Banged two in today for Leeds and has been suoerb all season so i have been informed.

Anybody else know much about the kid, i actually heard he was poached from Bradford but that has not been confrimed.

Anyone?

Me mate here reckons its between Bolton and Sunderland and another team for his signatue...

Started at his hometown club, Bradford City but saw sense when he was 12 and joined Leeds. Great prospect.......got 2 cracking goals today.

Everyone can feck off as he's going nowhere.

Let's be honest Marching, he'd probably rather drown in Iodine than stay at Bellend Road for any longer, in spite of what he may tell the fans and media.

In all seriousness, is this lad an actual footballer as opposed to the rest of the invalids in the Leeds squad?

A mate, who I have since dismissed as a mental patient, has been singing his praises for a while now and it's been getting slightly irritating. It leads me to believe that Leeds may have someone reasonable at football on their hands.

Watched him play against Cheltenham on Saturday and he had a quiet game, great technique but still a lot of work before he is premiership class.Great name though, should add a few million to his value.

How did you think Leeds played? Impressed by the turnout of fans from Leeds?

I thought Leeds played well in the first half Marching but faded in the second, obviously a class above Cheltenham but you were under a bit of pressure towards the end of the game. You had a good turnout from your fans and i have to say they were a real well behaved good humoured bunch,we were walking home and got caught up with a few Leeds boys and they were having a bit of banter and joking around with my lad, then i told them we were Man Utd fans and we had a bit of banter with them about that.Credit to your team to be honest mate,i have heard a lot of bad press over the years about Leeds fans but they seemed a good bunch of lads.

It's always good to hear from opposition fans that were actually there so cheers for that. We do definately have some nutters that follow the club but overall our fans are a credit to the game and regularly give away teams their highest crowd of the season. I think it is helped by having a large southern based network of supporters clubs.

With the income the club generates from crowds averaging 20 odd thousand compared to the minnows in the division we should be getting out of this division this season...anything else would be a disgrace.

KingEric7 will be along shortly with some more of his bad press ;)

This is why the signing of Federico Macheda was a stroke of sheer genius.

He can't fail to be worth anything under £20 million with a name like that, no matter how shite or decent he may turn out to be.

Recent comment from Ken Bates on the Delph rumours....

"I'm still amazed at a recent offer Newcastle made for Fabian. I won't tell you the content of the fax we sent back but it did end the conversation."

Ken Bates :wenger:

Thats probably because the end of their fax said "None of this £6M is going to you Mr. Bates"

United swoop for £5m Delph

LEEDS' midfielder Fabian Delph is off to Manchester United in January.

The left-sided star, 18, has been watched by the Reds for months and a fee of close to £5million has been agreed.

After missing out on Theo Walcott and Aaron Ramsey, Old Trafford boss Alex Ferguson has moved quickly to seal the deal.

Delph has played just 21 first-team games for Leeds, who have already snubbed a bid from Newcastle.

And a United insider said: “It’s as certain as it gets that Fabian will be a Red in January. It’s a done deal.”

I read that as "Man Utd swoop for £5 million Delap" when I first saw the headline:annoyed:

Would not be surprised if Sun created that story based on this thread.

I wonder who the "United insider" is. I remember when they talked about a Tottenham insider and it ended up being a janitor at WHL.

And as for Delph going to MU...There is no question he is going to be too good for the lower divisions but I'd be disappointed if he moved so soon as we'd like to see more of the lad and going to the premiership in January will just mean he gets dumped in the reserves for a couple of seasons.

Do you think he has what it takes to make it at the highest levels?

Hey there Malteser, how's it going?

From the little I've seen of the lad he's certainly got something...at ease going past players, can use either foot, good shot on him, tough in the tackle when required, levelheaded....I sometimes get an image of Rocastle when I've seen him play. IF and, it's a huge IF, the likes of MU and Arse are looking at him he's got to be special.

We've got a few good youngsters at the moment apart from Delph...Howson, Parker and White to name 3.

He could be the first elf to play for United. If he does come here, he should be very proud of his elf.

Time to update that Feeder club t-shirt that has some gaps?
