Referee's a bit of a homer
 
Is it me, or was that sub already in place before Van Velzen's knovk?
 
Who is this referee and why is he familiar? I think he's been decent tonight but I can't help but think it might be the guy from Anfield?
 
Oliver had a bit of a mare at The Emirates at the weekend....much to the annoyance of Arsenal fans :lol:

2-2 FT. Fantastic game. Sheffield United will have to pull of something special to beat us at OT, mind.
 
Great game, SU rallied well and the goal before half time made the difference. A few United players will be disappointed with how they played 2nd half as they got outworked by a committed SU.

Pogba showed a few great flashes, but as always, he didn't really show when we were getting overrun in the middle. Disappointingly Tunnicliffe went missing 2nd half too and we struggled from a lack of width at times.

Yep I noticed that too with Pogba. He gets a little bit frustrated and his impact on the game seems to fade as a result. He's incredibly talented so once he matures mentally I can see him turning into a great player.

Thought W.Keane and Morrrison were our standout players, they're both extremely comfortable with the ball at their feet which really stands out at this level. Think Lingaard is an interesting player too, doesn't get that many plaudits but he quietly goes about his business and is calm on the ball.
 
Yep great game and great advert for youth football in this country. Fair play to Sheffield they looked out of it in the first half but they played till the very end. Some good performances but I wish United would play with more width. We really should win at OT comfortably.
 
Can't help thinking Cole would have made the difference tonight. Anyone know if he might be back for the second leg?
 
away from home we played well. Some good player, sloppy at times. If we score early at home, we'll win I think. Sheffield United created some good chances, I think they played well enough but at home we'll be more solid.

I'm not sure with Pogba if he lacks a bit of stamina, I seem to remember something in an article in that it is something they are looking to work on with him.

I was a little disappointed in W Keane too, his hold up play was decent but unlike him, he made a few poor decisions around the penalty area. His brother had his best game in quite a while though and gave us a great outlet on the right.
