FA Youth Cup

think I will go Old Trafford for the second leg can not be bothered with streams again and a ticket is only about the cost of MUTV for a month.

What is the date of the 2nd leg? Want to make the trip providing it doesn't clash with exams...

It's on Tuesday, mate.

Edit; by which I mean Monday, obviously.

Is it a sell out?
the official site is showing just a few seats still available
70k for a youth cup game will be mental.. surely there is some mistake

I doubt all the stands will be open, so it may be limited to around 40000 at most. Which will be nice for the lads.

yeah he did and that was well done by Sir Alex. Todays a closer look at the future and it must have been a big boost to the kids, hearing it mentioned like that.

I'm going and really looking forward to it. Will keep my mind off Saturday

Sheffield United have been giving their tickets away, they had 24k for the home leg by all accounts

Anybody from here going? Really looking forward to it, although conditions might be tricky as very windy in Mcr and intermittent heavy showers.

Can't make it due to work but my son and a whole bunch of mates are going.I'll simply have to watch a stream

I still think they should let kids in for free. Would be a good gesture and try and get as big a crowd in as possible.

kids and season ticket holders should be free. Should also get a ticket to the FAYC game free with the Gary Neville Testimonial ticket imo.

IMO, the club should do a lot more to get bigger crowds at reserve and youth team games - even if it means giving tickets away for free. They can't make much money from the youth/reserve games so they could use it (from a business perspective) to hook groups of fans. Attendance at youth/reserve games should help out in terms of getting tickets for first team games.

Agree with all of that. From a personal view the 7pm kick-offs prevent me from going to too many reserve games due to work. They are also poorly advertised on the website/e-mails.

Well I'd like to go and was planning to but there doesn't seem to be any availability?

Can pay on the gate at all Stretford End Lower entrances (W10-W14).

Agree with what everyone's saying, the club have missed a trick here. Free tickets for schools and/or with testimonial tickets wouldn't have lost them anything (you'd think more people in the ground would mean more merch/kiosk sales too), so hard to see why they haven't done it. That's before you consider the advantage of having a bigger crowd in the support the team, and the bigger picture of engaging with the next generation of potential Reds, something that is ever more important with City's progress and the ageing fanbase at OT. Really disappointing.

Looking forward to this. This lot are the best Academy side in the business, and our best since at least the 2003 one (Richardson, Jones, Bardsley, McShane, Ebanks-Blake). But they need to turn up on the day, against a side and a set of fans who will be desperate to get a win against the odds.

This is also live on the FA's website tonight.. But if the qualities as poor as it was when I watched an U21 game on there a while ago, I'd give it a miss and stick with a stream.

Nah, keep it in here so it doesn't attract all the matchday doom mongering pillocks.

Hopefully it's as good a game as the first leg and all the players do themselves justice. Winning isn't everything, the youth team with Scholes, Becks et al lost to Leeds if you remember!

namely? A PM would be most appreciated. thanking you

Will do if I make it home. Dublin is broken transport wise. Check the forum off myp2p under the United section, they may even have a dedicated thread for tonights match.

Agree completely, we're due a bit of luck, alot of parking the bus in recent years in the youth cup. Very worrying tactics at that age imo

I think we're going to win comfortably. Can't wait

Johnstone; M.Keane, McGinty, Thorpe, Fornasier; Tunnicliffe, Lingard, Pogba, W.Keane, Morrison, van Velzen.

is what I've heard on ye olde Twitter.

No need to register to the FA website. Although I don't think the quality will be any good, i'd stick with an MUTV stream if I were you.
