The season is not far away now.

Can we get enough folks together for a 12 man league on Yahoo this year?

Sure, why not.

But is this one of those leagues where there's a "live" fantasy draft? Sounds like a lot of fun and all, but I'll probably manage to miss it somehow and feck everything up.
 
Ive been utter shit with fantasy sport this year... since my football league screwed me over last year, i never play baseball, football this season is a dud, etc

So, count me in, need to get out of form... as for the draft, live draft can easily be done if we all agree on a time

Copied the settings from last year leagues, can be changed if anyone has an opinion on them.

Alright I've registered.

How do this thing work then? Do players get rewarded for points only in which case a defensive forward like Mike Richards wouldn't be a great choice? And do d-men get rewarded for PIMs?

Forwards/Defensemen Stat Categories: Goals (G), Assists (A), Plus/Minus (+/-), Penalty Minutes (PIM), Powerplay Points (PPP), Shorthanded Points (SHP), Shots on Goal (SOG), Faceoffs Won (FW)
Goaltenders Stat Categories: Games Started (GS), Wins (W), Goals Against Average (GAA), Save Percentage (SV%)


I've joined. Games Started for goalies seems a bit of an odd category if I'm being honest. Especially in a year where goalies are going to be rested more often because of the Olympics. Just my two cents though.

Yeah, the settings are the same as last year. Can be changed if we want.
Shutouts instead of GS?

I've PM'ed some of the guys from last season and some from the NHL thread to see if they're interested.

I hadn't registered till this morning, sorry!!

So that's now 8 teams is it?

I may well miss the draft, as I may well be out having dinner, or just blind drunk..... However, I promise to get my team up to scratch one way or another.
 
Well thank you Kristjan, apart from an email from one of my other hockey leagues reminding me of it's draft, you sort of reminded me to sort myself out and now that I've got my team back here, I've managed to get into my third league that I normally play.... So Thank you I'm back up to capacity.....

The NHL starts on 1. October, Thursday next week.
 
Ok, we're at 10 teams now which is ok but 12 would be better.

If any of you know anyone who might be interested in this feel free to point them in the right direction :)

I've not followed the NHL in at least 3-4 years.

Who does Mike Modano play for these days?

I take it that the draft order is randomized?

I'd hate to see this team magically land the first overall pick
