Fabregas, Barcelona, & Badge Kissing.

He already is truly world class, he's going to look mint in a Barca strip next year.

Go through the posts on this thread, some serious underrating of the guys talent.

It's natural for a rival team Player in my opinion, ( we still have fans who struggle to praise Torres or Gerrard which is understandable )if he played for us he would have constant threads dedicated to his brilliance and every sentance would be covered in those drooling smileys.

He's such an incredible player but plays for a team I really can not stand . I'm happy he would go out of his way to partly amend this by joining Barca at the seasons end.

Do you thin he's gonna leave Arsenal after this season? I think they don't need him right now and staying at Arsenal is the better option for him and his development at the moment. Would be a also a massive loss for the Premier League.

The Barca director had even said that Fabregas is top priority for the summer. In my opinion they are going to break the bank and really push Arsenal all the way.

People go on about Barca being such a sweet loving club, we shall see how they deal with the Fabregas situation. The signs of arrogance have already been displayed. Madrid really pushed the level of absurd money being paid for stars this summer, who could have imagined Barca paying that much for Zlatan? I honestly see them breaking a record with Fabregas, please don't rule it out.

She's not ruling it out I don't think.. just merely stating that at the moment with Xavi/Iniesta.. there's not a role for him at the club. Once Xavi makes way, then clearly Fabregas would be a direct replacement.

True but I think they would just put Iniesta on the left, they can always interchange which is what Andres does anyway. When there is a will there is a way, and for a player as naturally gifted as Fabregas they would definitely find a way.

Who ever said Zlatan was needed for Barca? They are not afraid to get their Galactico on aswell. Barca have the chance to send the strongest message to
world football yet with the return of the prodigal son. The director goes to bed every night salivating at the prospect this summer, and Fabregas' astronomical form makes it more and more likely.

Yeah, you are right in that people - me included - overlook Barca's at times questionable transfers whilst fully concentrating on Real Madrid. The question remains though: Do they actually need him? I don't know the answer, I'm not following Spanish football closely enough. The fact they might break the bank for him doesn't mean much - Madrid broke the bank for many players this season without needing all of them. It's the principle of greed.

And when I ask the question of needing him, I'm not thinking about Barcelona but about Cesc. I'm sure Barcelona don't mind adding one of the best young midfielders to their squads, but will Cesc be happy if he doesn't get as much playing time as he wants? Particularly considering he's used to being the focal point and even captains Arsenal.

For me, if they are going to break the bank they really would have no choice but to play him. It's who their fans Would be dying to see, who the talk of the city would be about, you have to remember this comeback has been on the lips for many seasons now.

I wouldn't be surprised if the camp nou would be filled for his unveiling. Add that to the fact that he's world class I think it's a no brainer really. Barca would find a way

Messi spoke about knowing Fabregas would become a Barca player again at some point. And that seems to have sparked this ringing endorsement from Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood:

"If you want my opinion, I'm not sure he would even get in their team"

BBC Sport - Football - Fabregas will not join Barca in the summer, say Arsenal

 Whether it's true or not, fecks sake talk about kicking your own player in the bollocks! Stay with us mate, you're not good enough to play for them anyway...

Haha great quote. At least the guy is honest.

I don't see the point in Barca buying Fabregas now. Iniesta is better in midfield than on the wing. I think this season's league performance by Arsenal will convince Fabregas to stay put for a while yet.

:lol::lol:
Shame we couldn't use that on Ronaldo.

Can you imagine his response!?

Laporta's presidential candidacy ends in the summer - if I remember rightly - and he has apparently chosen Fabregas as his leaving present.

Whether he'll deliver, it remains to be seen.

The way Fabregas talked about his injury and how abruptly it ended his season, it almost sounded to me, that he was on his way.

In my opinion, those rumours will never go away until he has joined Barcelona.

I can imagine chubby old Hill-Wood having a little chuckle with the reporter while saying this, in reference to the evident gap between Barca and Arsenal at the moment.

But that's just me, apparently.

Everytime I start to think 'he's just a footballer after all', something like this gets posted to remind that he is first and foremost a twat,

Barca should be looking to groom Fabregas as Xavi's successor. Stay some more years at Arsenal, get the decade of service under your belt and then when Xavi is 34 and you're 26, entering your prime, you can come home to play with the big boys.

Barca get him when they need him, Fabregas will come into a team where he will be valued as more than just another player competing for a spot and Arsenal can't exactly complain as they still got ten years of service from him.

It's not his fault someone farted.

That is the FIFA world player of the year award in the background. I can picture it already:

"And ze winner is...."

[Ronaldo: "hehe. Another notch in the belt for the best thing since sliced bread: Me. God I love that word...]

"Messi!" (wild applause as the Argentinian humbly takes the stage)

Barcelona Rubbish Suggestions They Have Agreed Not To Bid For Arsenal's Cesc Fabregas

Barcelona Rubbish Suggestions They Have Agreed Not To Bid For Arsenal's Cesc Fabregas - Goal.com

Barcelona have rejected reports that they have reached an agreement with Arsenal not to bid for Gunners midfielder Cesc Fabregas this summer.

The 22-year-old, who learned his trade with the Catalan giants as a youngster, has long been touted as one of manager Pep Guardiola's top transfer targets. But on Wednesday Gunners chairman Peter Hill-Wood suggested the club had received "assurances" from the European champions that they would not bid for the Spaniard.

However, Barcelona technical secretary Txiki Begiristain has subsequently refuted Hill-Wood's claims, saying the club had only agreed to conduct any future business directly with the club.

"If Barcelona think that he is necessary for the team, they will go for him, always respecting negotiations," Beirgistain told Spanish daily AS.

"We have never said that we will not try to sign Cesc Fabregas. We will see what happens."

Fabregas is unlikely to play for the Gunners again this season, as he recovers from a leg fracture sustained when his club faced Barca in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final.

So it means indeed they are going to bid for him. Surprising, I guess not.

Bye Cesc. Just seen on SSN that he "thinks" he wants to join Barcelona but doesn't know if they want him. He said he wants his future sorting before the World Cup.

It does seem like he wants out.

Why else would he say that he wants his future resolved before the world cup? If he wanted to stay, there would be nothing to resolve as he has a good few years left on his current contract.

If you look at the original that's pretty clearly a response in general terms to a question about David Villa not himself. He basically said (as he has before) that he'd like to play for Barca one day but he's happy at Arsenal right now.

He won't go this season. May have if like Pool they had dropped out of CL. Arsenal are running out of time though.

I remember a lot of United fans (myself included) clutching at straws with responses like that about Ronaldo.
