F1 2022 Season

Max haters need to realise that if he reduces his whinging by even an ounce he would use the spare energy on becoming even more dominant. Be careful what you wish for.

No, it's just the third thing I associate with Hamilton when he whines on the radio, after 'I have no grip' and 'feck sake why did/didn't we pit Bono'.

with tyres he’s annoying as feck, with strategy, he’s usually right.

Almost always.

They all do it as you said, it's just only certain get broadcast. Do wonder what they base selection on, interesting points? Key messages? Maybe some biases?

Look there’s clear science behind why Max whinging and Hamilton whinging isn’t the same thing and that’s that British people think it’s ok to whinge when it’s in their accent.

Is Lewis the only driver still wearing a mask for interviews? I know he's talked about how rough Covid was for him and wanting to avoid catching it again.

?

He would lose few more seconds after that pitstop if the Safety Car didn't happen(if his pit stop was during the regular race, because he was planning to go for pit stop in next few laps anyway), it's obvious.

He didn't pit for ages. Why do you think he was about to pit?
He was making up time because the mediums were falling off. The first SC meant everyone else got a free pit stop and fecked him.

Mercedes seem proper fecked, 30 seconds off the front runners and that's with a safety car, don't think this floor upgrade is going to be enough.

I am not talking about first SC.

Yes. They were. They said Hamilton being unlucky with the second evened out from being lucky from the first.

No, you didn't understand. He was supposed to be lucky with the second SC but not being able to enter the pit was at the same time unlucky for him.

First SC is basically irrelevant in this discussion.

Thank you, thought that was the case but couldn't be bothered going back and searching

What's a likely punishment for Sainz, Perez and KMag? 5 seconds, with won't alter the scoreboard, and a fine? Or steeper?

Max and Charles did good to give us a exciting race on that track. I hope DRS is done away with as soon as possible though, it's a bit of a mess when people are actively trying not to be first because us of it (they both did it because given the rules it's the smart thing to do, so I don't blame either, the rules need changing though).

They should modify it slightly. I'd make it so drivers can only use DRS on say 5 laps at any point in the grand Prix they choose. The undercut with an DRS out lap will make for great racing. Not letting the other driver pass so you can get him back.

The VFL did for Leclerc yeah. He's much quicker in the first sector so that combined with DRS, I reckon he would have taken the place back.

Yeah so unlucky. Very timely interference for Max. Enjoyable race though. Shaping up to be a fantastic back and forth.

punish their teammates imo. something like a drop of 1 position. so, no one wins the race, max goes second, charles third, mick has to start 21st in the next race.

Amazing ending that. Really enjoyed this race in general but the fight between leclerc and verstappen is getting brilliant.

Not sure how Verstappen managed to close up to Leclerc so much under the virtual safety car, that seemed a bit fishy.

Anyway, if we get racing like this all year we will all be very happy.

Lando managing to get 7th is a great sign for Mclaren, shame he couldn't pip Ocon right at the end there.

He was whining about Leclerc doing that to him later on. Utterly shameless this guy

Childish behavior, get over it buddy. When we summarize his career in 10-15 years, will you still be sitting there and screaming «but but but» to everyone? Verstappen was lucky on that day, he was very unlucky elsewhere and deservedly won the whole thing.
Deservedly!

He deserved to be 2nd last season, until Uncle Masi intervened.

He got a good win today, no doubt he is a good driver, but not a worthy champion, yet!

Surprising to see that Hamilton was 2nd in the speed trap behind Verstappen, just 2 km/h between them.

In Bahrain Hamilton was 15th in the speed trap, 8 km/h behind Perez on the first.

I must not be understanding you or I wasn’t fully paying attention. As far as I remember his pit stop happened under full racing conditions. The VSC ended before he pitted.

Now I am confused, I would bet he pitted during the SC, but I am not sure now.
