It is suprising how quickly people forget certain players - I know he has had injury issues but surely this guy is way ahead of some the players who have been picked so far, I give you ...

I have to admit I'm a big fan of Kaka, but I felt as if it had just been too long since he did the business so I opted for Sneijder. Then I didn't feel the need for another attacking central player so looked elsewhere.
Switched my mind between 10 different players but ultimately I decided on Bastian Schweinsteiger. A central midfielder who can pass,shoot and tackle plus he's german so all my penalties are sorted.
Would be a good idea to put this in opening post, so to keep track of what players have been chosen.

I passed on Kaka because of his injuries, assuming that some degree of current form was the prime variable.
Then why pick Rooney?
"Dip in form" and "injured and unavailable to play" aren't quite the same thing.

My second pick is a little bit harder but again, he is still available and you have to take the good ones while they are still available. This man in my mind was the best centre back of last year and the rock upon which a treble winning season was built.

There's a few attacking gems left that I'm desperate to get but sod it, my centre midfield needs adressing so I'm going for Andrea Pirlo

I was choosing between him and Rio for my CB - went with Rio for obvious reasons but it is a good choice !
Most important area of the pitch for me I think those three cover everything you need, all have a good range of passing, Fabregas and Gerrard are capeable or unlocking a defence, all are capeable of the spectacular and all of them work extremely hard for the team. No brainer for me
You have some decent parts in your side as well, I'd of probably taken a striker or another Centre-Back over Pirlo in that round. Not that Pirlo isn't a fantastic shout but I feel he would of still been available in a couple of rounds time.
He was my second choice after Rio at first but I was edging towards him by the time I had seen you got there first. Still. Ronaldo, Kaka and Ferdinand isn't a bad haul thus far for you.

Yes I do regret it slightly. Theres alot of strikers, wingers and centre-backs I would have down as better players but I was starting to worry who I would be left with if him and Alonso were to disappear. I still have a few striking options I would be happy with so hopefully there'll still be some left once it comes back to me if people start rushing for defenders!
Got my front mostly settled. Still plenty of midfielders and center-backs out there worth taking. Left-backs? Not so much.
