Fabiano Ready To Move On

Excellent player. The only concern with him would be his mentality, but given we have more then a few Brazilians already I think United would be a perfect club for him...and yes, like others have said. Out and out striker.

Rather him then Huntelaar. Berba at Sevilla might be good too, except they play some counter attacking football and we all know how Berba is when it comes to running and doing the hard yards...

Is he too old? Don't think so. If we can get him at 20m at the most I say go for it. Great quality with some real Rooney like temper.

How many years left on his contract?

isnt he out of contract available on a free this summer?

edit..... re read the article, i mustve been more hungover then i thought this morning

Would love to see him come here this summer. Even at £15 million would be a bargain. Always seems to get goals for Seville and totally lethal for Brazil. Proper striker.

Wonder if there is some truth in this. Sure i've heard Fergie saying Brazil he thinks will win the World Cup and he is there main man and the guy who they will look to for the goals. Could say that means Fergie obviously rates him highly. Maybe why Fergie seems so happy today aswell hehe. Would have thought if we are getting him it will be wrapped up before the World Cup he is my prediction for the top goalscorer which would see a lot more interest in him.

Couldnt see Sevilla going with a swap as they play a very direct 442, get the ball down the wings and cross it into the 2 strikers.

Berbatov setting up camp outside the area wouldnt really fly with their tactics.

Fabiano isnt all that anyway.

I would look to do some sort of swap deal that involved Berbatov. Both are around similar age and Sevilla get something out of it and we get a striker who can score.

Unfortunately, I don't think that one is a goer, as Berbatov has been pretty vocal about wanting to stay. I don't think Seville would be what he would see as a suitable move away. Milan or Bayern maybe...

Anything in and around £15m would be a great deal imo. He is the sort of striker we need. Great movement and finishing and good in the air as well. Will score bucket loads here.
I'd love have this man, perfect foil our strikers. Rooney and him would be
Plus he can very well do the job until Macheda and Welbeck are developed.

I agree. He would make a good partnership with Wayne.

He might be good but he is already 29 and when the season starts he will be nearing 30. I dont think its worth it to spend 15M on a 29-30 year old who is possibly going to be good for only another couple of years. Instead we could pay a little more and invest in a youngster.

Milan is a more realistic option for him. He'd fit in better with their Brazilian contingent. Plus his style would be more suited towards Italy.

There has to be a few transfers where we don't invest in youth. Otherwise it's just doing what Wenger does

I don't understand this age concern. We cannot always be looking for the youngest players with the best potential because there are just too many out there with that kind of reputation to be able to buy them all. What we need is not another talent because the team is fully packed with it already, and players like Evra, Vidic, Rio,VDS, Berbs, Rooney are not looking to grow older as the team is fecking developing when we're in this kind of peak! There are some holes that need to be filled and we need them filled TODAY - not in 8 years time. So please accept that some players are brought in to deliver on the day and not to be around for another 20 years ala Giggs, because they could might as well feck off to Madrid the day they get any good.

There there!

People really need to get a grip. Think about the present and what is best for you now and not what will help you better in future for all we know they might just not make it or feck off to spain.

Good shout,Brwned will disagree though.

I've already got a 5er on him at 16/1.

He is about play in the world cup as the main striker for Brazil, that will do for me.In my opinion he will be a huge improvement on what we have here bar Rooney.

Good enough in what way? You seem to be missing the point, because I wasn't saying he wasn't good enough for us...

Hes a confusing player! Great for Brasil but so-so for Sevilla. He doesnt look hungry and most the time looks uninterested but something clicks for him with Brasil. Hes there best attacking player most of the time.

He's good for both. 72 goals over the past three seasons at Sevilla.

Signing Fabiano allows other young United strikers to stay put & develop, no?

I'd say so. An experienced striker who actually scores goals. He'd fit in well with the likes of Nani and Valencia's crosses.

If we don't get rid of either Berbs or Owen... I don't see how all these striker's will actually fit. Rooney, Owen, Berbs, Chicharito, Macheda, Diouf , Welbeck... See where I'm heading to.... Only Berbs or Owen are old the rest are young talent... so I mean we do have plenty of strikers and we usually play 1 striker against a big team... so I'd rather we sign a new MF then splash on another striker. Unless Berbs leave... I don't want a new striker at the moment. SAF has stated that he will keep berbs and possibly Owen so I doubt we will be signing any more strikers.

How?

Fabiano would be scoring enough goals to keep his place in the side alongside Rooney for a lot of the season. Berbatov would be rotated in. Owen for cup games and when we need goals off the bench?

How are the likes of Macheda going to get enough games to really develop in that situation? He'd have to go on loan for next season. Then when he comes back what happens? Because he's unlikely to want to go out on loan every season.

Diouf, Welbeck and Kiko are not even close to being ready yet. I would send at least 2 of the 3 out on loan. Hernandez is still an unknown in Europe, Berba isn't an out and out goalscorer, and Owen is injury prone.

If we can get Fabiano for a decent price we should. He's already indicated he likes our style of play and the one thing he knows how to do well is score goals. I'd rather have a pacy, out and out striker then someone like Huntelaar who's slow and is probably bound to flop under the weight of expectations.

See Devilton.

New target for your verbose?

I think he should come back to Porto and prove that he can cut it here.

Sevilla striker Luis Fabiano has admitted he is likely to leave the club this summer.

The Brazilian's future has been the subject of speculation for some time and he has regularly been linked with a switch to England.

After being an unused substitute in Saturday's 3-2 victory over Almeria as Sevilla secured UEFA Champions League qualification, Fabiano will now have time to ponder what to do when the transfer window opens.

With just a year remaining on his current deal, the 29-year-old expects Sevilla to be open to the idea of letting him go.

Reports suggest the Primera Liga club will want around 20million euros (£17million) and Fabiano believes there is a good chance he will move on.

"My exit is very probable because the deal is finishing," he told Sport TV in Brazil.

"If Sevilla want a sale there will not be any problems. Right now I do not believe it is possible to sign another deal."

Fabiano's immediate focus will be the World Cup after being selected in the provisional squad.

"I am very happy with the call from Dunga for the World Cup," he added.

He'd be good for us for the right price, although i doubt we'll buy a striker without first moving one out. Owen will definitely be back next year.

well hopefully we will be shiping a certain flop out if somebody will buy him
