkins was first choice).

I'm being so stubborn but absolutely nothing will detail this bench boost. I want that chip gone :lol:

It's an emotional game.
I run my work league and a senior manager emailed me furious he had used his fh the week two games were called off.


He'd calmed by the time i had replied.
He had triple city defence away at everton so it wasn't exactly guaranteed points he lost
 
Interesting. Ben Crelling seems to think that Villa V Newcastle could be rearranged to fall in GW19 instead (assuming the Everton match is postponed) so they could still have a double. Might find out later in the week.

Yeah, I mentioned this before. I think it is a possibility, rather than an expected development though, as this game could easily be scheduled for any of the European midweeks, so there should be no difficultly in getting it in. All the other rearranged games have involved teams competing in Europe.
