Fantasy Premier League 20/21

If you have Chilwell and aren't on a wildcard I'd probably leave it, unless it's the difference between getting a Salah/De Bruyne or someone in.

James has had the better of it recently, but Chilwell is still a supreme asset.

It would probably allow me to get Kane in the following week while keeping Grealish in midfield.

Chilwell/Jota (as 5th midfielder)/DCL for James/fodder/Kane.

Possibly not even worth it is DCL keeps firing and Jota gives me a nice option.

I have Grealish Neto Fernandes Kdb and Salah Kane DCL and Chilwell. Have to get rid of Justin of Leicester and get a better Gk as i just put in Johnston of WBA

Getting Salah in is so hard and he might not even play. Damned if I do and damned if I do not.

Basically it is Bruno plus Jota/Vardy/DCL out for something 1.5 million cheaper to fund the move.

Who would you sell or would you even get Salah? If I get Mane I can buy something slightly more expensive too.

Have no clue to who to give the captaincies out of DCL, Mane, Grealish, Fernandes, Ward-Prowse, Kane.

Ward-Prowse at home to Sheff United looks a safe bet but maybe only for VC.

Any suggestions for captaincy? I was dead sure on Salah but after Klopp played him for 100 mins mid-week, I am not so sure.
Other options are Bruno, Kane, Grealish, Bamford

Stuck in the same position as well no idea who to captain. I might just have fun with it and go for a wild pick. I really want to pick Bamford.

Otherwise I've taken my risky move. I should'nt have but for some reason I just got a feeling City over the next 6 games are going to go crazy.

Taken a -8 and Mahrez, Sterling and Bamford are in. Hope it works out.

Hmm... it would be odd if Klopp doesn't start Salah or play Salah at all.

They're on point with Spurs and against Fulham is a perfect chance to increase their low GDs. Fulham shouldn't be too underestimated. I have full confidence Klopp is a sensible manager and will play his best attack. This is PL.

Bench Soucek (away to Leeds) or Dias (away to Utd)?

Despite United's defence woes I feel they are likely to score v City. Can't expect much from a West Ham mid but the Leeds - WHU game should at least be open.

Salah played full dead rubber game in CL against Mitdjylland, this suggests to me that he's not going to be benched anytime soon... Would make no sense to play him there and rest him in the league.

Yeah I don't get all this panic about Salah being rested. He just had a game off in the league because of covid. As you say him playing the dead rubber makes no sense if he needed a rest. That suggested to me he needed match fitness.

People love to create a drama over nothing. At the end of the day players are going to be rotated over Xmas regardless of club. The schedule has always been ridiculous.

I fancy Leeds to keep a clean sheet against West Ham but I don't quite trust City to keep a clean sheet against United.

I think he will be rested against Fulham ready for spurs just 3 days later.

Bowen is my Jota replacement after this game. Next West Ham games:

Crystal Palace H
Chelsea A
Brighton H
Southampton A
Everton A
West Brom H
Burnley H
Palace A

Looks quite good and he will be my fifth midfielder so it's perfectly fine. Watkins to step in for Adams too. The week after next it will be Dier for Dias or Bellerin.

Dillemmas for this week. My team now:

McCarthy
Bellerin Vestergaard Cresswell
Salah Son Grealish Fernandes Jota
Adams Bamford

Bench: Martinez, DCL, Chilwell, Dias

Not sure if DCL and Chilwell should be on the bench...

I think Klopp said he spoke to Salah and Fabinho and both wanted minutes in UCL for match fitness.

I think Liverpool will rest Jota if anything.

Salah might have minutes managed of the damage is done, and if the damage is done then it's most likely done by Salah.

Watch Mane get a hat trick though!

With Spurs midweek, I think Jota is probably most likely to miss out, so it would make sense to start him against Fulham. It's also not crazy to think that he starts all of them against Fulham, taking a couple of them off early when they're winning.

I can only get Salah with a hit, and I’m not willing to take a -4 on getting rid of Son/Kane ahead of a game against Palace.

I have no idea what to do with them long term. I don’t really like having both but the fixtures turn good again in 3 weeks.

Captain choices very hard this week, wb McCarthy home to sheffield, surely a banker for a clean sheet right?

I'm in the same shoe as you before, using the "tough fixture" as a valid reason to get rid of them, and at best just keep one. They outperformed my low expectations.

Now I'm keeping them always as long as they're on this good consistent scoring and assist runs. Their forms are ridiculous, no signs of slowing down.

I'm putting Salah as captain. It's against Fulham, at least he'll nick a goal/assist or two if he's given small minutes.

In the small chance Klopp didn't play him at all, then VC Son will takeover, easy choice.

I think I’d be pretty comfortable if I had Salah too, but I can’t fit them, KDB, Bruno, Grealish all in. This is going to be the first week of the season I don’t make a transfer...that’s how bad my start was.

If Salah is benched, Liverpool deserves to lose. I'm captaining him (had a plan to triple captain and changed my mind after that CL game).

Then the max you get is 6 points (plus captaincy). Salah will top that with one single goal, it's worth the risk. Never captain a defender or GK unless you feel they'll save a pen/get an attacking return.

I remember people TC TAA on a double GW and the first one, Liverpool conceded straight away and he idn't get an attacking return and in the second game he just kept a single CS with no BPS.

KDB will lose penalty rights when Aguero returns to the line up in the next game or two surely?
