I had him as my 8th man then realised he'd never play over the other 7 so downgraded him to 4.5m Bissouma.
Has to be someone you play each week - a guy in my work league benched him for 3 separate goals!
Checked - he has him this week. He learns!
Time for DCL to exit stage left.
Baffled by someone who was competing for top in my league who brought him in AND captained him this week.
Amazing.
Also has Keane who didn't play.
Soucek should be a starting 5th midfielder set and forget all season. He can score against anyone
I think it is a bit of a fallacy to worry about leaving points on your bench. Had 11 non-GK automatic subs so far this season. Some expected, but many unexpected. I want to have my first and second subs who can return often. OK, that is usually a 4.5ish defender, especially this season where there are many options, but Soucek is a another perfect player like that. I’m usually happy to play him, but if I have four defenders that GW who have the ability and/or fixtures to offer a better expected return, I’m happy to bench him.
Anyone know if I play my free hit and can keep making unlimited changes between now and the next game week or do you get one go at it?
It's a stroke of luck getting a hauling sub in. Clearly the lower down your bench the more lucky it is!
Always going to be some unexpected hauls. Like when say Bissouma who is strictly my 8th man gets his once a season 10pointer. But you can bear those.
But Soucek pops up fairly often with goals so benching him is your own fault
With Bruno Salah Son and Grealish it's quite hard to see when you'd start him in my team - especially with Kane-Bamford- Watkins up front.
You could say perhaps Watkins tonight for eg. But Watkins has scored his multiple goal hauls v Arsenal and Liverpool and has been damn unlucky not to be on double the amount of goals so far so would invite trouble.
Coufal and Soucek definitely need monitoring though. No game in week 18 but Coufal would sub for Lamptey nicely.

Think the re-arranged fixtures make it much less likely I'll free hit, as I'm happy to take -4s for good City/United assets who play in 18, double in 19 and have good fixtures in the following weeks too. But it's a decision for much closer to deadline really unless you have barely any GW18ers.

Did the same thing, pretty much wipes out any hope of a bonus too unless he scores. Yet again went with Scout over my gut.

Imagine how much end product Grealish would have in a team that could finish what he starts. A shame we compromised with Van de Beek instead of Grealish.
That went pretty well - real life win - Bruno goal but not too much (with Son as cap) and Grealish matching Bruno for the 3 bonus. Although not sure if that'll change with Bruno getting the winning goal points added later?

Captained Bruno, owned Cresswell, Grealish and Martial. This day couldn’t have gone any better despite DCL blanking (which doesn’t really matter as everyone has him and it contributed to Cresswell’s haul).
Just glad Grealish didn't get a booking as missing that shorter week 18 would have been typical sod's law material!

I am sticking with him for now. 0.9m gain in value of which I can only bank 0.4m and I am not really thrilled with the 7-8m striker range. When Antonio is healthy again I may consider getting him instead.Many have ditched him
I could swap him for Vardy or Kane but that’s a lot of extra cash which I’m not sure will really be worth it.
