Wouldn't surprise me if he's still at Monaco next season, amazingly it doesn't seem like anyone is really in for him
It's odd. He's arguably been one of the most important players in that very exciting Monaco side.

Jose might prefers Nainggolan who's more of a fighter and more aggressive. It has become a bit quiet regarding Fabinho, he might be checking his options or told clubs he's staying

Who would be the better signing, Fabinho or Nainggolan?
I can see how no Griezmann makes a 4-3-3 and Nainggolan more viable. Takes nothing away from Fabinho being the most blindingly obvious target for us out there. Before the Griezmann deal collapsed I would have preferred Fabinho but now I think Nainggolan would be a far better addition. The team desperately lacks goals and now needs more attacking quality in midfield.
I think the Griezmann u-turn will have huge implications for the summer targets. It's unlikely they will be able to get a similar player of the required quality so it could mean a complete change of plan.

I kind of disagree with that. In order to add goals we need to upgrade our front three and give more freedom to Pogba, Fabinho is in my opinion the answer for the latter, Nainggolan could be an updgrade on Herrera though.
As an aside, I wouldn't mind Bertrand Traoré as our right winger.
Only really the supposed ITK from Monaco, but the press have been quiet on every position apart from the strikers. I guess once that is tied up we will see movement on other deals.Has there been any solid credible sources linking us with this guy?

Whether it's the right decision or not, Pogba is being groomed to play a deeper role with less attacking freedom. If Griezmann had been signed Pogba most likely would have mainly played in the 2 of a 4-2-3-1. Now, I think it's more likely to be a 4-3-3 with Pogba being the second most offensive of the midfield 3.
I completely agree with that approach. The more advanced role Pogba has played at United the less impressed I've been with him.
Unless there is a huge upgrade in quality of the front 3 (and current indications are the quality is likely to go down), there just aren't enough goals in a Fabinho, Herrera, Pogba midfield 3.
We are not going to see eye to eye simply because it's obvious that our midfield input is fine, it could be better but it's fine particularly when you take into account the number of times Pogba hit the posts. Our goalscoring problems come from the attackers not the midfielders, so in my opinion we should improve the balance of our midfield with someone like Fabinho and take the logical decision to improve our goalscoring record by upgrading our attackers.
Well that is unless City are interested in Fabinho. One day they are. One day they aren'tJuve might get N'Zonzi, which would surely leave us open to get Fabinho.
Here, let me Google that for you.Did he play last night?
Quite fun that he asked if Pep signed Alexis to Barca a few hours ago. He didn't know how too google then!Wow, you're a true gentleman... But a simple "No" would've saved us both time![]()
I would prefer Matić, actually, a more seasoned footballer. Fabinho is more adequate to watch Pogba's back, though.Have we actually been linked with him or is this just a "would like to sign" thread? I know City have been linked.
I can see us signing Matic although I hope not.
There was a so-called Monaco ITK who linked him with us. Other than that I don't think there's been any news.Have we actually been linked with him or is this just a "would like to sign" thread? I know City have been linked.

Radja might or might not be using United to try and get new contract from Roma, but if there is a slight chance of him coming to OT, between him and Fabinho, which one would improve the team?
For me, even though the chance is slim but having Radja would increase the steel-iness and aggression of the midfield considerably I think, not to mention great engine. United have been craving for such player since Vidal "saga" () plus it would add different dimension to United's midfield squad - Pogba, Herrera, Carrick, Fellaini, Pereira.
If it is all up to me though, I would get both.![]()
They are different agreed, and IMO would be great paired rather than one for the other. Fabinho would be our #6 while Nainggolan #8.I'd rather have Fabinho. Naingoolan is 29, and would be a stop-gap. He's also a bit more B2B, where has Fabinho can play as an anchorman with great defensive nous, passing ability and physicality.
They have bought Teilemans and I think they are getting another midfielder too. They already have Moutinho. So we can't rule it out.If the rumours of Bakayoko to Chelsea are true, then I'd say this is dead in the water. I can't see Monaco selling two starting midfielders in one summer.
This is a signing that would excite me the most. Mouriniho will know all about him having given him his debut for Real Madrid.
His performances last season means he must surely be on his radar.
Isn't there a lot of talk of Psg signing Fabinho?, not going to get my hopes up with this one.
