I wouldn’t take De Bruyne, would probably go for something like:

McCarthy Meslier
Chilwell Dias Cresswell Dallas Bednarek
Salah Bruno Rashford Grealish Barnes
Martial Antonio Bamford

That is 6 transfers but I am also left with a viable team after GW19. Losing a lot of value by removing DCL and Son though...
 
I can get to GW18 with 8 players with one -4 but it would mean my GW19 isn't as good as it could be.
 
This rescheduling of games makes my brain hurt. I was very much going to do FH + BB but not sure at all anymore. Skipping FH allows me to do Son -> Rashford already ahead of 18, and then I’d only need to move Dier for Dallas to have 15 doubles in GW19. Hoping Taylor recovers for Burnley’s GW18.
 
All the fixture movements make it damn impossible to plan. I am semi thinking saving free hit and using wildcard.

Sometimes you have to risk losing value. Although my DCL to Kane for 0.4m loss - well, probably 0.3m as he went down that same evening hasn't been a success so far.

Decent front 8. Giving yourself a problem from week 20 on though of who to bench.
 
So far I have the following potential numbers

Week 18 (9)

Dias, Dier, Lamptey (doubt)
Bruno, Grealish, Son, Bissouma
Kane, Watkins


Week 19 (9 doublers)

Mendy
Justin, Dias, Taylor (doubt)
Salah, Bruno, Grealish,
Bamford, Watkins


Think i've a reasonable team on paper with 1 sub this weekend, so will probably roll over for 2 free transfers next week - when the plan will be can I get in players who have a game week 18 - and a double week 19.

The major difficulty is Dier/Son/Kane play Sheff Utd away - which might well be just as good having them as doubles. or Jose's boys might continue their underwhelming form. But Sheff Utd are gubb.
Bruno Salah and Grealish all have doubles and are immovable. So it'd be Son's position that was the one to upgrade, and that'd need Kane's money to do so.

Maybe say De Bruyne/Sterling & Aguero/Jesus in for the 2 would work out better. But chances are that Aguero/Jesus won't play both.

Will say Antonio and De Bruyne in 4 games score more than Son/Kane?

So many blooming questions.
I guess the only thing is to get through this gameweek without a transfer, them I'm flexi for whatever is thrown this way next up injuries/covid etc.

My DGWK is short of Spurs players. Apparently the Ful game could be added in 19 so I dunno. KDB and Sterling look so tasty for the double now. I'm going to have to bring in Cancelo now as well.

You only have 7 players for week 18, and Brewster is basically dead weight who will get 1 or max 2 points. Mahrez has been in and out too.
No Tottenham and no De Bruyne or City defence.
That's before anything unexpected happens this week too!

Depends if you think having a packed cast for week 19 makes up for what could be a 20 point week in 18.

I'm 460,000 in the country but my 31 pointer was 5 1/2millionth in the country!
That's a real mad week!

Also means over 2 million people had crapper weeks!
 
@Sandikan I also took hits in anticipation of using my BB but now I'm tempted to ignore it and go triple captain KDB (highly dependent on who features against Chelsea because of Covid and how they play) but I could realistically just bench, Brewster McCarthy,Adams and 1 more.

Has anyone else had their plans completely changed?

Thought about exactly that but decided to stick to my (BB) guns. I just feel like De Bruyne look half a yard from his normal self when I last watched him play so wasn’t ready to compromise what will probably be the best bench boost opportunity of the season. However the only city player I managed to lever in is Stones, which could be costly.

Well I've done my transfer early because of price rise tonight but done Lamptey for Cancelo. I'll play the FH in 18.

I'll just have to see what happens over the next couple game weeks. My Mahrez to KDB will happen for 19 so let's see.

Martial Bamford DCL

Can get there without any hits or WC. I would have Dier, Taylor, Bruno, Rashford, Grealish, Martial and DCL for GW18 which may be just about enough.
 
Man City fixtures look really, but I don't think I will be touching their players due to rotation risk.

Could see many people going KDB TC in DGW19 only for him to blank in one game and get rested in the other.

I'm working off an exceptionally low base for my triple captain scores.
Both the last two years my City captain has secured me 1 point (well, 3).

Sane in a double game the first year, and he played about 10mins if game 2.
Sterling v Southampton a few weeks after they'd shipped 9 away at Leicester - did nothing and booked.

Would literally just need someone to play 60mins and not get booked to double my score this year!

It seems hit or miss on the triple captain. Think it was last year that I had Mane who was injured in the first few minutes of the first game and didn't play in the second game. City could rest De Bruyne or a Sterling in one of the games. Might take a shot on Bamford home agaisnt Burnley and Southampton

You brought Cancelo in? He's supposedly one of the city players with covid, which would be typical because I brought him in last week

I suppose the question is which players would you bring in on the wildcard that you can't otherwise get for week 19?
And do they make it worthwhile?

And where do Tottenham fit into the plan - as they have a superb single week 19 fixture.

It will be between Salah, Vardy and Fernandes for me.

Fernandes favours away games, and he has two. Salah favours home games instead and has two as well, but one of them is against us. Really don't want to be having dirty feelings while watching us in a big game against Liverpool.

What is the scoop on Burnley Charlie Taylor, he pulled a hammy last game will he make it for tomorrow and is it worth taking him out for the DGW
 
Had to change up my plans slightly due to City double and Taylor being injured.

Replaced Taylor with Dallas today (Taylor price about to drop).

Will still free hit GW18 as I can only field 6 players.

Then I'll do -4 to bring in KDB and Soucek for the double.

That'll leave me with 13 players who play in the double so perfect tone to bench boost.

I was going to bring in Johnstone as a keeper for the double as Forster won't play but now I can't... He probably would have got 4 points max anyway...

The second half of the season only just started! I think you should save it till at least a bit later.

I feel like I might regret this but I swapped out Martinez for Pope, as its always not advisable to make a transfer for goalkeepers but Pope just gets many clean sheets. Having to make a choice of captain between Son, Bruno and Salah. Any advice? Currently the armband is given to Salah but thinking of changing it to Son or Bruno, United and Tottenham have two winnable games at home while Liverpool is away so Southampton.
 
No way will I be touching City players this week. That’a going to end in tears. I’d like to get some in over the following weeks, but we know for certain that some will be unavailable this week. No complaining if someone doesn’t play and is self isolating.

On current form I’m going with Bruno, it’s a tough decision though. Liverpool have the toughest of the 3 fixtures as Southampton have been good defensively, but theres always a risk of Salah turning up and hauling against anyone. And Spurs have looked very poor lately due to the way they have been set up, but their style under Mourinho is perfect to counter Leeds and Son could end up with a hat trick.
 
FH in 18 still makes sense when I think about it. Could go from:

Dier Taylor
Son Bruno Greal
Martial DCL

To something properly insane like:

Ederson
Tierney Reguilon Holding
KDB Sterling Rashford Bruno Grealish
Martial Wilson

That should be a significant gain compared to the initial team. I guess as long as I can earn 15-20 points using FH that is going to be a good use of that resource?
 
Got Bruno and Salah in my team. I needed to use 4 transfers (2 of which were free) to do it but the -8 feels worth it. The key question is if you have Bruno and Salah who should be my captain?
 
9 players playing in Gw 18 for me. 24 players playing in Gw 19, could go as high as 26 with 2 transfers. My current strategy is no chips in 18 and maybe BB in 19 although I'm reluctant to do so. I just think that unless you feel really confident of a massive gain or a massive loss it's preferable to hold on to your chips. wacky season and there could be plenty of unexpected curve balls thrown our way.
