Fantasy Football 2017/18

I loved having a United player in my team for the first time in ages (Lukaku) but sadly I think it's time to replace him with Aguero. Lukaku will drop another 0.1 in the coming days also and Aguero is on track to rise. Lukaku also has to face Spurs and Chelsea next and United are in a bit of a slump unfortunately with Lukaku getting little service.

I also have Jesus, but since Aguero is back, Jesus is not the main man and gets limited minutes so I'll transfer Jesus out.

I have 2 free transfers saved up, so if I swap Lukaku for Aguero and Jesus for Morata, I think I improve my team and save 0.4 in the bank also.

That leaves me with this front 3: Aguero - Kane - Morata
Same here, and I'll take a hit for it.

I'll wait for the midweek fixtures in case of Jesus though. Pep might start Kun midweek to get his record at home, and there's the Napoli fixture next midweek. So slight chance Jesus might start vs West Brom? Very difficult to tell with Pep tbh..

If you wait keep in mind that Lukaku will drop 0.1 and Aguero will rise 0.1 within the next couple of days, so a potential 0.2 swing.

I honestly think Aguero is the main man for Pep now and won't be benched/rotated as much as the others. If you look at Aguero's previous minutes, he played over 80mins in every game prior to his injury and was brought straight back in after injury with Jesus benched. I thought his injury would have been a good 'excuse' for Pep to give more minutes to Jesus, but Aguero was brought back immediately. Of course hard to guess when you add CL games into the mix, as he might be rested. Decisions decisions, but seems Aguero is still the fantasy football king.

Agree, he is (both main man and FF King). I'll probably replace Lukaku with Morata and then see. Jesus will probably deputise for both Aguero and Sane.

Kane, Salah and Ali all scoring, Kane and Ali with parting gifts with Sane and Aguero coming in

You're selling Kane for Aguero even though Pep could happily bench Aguero in any given game? That is not a move I would make.

Kane saving my gw. Tbf everyone in my league was doing terrible before today's games.

Got 2 frees for next gw. Think I'll start shifting United players so

Lukaku > Aguero
Mhki > Salah
Ritchie > Richarlison

Top 2 are definites and the last one is optional. I think all 3 could be season keepers barring injury.

Forgot about the Friday night game this week so was too late to change my side. Lucky really because i would have taken the captaincy off Kane and he saved me in the end. Annoyed to leaven Elliot on the bench but I won't complain with 58 points.

The biggest annoyance is Davies getting 0 the last 2 game weeks. Rose is now back so Spurs fullbacks aren't safe as there will now be a lot of rotation between Rose, Aurier, Trippier and Davies.

Davies to Monreal payed off
Captain Kane delivered in spades
Jumped up about 100 spots in the redcafe league to the 150s

Guys, Kane is injured. Everyone take him out, cheers
Did you switch Davies out for Otamendi ?

I had a pretty poor week, had Jones and Davies in defence. I've no idea what to do with my transfer now, I don't know what my biggest problem is.

I have Lukaku and Jesus, so could easily do a swap for Aguero and Morata...or a cheaper Vardy option and upgrade a midfield. But then I am also convinced that once Spurs and Chelsea are out of the way, Lukaku will grab some goals against Newcastle, Brighton and Watford.

Or do I sort out Jones and Davies? :wenger:

I think I need to get Otamendi in for Davies. His price is going to rise 0.1 today so I might be forced to do it now.
Partly to try and jinx City, but mainly because Spurs fullbacks can't be trusted, as 4 of them are now fit and in the mix (Rose, Aurier, Trippier and Davies)

Sounds like a similar situation to me with Jones, Davies, Lukaku and Jesus. I have 2 free transfers though.

I am thinking the following for a -4, and keeping the fingers crossed with Jones. I hate the thought of removing Lukaku though.
Jesus > Morata
Lukaku > Aguero
Davies > Otamendi

Exactly the same, I have 2 transfer as well. I was tempted by Otamendi before the weekend but that extra 0.1 is frustrating that I can't just do a straight swap.

Lukaku will probably drop by 0.1 tonight. So hurry up with your changes. I'm actually stuck with him for now. Want to bring in Aguero but already have 3 City players (Silva, Sterling and Sane). They are all in such good form that I don't want to take out anyone. And even if I did, there's no one great in the 8m range to bring in.

I've gone for a bit of a punt.

Jesus > Rashford
Lukaku > Aguero
Gamez > Otamendi

Keeping Davies and Jones for another week, will see how the injury is to Jones and if he is out for a few weeks i'll have £6.7m to bring in a replacement. Fingers crossed this works out.

Made the 3 changes last night before the price rise, and saved myself the 0.3 difference.

Current team

-----------Elliot / Foster
--- Ward - Otamendi - Jones
Richarlison - Salah - D.Silva - Ritchie
-----Aguero - Morata - Kane

(0.2 in the bank)

I get the feeling one of Jones or Davies will play. Keeping them and Jesus for now since I've used up my FT (Lukaku to Morata). Let's see what teams Spurs and City field in the Carabao.

Jones has travelled with the squad to Swansea which can only be a good sign for his injury. A spurs fan was telling me they think Rose will get a run out on Wednesday and expect Davies to play at the weekend. Would be the perfect scenario for me

FF aside, I hope José is not rushing him back. Given Phil's injury history, he'll be pushing his luck with even a slight risk. This is the time when we need to show faith in Lindelof.

But yes, Davies should play and get a goal assisted by Kane in a 2:1 win for United :)

Already have Silva, Otamendi and Sterling. Do I have to get Kun for a negative?
No need really. Aguero is likely to start but so is Sterling imo.

So, Aguero and Sterling played the full 120 minutes last night. Will they start against West Brom?

Have already used my FT and I wouldn't be taking a hit to replace Jesus with Aguero. Might do it next week..

I do think though that Pep operates on an entirely different wavelength from our perception. We take things from week to week, while he concentrates on match rhythm and plays a player till it's absolutely certain he needs a rest. This is why he started Sane last weekend even though Sane played 90 minutes vs Napoli, and for the same reason he'll probably start Aguero this weekend even after 120 minutes.

Just a theory though, and I'm not testing it for a hit!

Fecking Pep! The bane of FPL.

You would think Aguero playing 120 minutes means he won't start...but then Jesus also played nearly 90 mins. I honestly have no idea when it comes to Pep, but you need to have City players right now.

Read a crazy stat this morning. If you could have a team of all Man City players with Aguero (c) you would have 626pts and be ranked 16th in the world.

Hmm is that so strange? I would love to have a team full of players that win every week, but the budget dictates you to choose fodder from Crystal Palace, Newcastle and Southampton. Guess you would rack up good points with Man Utd and Spurs as well.
