Fantasy Football 2017/18

Does Richarlison have the capacity to be this years Mahrez from two years ago? I have put him into my team instead of Mkhitaryan (also contemplated Ramsey) - now that some of the big guns are playing each other. Current midfield of D.Silva, Richarlison, Salah and Loftus, with 3M for future transfers when fixtures look better for the top teams.

Nice to see someone considering him a 3rd mid option. I thought of him initially as a really strong 4th mid but after watching him and Watford, if they can keep it up, why not?

Only problem is the festive fixtures coming up. That's where foreign players suffer in their first season. So Rich is still good for mid-term but may need to be offloaded around GW 16. And right before that week are home fixtures against United and Spurs..

On my watchlist nevertheless. Might transfer him in for Ramsey, who I've had since GW 5.

I think Richarlison is this years Josh King. Listed as a Midfielder but basically a striker, so you can potentially field 3-3-4. Marco Silva is a top manager too, even with Hull they played some decent football towards the end it was just too little to late.

Didn't catch too many games of Watford. But saw the Chelsea game. He looks like he can consistently get goals and assists from the way he plays. He always tries to take his man on. Gets into the box any chance he gets. Has enough skill to get past his man. Missed two sitters against Chelsea but still came up with a good assist. I just got him into my team last week.

Yep Richarlison was someone I constantly heard good things about, and had him 2 weeks now, for good points.
Doucoure plays deeper and isn't too far off in points for over a mill cheaper, but Richarlison is the man.

Awkardness this week is the Sterling/Jesus conundrum. The former played 120mins midweek so looks a risk. Aguero playing 120mins hopefully means Jesus Is more likely to play.

Will switch Jesus to Morata soon, but perhaps not this week.
May do Eriksen to Salah or someone this week.

I switched Lukaku out for Kane last weekend, which was my first "good" move i did in FF all season

Question now though, do I swap Kane out for Morata? (not sure how Morata's form is currently). I already have Jesus.

Captain Aguero, Jesus, Salah or Hazard?

My arm band is currently on Morata. Will watch the first half vs Watford to see if my hunch is justified. If not, then Salah.

Swapping out Kane is one thing I won't do in my sleep. Transfer out Jesus if you have to. Or that third forward (I'm assuming it's not Aguero). Heck, take a hit or something!

PS: there are rumours that Kane might be injured. Look for hints in the presser and.. keep him nevertheless.

Yeah, it's bloody expensive getting him back in the team

But Kane out Lukaku in if you're expecting a clean sheet for us tomorrow? :nervous:

Yes. Kane is out, it was just confirmed.

Great.. there goes my differential on Morata :/

Are we keeping or selling Harry? He might be rested against Palace as well if Poch thinks he can manage without him. Anybody thinking of having Aguero and Jesus?

Kane out is no good, but I can put Jones back in the team. Was benching him because of Kane, so easy math. Not expecting us to keep a clean sheet though, but didn't expect that at Anfield either.

However, let's discuss the bench boost and free hit. The free hit is basically a wild card for a specific round; should both of these be saved for the latter part of the season when there is double rounds? And then we use the triple captain whenever it seems smart in a single GW?

Free hit for that gw when nearly every team is playing in the fa cup and only 4-5 matches are being held.

Bench boost and TC for the double GWs

Lovely, that makes sense for the 4-5 games that we for example saw last season. Be lucky with a captain that week and one could see 40 points more than those not prepared.

Definitely tomorrow according to Poch, will assess before Madrid. There's a good chance imo that they will not risk him and will get him ready for the Arsenal match after the int'l break.
I think he'll be back for Madrid. It didn't look too serious.

There's some bloody 'expert' physio on twitter claiming Kane won't be back until after the International Break. Proper spanner in the works if thats true. Palace at home next week....

To sell or not to sell?

I wouldn't sell him even if that was the case. Will inevitably want him back and it would be a waste of FT. Unless of course, you're thinking of selling him for good.

Do we not get our wildcards, free hits and bench boost back in january?

Will probably switch Kane for Jesus.

Played my wildcard this week in order to reshuffle and make a few upgrades. I’m thinking of leaving Kane in though, since he’ll be too expensive to get back in the team in a few weeks.

I transferred Kane out for Lacazette and will reverse the move next week. Just leave some money in the bank. Kane could very well drop in price tonight so he will be cheaper.

I'm liking the look of my team, but still have quite a few changes to make to allow for Kane back asap. Means Lukaku and Valencia out so no United players : (, but when Pogba's back it'll free up some more cash again.

Defence has a tough gw.

The thought of having 12.7m in funds sat on the bench is a killer. Kane will also drop in price so could sell now and bring him back in 3 weeks for the Arsenal game, maybe for 12.5

My plan:- Kane ---> Morata or Vardy
which allows Fabregas ---> Salah.

Got 2 free transfers to use.

No transfers next week, use the 2 free transfers to bring Kane back and downgrade a midfielder for Richarlison.

Sometimes I get very frustrated by my poor decision making in fantasy football. Then I read that Pascal Gross benched himself before his 18 point haul last week!

This is a weird one though. And I am in the same conundrum.

I got Kane at 12.4. He is at 12.7 right now, so I would have to sell him at 12.5. And then, if I want, I will have to get him back at 12.6. I don't really see a point in this hassle, especially only for 1 GW. Any comments, fellas?

I did the Kane - Morata swap. Have 2.1 in the bank, so will bring him back when required. However, I would suggest to keep him if you can afford to looking at other long term investment.

Just keep him on and use your free transfers for improving other areas of your team. I think he might be back as soon as the Madrid game. So, you might end up paying more to get him back.
