Hey there Malteser, how's it going?

From the little I've seen of the lad he's certainly got something...at ease going past players, can use either foot, good shot on him, tough in the tackle when required, levelheaded....I sometimes get an image of Rocastle when I've seen him play. IF and, it's a huge IF, the likes of MU and Arse are looking at him he's got to be special.

We've got a few good youngsters at the moment apart from Delph...Howson, Parker and White to name 3.

Im fine mate and you?

From what you've said he seem to be a great talent. I hope that he remains at Leeds for some more time though. It will only help him to become better. I hope that Leeds will manage to return to their former glory. I miss the rivalry between you and us.

In the theme of posting United transfer target's bebo pages:

http://www.bebo.com/Profile.jsp?MemberId=6687497525

He thinks of himself as a defender/midfielder according to his page. Also says: "Just like to thank all my fans for support. And im getting some mighty fine female attention aswel lads. Peace out!"

God sometimes I'm ashamed to have a bebo..look at those comments, every last one is retarded.

Nice to see the lad included in the Under21 squad for the first time.

Fabian Delph £10m say the Sun

By PAT SHEEHAN

"ALEX FERGUSON has offered Leeds a package worth up to £10million for teenage midfield star Fabian Delph.

Manchester United boss Fergie made his move after Fulham steamed in with a £6m bid for the 19-year-old sensation, who is being tipped as the new Paul Scholes.

Delph is a combative midfielder with an eye for goal like Scholes.

He has been a regular in the Leeds side this term after captaining the reserves.

United were alerted after Fulham scouts again checked on Delph as the England Under-19 international scored for Leeds in Sunday’s 3-1 victory over Stockport at Edgeley Park.

Fergie has matched the Fulham offer of £6m up front — but has added extra incentives related to appearances and trophies that would push the deal close to £10m.

And the Old Trafford boss has also told Leeds they can take two of his own promising youngsters on loan as they bid to get their League One promotion train rolling again.

He is prepared to let midfielders Darron Gibson and Rodrigo Possebon switch temporarily to Elland Road.

Gibson, 21, has already gained three caps for the Republic of Ireland and made seven senior appearances in the Carling Cup.

Possebon, 19, figures in United’s long-term plans but Fergie wants to give him more experience now he has regained full fitness.

He escaped serious injury in his first senior start for United in September last year when Middlesbrough defender Emanuel Pogatetz was sent off for a horror tackle that left the Brazilian needing oxygen on the pitch."

What do you lot reckon.....has anyone actually seen him play? I saw him briefly in the u21's, and he did alright.

I saw him in their FA Cup loss.

Wasn't particularly impressive, and I was watching the match solely to see him - although it was an added bonus that they lost no doubt.

Never trust the Sun.

Oh and Saying we're going to buy him for £10m sounds a bit too sensationalist, it does say '...up to £10m'.

Saw some highlights of a match where he scored 2 goals a few months ago. Set up the first with a cross with his right foot, then scored two belters from outside the box with his left. Looked to have a brilliant long shot on him but must have a lot more than that if he's going to cost £10 million for someone...

whatever I don't like the idea of Possebon leaving even on loan...sure he will have roles in the Cup games.

whenever I think of him I seem to remember Falcao of Brazil in 82.....

Possebons not fit to lick Falcaos boots. Possebon will never be a really top player. He has no hunger for the game.

The more young players the better in my opinion. I have only seen him once and I was not that impressed. I need to watch him a few more times.

I cannot imagine Possebon going to Leeds on loan. Surely he is too good for Division one. I could be a good move for Gibson to go on loan there. If United to sign Delph and Tosic, his chances will be really limited, more so than they are now.

It would be terrible move for Gibson. He played in the Champioship last year so there's no way he'd be going lower than that, not when he's playing regularly for Ireland for Gods sake. The mere suggestion of it makes the whole article sound like bollocks. Having said that, a taste of the rough and tumble in League 1 would not be a bad thing for Possebon. He'd quicky lose the Sideshow Bob hairstyle and get toughened up.

I thought by taking a youngster we would let them have Sam Hewson or Corry Evans. No way Gibson and Possebon, both of whom are at least Championship level, would be shipped off to Leeds. And 6m up front for this unproven lad, who plays in pretty much the same position as Anderson and Possebon, sounds like tosh.

We have too many young midfielders.. unless he is an exceptional talent..

I remember a few years ago The sun published a picture with Ronaldinho in United shirt...but a few days ago he sign for Barca...

Would be a positive step back towards to the top for Leeds if they become our feeder club again

He´s a central midfielder? Last time he was linked with a move to United I seem to remember them talking about him as a left winger.

He can play both, I think.

I watched their game in the FA Cup first round against some other classless team. He was easily the best player on the pitch that day, but I doubt he's good enough for us to pay 6 million.

I would take him at that price reckon he becomes a star

Are you alright? How can you just say that he has no hunger for the game?

Oh dear, How in feck did you you came up with this ?

Nothing wrong with a player dropping to league one IMO. It either works for them or it doesnt. Start the deal off with a 1 or 2 month loan and if its working extend it if not bring the lad back. nothing ventured nothing gained.

I think it's a harsh statement to make - but I can see his point. Rodrigo hasn't been anywhere near his performances last season for the reserves.

Last season I thought Rodrigo was destined for greatness - this season he doesn't even deserve a starting place for the reserves. He simply needs to improve a lot if he is gonna have a career here

The more young players the better in my opinion.

I remember a few years back when Newcastle were buying all the young players who were considered top talents back then (Jenas, Milner and such) while we were getting Djemba and Bellion. The place was mental.

Gibson was not great for Wolves last season. He did ok but he was certainly not first choice at all times. Dropping a league could do him the world of good. 20-25 first team competitive matches in a few months cannot do him any harm.

And most people, not all, would admit that he has been poor for Ireland and should not be playing regularly. And he has only started the last 2 or 3 matches for Ireland which you could argue isn't exactly playing regularly either.

Possebon is too good for that level. He has more potential than Gibson in my opinion.

The thing was that Jenas and Milner were considered good young players. Djemba Djemba was somewhat of an unknown quantity coming from the French league and anyone watching Sunderland could tell that Bellion was terrible. I was shocked when we were linked with him and nearly fainted when we bought him.

I don't know how good Delph is but if he has the potential that everybody seems to think he does, then there is a great chance he could become a very good player.

Oh who better than to ask than you? Ok now in your opinion... Which is his best position? and why?

Also since being the Active admin and all pls could you just join the other thread to this one or the other way around?

He seems comfortable roaming around midfield....saw him score cracking long range goals v Walsall....one with his left and then one with his right....I think he favours his left.

Classy player but still has a lot to learn.

Ambidextrous? Nice...

Thanks on joining the threads.. 2 separate conversations would have gone on for long had you not put them together...
