Lads, just wanted to apologize about my post last night, was probably really stupid. I was kind of on a come down after tucking away a bottle of Gin the night before, yes a whole bottle, still suffering now to be honest.

So since, I love this forum and use it all the time, I just wanted to clear up that I have no inside info or any claim to know anything, I literally took a few rumors and got completely carried away.

So since I still want to post here and not get banned, I just wanted to say sorry guys, learnt my lesson. Wont happen again.

Lighten up, its no big deal. Its just that the way you posted about Kroos the 1st time seemed to be you pointing towards having inside info which is frowned upon here.

Cool, yeah I did seem so sure of it, even looking back now I read it and thought..."Jesus, get a grip" haha all fun ey.

This Serbian kid we are getting according to Blic, Arias and Cuadrado. That is 3 out of the Fantastic Five sorted. Delighted...

Caudrado would be an excellent utility player but he isnt first 11 quality.

Never heard of Caudrado before a cheeky google search. Doesn't seem to moisten the muppet-strings.

Yeah I apologized for all of it haha.

Also my prediction wasnt for the announcement it was for the deal to be done and the announcement to be just before the WC. But still.

Haha no worries. But it does mean you can now grab the popcorn and watch the show unfold!
;popcorngif;
:p

Aargh man. ;popcorngif; ended. ;)

@SolidState Please don't apologise, we are going to need your optimism come the summer, what with the Kroos/Carvalho/Shaw/Reus megathreads...

Also I hope I'm not the only one who every now and then reads your name as Solidmember.

Just wanted to try something but if we were to sell RvP and Hernandez this summer, how would people feel about making a bid for Romelu Lukaku?

Funny you mention that, I was thinking the very same thing and I cant think of a good reason why we wouldnt be interested. In fact I really like the idea. i do think hed need another striker of the ilk of Hernandez to back him up.

Can reus play in midfield. basically can he play in a set up that invoves kagawa and mata too or would he be used as one of the three behind rooney, something like reus mata kagawa?

He's a wide forward suiting a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 ideally, cutting in from the left.

So basically if Moyes stays he'll have to get used to playing wide left because Moyes will never drop Rooney or Van Persie. Mata and Reus: Becks and Giggs mk 2...

...can't see it.

Already posted in the Moyes thread but tonight he is at Benfica´s stadium watching the Portugal cup match between Benfica and Porto. Moyes, Chelsea scouts and Juventus scouts. Quite interesting.

Real inside info isn't frowned upon but it never is. It is always some bloke down the pub whose chiropodist is the third cousin of someone who knows someone who is dating Ryan Gigg's hairdresser.

Yep, having proper inside info would be great but its never the case.

Manchester United’s proposed deal for Cesc Fabregas could be back on after Barcelona reportedly told the player that they will listen to offers for him.

United made signing former Arsenal captain Fabregas their number one priority last summer, but despite making three different bids, Barca refused to sell.

The deal eventually collapsed and United have been looking elsewhere, but less than 12 months later, it could be back on with Barca said to be ready to part with the midfielder.

According to various reports in Spain, Fabregas has been told that he will be part of a squad clear out this summer – and if a suitable offer arrives he can leave.

Fabregas has failed to impress since re-joining boyhood club Barca, having found himself playing out of position on many occasions.

United are thought to value the Spain star at about £25million and could now make a new bid at the end of the season, in the hope he can fill their creative midfield void.

Imagine that, another full summer chasing Fabregas  the rage on these forums.

Fabregas is a good player but I'm not so sure on him anymore. He has had a poor season and we would have to change to a 4-3-3 to fit him in.

RVP
Reus -- Mata -><- Kagawa
Fabregas -- Carvalho
Coentrao -- Evans -- Jones -- Rafael
De Gea
Sheeez!

Cost: Reus: 40m
Fabregas: 40m
Carvalho: 28m
Coentrao: 12m

Total: 120m

I'd sign two midfielders and a left back at leave it at that. Fix the glaring deficiencies with the team and focus on getting those three signings right and fitting into the team rather than trying to bed 5 players into the first XI. No point ending up like Spurs with wholesale changes. Then we need to see how well Moyes is able to motivate the team and make the best out of what we've got.

Agree. The midfield and replacing evra are the huge things. Then if rio also leaves we can bring in a center back as a squad player/starter as we'd be short of numbers. Otherwise, we're fine. Hernandez will probably leave, but just promote Wilson. Young should leave, nani will probably leave, but we'd still have Valencia, januzaj, kagawa, mata, welbeck and sometimes Rooney for those 3 positions, and then lingard can get games too.
Basically, we need 3 or 4 players. 3 big signings and then the center back, anything more would be overkill.

Fabregas again? Really?

Didn't we put up with enough of this shit last summer? I know Moyes doesn't learn from his mistakes but come on.

Even a transfer ban doesn't stop transfer rumours.
