Fantasy Premier League 20/21

I wouldn't. He's costly, injury prone, will get rotated more than the rest of that team... you're better off keeping Kane than getting Aguero to be honest.

I'm not a fan of the rotation. I like having a bench that will just play and will only come in to fill in for injuries.

I have a deep team so will have to rotate but will try to not rotate my offensive players too much. From now on in my midfield I am going to have Salah, Grealish and Ziyech as permanent fixtures, and rotate Son and Rodriguez when needed, and in my attack Werner and DCL will play, Adams will be based on fixtures. I have to leave out at least 1 of Adams, Son and Rodriguez everytime though. In defence Chilwell will always feature, then it will be two or three from Cresswell, Dias, Bellerin, Vestergaard. Dias will be based on fixtures as he probably won't do much on offense, the others are quite potent offensively though so may be a bit tougher.

Chillwel or Digne?
Grealish or fernandes?
Or downgrade midfield and upgrade Brewster to Wilson/Watkins?

mccarthy
Walker Peters -Justin - lamptey
Fernandes - Rodriguez -Grealish- ziyech salah
Vardy - Calvert lewin- (Brewster)
Chilwell for me in the long run. Get both grealish and Bruno for now

Kane and Son plans everyone?

One is definitely going from my team over the break and maybe even both. Jose is usually very pragmatic in the big games and they have a brutal fixture list. Not reading much into the 6-1 result as we werent fit at all and also got a man sent off.

Never had Kane, hoping he has a block. Son I got for 8.9 and his value is now 9.6 so I can only get 9.3 back for him, will sit on that for the moment as I have the option of benching him and playing other players too. Their fixtures will eventually turn.

Only issue with team of high value is you will lose plenty when you transfer players out, e.g. I got DCL for 7.0 and he's now 7.8, Hamez went from 7.5 to 7.9, Chilwell from 5.5 to 6.0, Ziyech from 7.9 to 8.1, Son from 8.9 to 9.6, Grealish from 7.0 to 7.4... lots of value will be lost if I start messing with my squad too much.

Son to Bruno and Kane to Vardy makes the most sense for my team. Just I am not sure I trust us. I don't trust Sterling and De Bruyne either right now.
I also really like Ziyech, but I feel without pens he should not be as good as Bruno.

I just have a feeling West Brom will come and get a 0-0 against us. Would be so typical for us.

This is weird, why do we have the same kind of thinking?

Opting to go with Son to Bruno instead of Ziyech. I feel like I can trust him even if United play bad again.. and genuinely my inner child or something inside is screaming to have at least one United player in my Fantasy team, else my team feels soulless which it is. Plus, Chelsea's fixture seems to be harder than us even though usually our easy fixture is actually our hardest. And I know for sure Bruno have good fitness and can play in heavy fixtures whereas Ziyech probably is more suspect fitness wise. If only I can have both...

Going to make that change(s) once the international break is done next week, still have so many cash surplus in my bank.

Agreed, City especially KDB and Sterling are difficult to trust so far. I enjoy seeing other managers in my leagues having KDB and low points in return. It feels great.

Rashford could be good too, but no pens and his form is more up and down. I think I can always downgrade Bruno to Ziyech if things go truely bad for us in the first games.
To uppgrade to KDB takes two moves though.

I really wished we went for Ziyech. He was my main target in Oles first window, but we didn't really buy a winger apart from James.
Him and Bruno could have been a deadly attacking force. I like DVB, but he is not at Ziyech level.

Have done Foden to Ziyech. No point waiting as chances are it'll cost 0.2m to do that in a day or two, and maybe 0.3m later in the international break.

A spare free transfer to either clear that up if it goes wrong, or deal with TAA, Son, Kane, or anyone else later on.

Big gap in the team is a lack of Bruno and De Bruyne.
But I'm not sure either are in that good form to make either essential right now.

TAA owners in the mud.

4 weeks is good as it means he has to go!
It'd have been a 10 day injury that would have been awkward to handle!

All that wad loosened up.

So new question, I have Chilwell, Justin, Lamptey and Kilman.

What to do about a replacement? (Can't be Villa, have 3 of them!)

Digne.

There’s a balance with this in my opinion. Agree when you have value tied on up players you’re going to want all season that selling them is the wrong thing to do (Kane as example for me, got him at 10.5 and won’t sell him all season).

But for the other players it’s sometimes not a bad move - worth baring in mind that the profit only ‘materialises’ when you sell the player. With that in mind my strategy with value is to hop on and off a sub-set of players based on fixtures/form as well as prospective price changes. Example would be selling Son to take that 0.3m profit, as he has poor fixtures and will decrease in price anyway (loads of people will sell him), then put the money into Bruno, who is pretty much the opposite.. good fixtures and set for a couple of price increases over the international. This way you’re both playing the fixtures but also capturing the actual value that you get from price increases.

So is Milner going to play and take pens from Salah now? That would be a disaster or well make Salah as captain much worse.
Feel like for clean sheets it might not be that bad though for Robertson. Feel TAA is mainly good in attack.
Hopefully they attack with Robertson more now and he takes the corners.

I would really like that to happen to be honest so I can ditch Salah.

Unless you have the intention of bringing back a player soon, then ignore current price. Selling price is the actual 'value' of the player.

Personally see Salah and Bruno as the best two players in the game, and I think I will be proved right over the coming weeks.

Salah is already the third top scorer in the game. Though Son and Kane has the most points, they've had a ridiculously easy fixture run. Bruno has returned plenty despite playing one less game, and facing Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs where he got subbed off at half-time.

Wouldn't you only be proven right over a full season? Quite easy to measure over the upcoming weeks and pick out a player who has 3 easy upcoming games, vs Son and Kane who has the toughest fixture list of all

I've brought in Bruno for Son myself, mind you. Everything flows through Bruno. Comparing head to head with Rashford he's the obvious choice too. Couldn't bring myself to get two United players though, with our current skizophrenia - we still struggle against teams who sit deep.

Is there any way of checking on the mobile app what you paid for a player? For example, Son’s value is 9.6 currently and I get 9.4 back if I sell him.

But I can’t remember if I bought him for 9.2 or 9.3.

Yes. Uninstall the feckall app and go to the site on your browser.

Surely come GW10 people will be scrambling to get in City players...

There's got to be an Aguero/Sterling hat trick in there somewhere. Be a brave man who doesn't captain and vice captain a City attacker vs Burnley, Fulham, West Brom and Newcastle.

I'm looking at moving Son and Kane to KDB and Aguero in those fixtures although Kane could be a hold just for the guaranteed mintues. The ideal midfield 4 for me is Salah, Ziyech, KDB, Grealish. Will bring in Grealish at the end of the break for a hit as I've already put Cancelo in for TAA.

Think they will both be in top five by end of season. Was considering having both Bruno and Rashford too, but I want Vardy, and the double up would also block me from Grealish.

I've kept Sterling since GW6 despite him looking terrible and returning just 6 points, just because of those fixtures. Didn't bring in Chilwell too because I want Cancelo.

Think I will just go with the two because I doubt I would be able to take the Jesus-Aguero rotation.

Yeah which is making me side with going for just a defender and mid and keeping Kane. He's having a phenomenal season and I'll only want him back. Foden > Grealish and Son > KDB/Sterling will be my next transfers.

Tempted to swap Son out for Rashford...

Just realized if I am fine weakening my bench, I can potentially end up with this team in 3 weeks time:

Martinez
Chilwell Cresswell Dias Bellerin (Vestergaard)
Salah Bruno KDB Ziyech Grealish
DCL (Adams, Brewster)

THAT MIDFIELD HOLY FECK

It's Werner, Rodriguez, Son for KDB, Bruno and Brewster. Will think about it. With some moves in defence I could even keep Werner instead of DCL here.

If Aguero's back and they play well against Spurs then I may bring someone in but the only player I could KDB or Sterling in for is Salah and Pools fixtures aren't too bad.

I'll see how things go GW9 before deciding.

Whats the story with Saiss? Not played the last few games so Im thinking of getting rid.

Definitely the dream midfield.

Lost his place. He could very well win it back, but Wolves fixtures have taken a turn, so time to get rid. Currently looking at Cancelo, but Telles is tempting.

Definitely the dream midfield.

Not 100% convinced about KDB yet. He's not had a great season so far but then again everything goes through him for City and they will hit an easier run soon... I could take Sterling as well, or even Mane but don't want to double up on Liverpool's midfield.

Everton are at Fulham next while City play Spurs so won't make that switch yet, also I want to use bench boost to capitalize on my deep team before doing that.

Perfect. As I thought, I’ll lose value if he drops 0.1 annoyingly. I plan on swapping for KDB, but it looks like he might drop in value to even that out.
