FA Premier League - 08/03/25 to 10/03/25

That was a clear pen for Brentford. The ball hadnt even gone out.. how did VAR look at that and let it go?

We’ve gone from VAR overriding the ref for ridiculous minor things that no one saw, noticed or appealed for, to VAR not overriding clear fouls (accidental is irrelevant) because they hide behind “refs onfield call”.

Howard Webbs management finding new ways to be shite.

The ref + VAR in the Brentford game are def on the take.. This one wasnt a clear pen, but the first one was so clear

We're so lucky that Southampton, Ipswich and Leicester are the three most pathetic PL teams ever

This is what happens when you let clowns run the circus.

VAR guys shouldn't be current match officials who are on VAR for each other every other week. They're too afraid of upsetting their mates.

Should be some kind of independent regulated body

The atmosphere for Saturday night games always feels a bit odd, as though people are not quite sure why they are there on a Saturday night.

Feels like so long since there was a proper relegation battle and it’s very rare these days. Back in the Wigan / Portsmouth days there were constantly crazy relegation scraps year after year. Great escapes, 5 teams all fighting on the last day, teams who had spent all season outside the bottom 3 going down etc.

Premier league in the Barclays era was so good though, it's nowhere near that now.

We just lack that tiny bit of quality at the moment to make the difference between being near the bottom and being top half with Moyes. Hopefully a good summer window can fix that.

Palmer should have had a penalty there.

If that’s Liverpool it’s a penalty.

Sancho played for it but the defender literally stamps on his foot, its a pen.
