I'd have picked Lampard too, proven PL winner and a better scoring record.
Gerrard has the ability to get freekicks and penalties whenever he wants.

Am I cheating on our lovely club if I don't pick a United player, again?

I'll probably try to stick with United players as much as possible.
Good luck with that one,
You'll end up with liam miller as a 5th pick they way they are going.
I have my pick, just waiting for the time to tick down.
Worst thing would be Eric's Collar coming in last few minutes and choosing who I've got
I like my selection, I think he's been overlooked in a position which may be quite short of decent choices if people leave it too late.
We all know it's Gary Neville...
Damn, I was sure you were gonna choose Neville. Can't think of many decent right backs in the Premiership.
Irwin's a good choice though.
I came the conclusion there are slightly more decent right-backs then there are left-backs in Prem history. Even with Evra still as an option I'd have chosen Irwin purely because of the length of time he was in the Prem, what he won, etc...
I went for Tony Adams. One of my favourite non-United players, was a great defender back in the day.
Aw screw you guys Irwin and Adams were the secret picks I kept nattering on about (Bramble was a smokescreen!).
