Fantasy hockey 09/10

I don't think inter-league exists anymore.

There WERE inter-league games but it was very one-sided for the OHL... for example, when the Olympique were still in Hull, they ALWAYS played Ottawa as a yearly rivalry... the Mooseheads played a few games against OHL opponents, but the way it worked is the OHL team doesn't travel.

What the WHL and QMJHL have as a connection is non-existant... The Memorial Cup is a fantastic tournament but it needs to be expanded.
 
I'm not sure if my luck is going to continue! Now that I've made changes I'm sure it's going to run out....

Play Off time......

I have to say that this is the first time I've ever finished top of a fantasy hockey league in any format. I know the play-off's where it's at, but hey the President's Trophy is always nice on the shelf. However, my soccer team hasn't moved off the bottom of the red cafe fantasy league all year. So that's my bad karma for leading now I guess.

OK, so that's the excuse as to why the Smurfs collapsed right at the end of the season!!! I managed to take the league title clawing back since the Olympic's and with victory over the Smurfs last week.

You ended up second, with a bye for next week. So you've got time to find your password yet.
 
Well I'm out. The Iron Stoves were slain at the hands of the Icelandic heretics.

Semi finals, looking back at previous leagues, this is as far as I've got... I forgot that I'd finished second last year, so perhaps all this lucky talk I've been spouting wasn't so much. Still the team has been selected, the team talk has been Fergie like and none of them will be back if they fail me this time.
 
I've never finished higher than 3rd in the playoffs, always lost in the semis.
Hopefully that will change this year!
 
Whoever dropped Jeff Carter: thanks... minimum games played for points, if Malkin doesn't get fit I have some support.

I don't know If I stand a chance though

Your team is stacked and injuries to Carter and Booth have me really fecked. I'll be extremely lucky to pull out a win against but hey ho you never know lol.

Your welcome considering he's sidelined for 3-4 weeks. I hope he gets you plenty of points on the sidelines. Why else would I have fecking dropped him?

Yeah, but this team is now wearing Oilers silks, and we all know the Oilers have an uncanny knack of pulling defeat out of the jaws of victory.

We're both in the same position, never won a fantasy championship. I snuck in, only ever taking the lead on the Friday night. I wouldn't mind a win as my football team has stank all year no matter what I did to try and improve it. I've had a 12th and 5th in my other hockey leagues, so I've not done too bad this year.
