Lets just hope Chelsea dont try to swap Luiz for Fabregas. They could use him too

Leave that to me!

I wouldn't leave it to anyone else considering how much time you've invested into this one. I used to be top of the posting charts in here, so thank you for taking over.

I don't normally get too involved, but this year we definitely need to sort that midfield out, with Scholesy retiring and Rooney wanting away. If we don't I think we will have a tough season. This year, I have lots more time to fortify my muppet status, whereas last year there was a big event in London that kept me busy.

Yesterday's performance scared me.

We will sign Fellaini, Fabregas and Ronaldo for combined 120m

Sell Rooney for £40m to Chelsea

We will then with the PL, CL, World Cup and Olympic Gold

Barca bid for Luiz, in response we open talks with Everton about Fellaini to show Barca that Fabregas is not our only target. Barca accept next offer to fund Luiz transfer.

Could have meant anything; a private joke he's earlier shared with some journalists off the record maybe, where Moyes has shared soom more detailed info on the situation about what huge assholes Barca have been or God knows what. Bottom line: I wouldn't read too much into it.

You're doing it wrong.

I thought Moyes looked very relaxed when he uttered, "No you are right, I can't say anything about it".

He was smiling and did not seem unhappy. He didn't confirm it was over, because it isn't, in my opinion.

I am just waiting for the Barca smokescreen before there is a change, probably the signing of a defensive reinforcement.

You called Luiz literally minutes before it came out!

Can the thread title be edited to make it claer it was only Dani Alves saying this?

I didn't read / think propely and presumed the Alves in question was yet another of the various Barca mangement team who seem to be spouting endless soundbites throughout this process.

The fact it's just a team-mate takes the edge off slightly, as does the full quote without the very selective editing!:(

"happy for the match of today, gets me fit and ready for the #charityshield"

"erm, how do you delete tweets"

If he was about to be transfered he wouldn't want to be drawing unnecessary attention, tweeting etc. That's what Stu probably meant. But clutching at straws is also a good option.

Clutching at straws is the only option.
