Fantasy Football 2015/2016

Get in there Alderweireld! Shame he conceded a goal, but get in there!

And Kane! wow!

Probably should have tripled captain Aguero this week. Double game week is more safer, but such a performance today was expected.
I did so because there are no top point scoring players in the double game weeks that you think can guarantee a performance in both games.

Be glad you didn't. Losing six points from that penalty miss would have sucked.

Arsenal-West Brom has been rescheduled too. Serious player shortages for a lot of teams this week. I can only field 10 at very best with 4 points of transfers.

The double gameweeks have been announced - GW34 and GW37. There's also a partial GW35, just to make things even more confusing. Expect to see lots of WCs used in GW 33, followed by a bench boost in 34 for a team full of players playing twice.

Anyone else really struggling this week? With the double gameweeks announced for GW 34 and 37 it really makes it difficult to plan your team. On paper we have the best week 34 with two very winnable home games so I'm thinking about getting martial in, but our fixtures up until then are very difficult. Nobody has a good double gameweek and good fixtures up until that point, and I've wasted my wild card. I have ended up swapping costa and lingard for defoe and firmino, I will also be swapping my squad quite a bit in order to play bench boost in gw 34. Aguero captain this week against us :(

thinking wild card week 33, bench boost week 34, triple captain week 37.
difficult to plot the all out attack one, but probably have to be 36

This is my tactic too All out attack on the last day of the season. Always seems to be high scoring on final days

and also, the further away you leave your all out attack from your wildcard, the more you risk not actually having a decent 8 mid/attackers to field.

Thinking of triple captaining Lukuaku this week. He has two games against teams in the lower half.

Does anyone have a better idea of who else has double gameweeks coming up?

My wildcard is active this week otherwise I would be tempted to use triple captain on Lukaku this week. Mind you he hasn't been in the best form in recent weeks.

I'll be using my Triple Captain in the week 37 double, most probably on Lukaku or even Payet, form depending

I wanted to bring in Lukaku but bought in Barkley instead. Mainly because I don't want to get rid of Aguero or Kane and the other striker is Vardy, who the teams around me also have...

AOA is a useless chip. Doesn't matter when you use it or if you use it at all.

Get rid of Vardy. Lukaku has 4 games in the next 2 GWs. Vardy only has 2 games. Leicester are grinding out results anyway.

Good shout. If it doesnt work out, I have friends that can find out where you live!

Agreed. The only time I can see it remotely being useful is in a short game week where you need to stack players playing each other and can't bank on clean sheets. Even then it's a ball ache to unpick that the week after. To me, on the whole it's actually a negative.

Not really. There were times when all my strikers and midfielders were scoring points, and I had 15-20 point from them on the bench.

Of course I played the AOA when all my players gave shit points.

10th in my work league (we get quite competitive, and 52 or so in there, so over £500 prize pot), but only about 30 points off 3rd so the next weeks are critical.

Have a make or break final plan.

  • Week 33 - WILDCARD
Aim to bring in 15 players with a double game week in week 34, whilst keeping a very keen eye on Week 35, when some teams don't have a game.
This basically means not having more than 5 players from United/Everton/West Ham, which the essentials look to be Martial/Lukaku/Payet and probably best to have De Gea and say one other, maybe an Everton defender, or Barkley in there too. Palace keeper might be an option with 2 homes in 33, but with 2 aways in 34 v Arse and United, maybe not so decent. Similar with any other attackers...
Everton have a double game week 33 as well as 34, so Lukaku looks the best captain option. Both away games, but they're better away
  • Week 34- BENCH BOOST
If anyone has got injured/suspended, make a sub to ensure 15 double gamers. IN effect this gives you 30 scoring players! Imagine the power of that versus someone who hasn't done the same tactic, or doesn't have the same chip left. The theory is very exciting.
Arsenal, United or City debate for captain. Probably Sanchez v Martial v Aguero. Only problem with Aguero is the huge price, and that he's away twice, Chelsea and Newcastle fighting for survival. Would take a brave man to not have Aguero for a double game week tho...

  • Week 35 - Squeeze through
Hope to have got through 33 to 34 without an injury, so the possibility of having 2 transfers available here. If possible, just use 1 to ensure a full 11 out. Kane or Aguero here would be a great captain. Which is difficult as you might have to lose both for the earlier weeks...ideally 1 transfer could bring either in.

  • Week 36, All out attack option 1
  • Week 37 Triple captain. Tricky decision, as although Man Utd,Chelsea Pool all have doubles, each have a hard or away game. West Ham have 2 homes, although one is against United. But Payet looks a decent shout. The other game week (34) looks better for a triple captain, but with more fixtures, it has to be the better bench boost job, and also 37 is leaving it quite late for what will surely be a bigger overall total than the triple captain.
  • Week 38 All out attack option 2
Phew...it's all come down to it, and I've saved all these chips and wildcards, so time to see if this can come off and I can monster big ground!!

Sanchez in game week 34 is what I'm looking at.

depends if you still have your wildcard and bench boost.

if you don't have those, Sanchez 34 is as good as anything.
If you do have those, you'll surely get more points putting loads of double gamers in this week, and then bench boosting in 34

How have people approached this gameweek? I felt the need to get Lukaku in as Everton play twice both this and next gameweek and had to choose who to get rid of from Aguero and Kane. I stuck with Aguero because of his double gameweek coming up and ditched Kane. Was very tough to do what with the form Kane's been in. Hoping the gamble pays off.

Used my 2 free transfers. Dropped Vardy for Lukaku. Had to drop Sigurdsson for Barkley. The latter one was tough because Sig had been racking up the points for me but 2 chances at those 2 teams for an Everton team that only know how to attack was the better option.

It helped push toward next week too as Leicester and Swansea are only playing once so I could only carry 2 Leicester players into that week really (Mahrez and a defender). Now I'll line up as many double game players as possible and probably bench boost over triple captain.

Ozil out. He scored.
Sanchez in. He scored.
Payet out, got away without any damage...

fingers crossed for rest of wildcard coming off! Clearly Martial smashing a haul tomorrow, and De Gea keeping a clean sheet the key ones!

Left Cresswell on the bench with Monreal in the first XI.

And playing Lukaku as a triple captain this week. *fingers crossed*

Every time I put lukaku or Barkley in my team they do Jack Shit. Made lukaku captain and put in barkley this week... Better not let me down

You seem to know what you're doing. Where are you in the Redcafe league / overall rankings? I'm 9th / 24k - having an awful season!

the theory was amazing...in my big post above.

the actual results are incredibly bad!

Ozil scored, Vardy scored 2, Moreno, bloody Moreno (1 assist is it in 30 weeks only?), scores (!), Siggurdson scores.... 5 goals lost, for just Sanchez scoring.

De Bruyne and Coutinho benched. Safe Sakho (who I switched "under threat Moreno", rested). Cripes.

Took Kane out too..so I fear the worst there...

not sure If I actually joined Redcafe this season...but miles down, worst season in 7.

Please let De Gea and Martial rescue things...then roll on what should still be a good double game week with the bench boost!
