So far they are well off the pace compared to the Mercs.
Looking like a possibly Mercedes 1-2 at the moment. Also doesn't help that it seem LeClerc has managed to damage his car slightly
What a lap by bottas 
Merc one two, yet again and Bottas looks way faster than Lewis.
6/10ths is a huge gap to make up.

Ferrari is never getting close to them this weekend. Looks like another repeat of Australian GP . Getting annoying how Ferrari is run. When the track suits them, they got their strategy wrong.
Bottas is making a statement this season.
Big difference in times for Bottas pole lap. Doesn't bode well for the race. Going to have to hope the Mercedes at least fight between then, and we get a battle for third
It’s amazing how well Mercedes hid their pace in winter testing. Every expert had Ferrari down as way ahead. I think currently Mercedes is just a better run team that make better decisions. That’s something that doesn’t go away with just throwing money at it (as in case with Utd).
This season seems quite over for Ferrari already.
Also, great to see Bottas challenge Hamilton. Hamilton has shown a few cracks this season.

Bottas is here to stay it seems, he's a Finn after all. And it's early doors yet but it doesn't seem like he needs to expand as much mental and emotional energy as Nico did in '16.
How 'every expert' falls for it every year is unreal.
Hamilton really doesn’t seem that arsed this season, his demeanour has been odd. Fair fecks to Bottas though, he could easily win the title on this form.
Think Merc have pissed Hamilton off by taking his No. 2 engineer and giving him to Bottas. He’s bit of a precious flower but small stuff like that rattles him.
Car doesn’t look underneath him either, be interesting to see if that continues.

Why should they show their pace in winter testing ?
If I was in charge I would do the same , the first time you should see how good a car is in in Q3 of the first race of the season.
Some may call in sandbagging , I just see it has being careful, dont show your hand until you really have to.

I’m not saying they shouldn’t. I’m appreciating what a good job they did of it. This is after every year them doing it. And yet most conversations I saw took this in to account and still had Ferrari on top. Like I said, Mercedes are a better team, just seem to have every aspect in control.
I don't think they hid their pace, everyone agreed and continue to agree that Ferrari had the best car at that time. Since then Mercedes have continued to improve, and have overtaken Ferrari in performance and reliability.
Ferrari are rattled and have brought a new engine 2 races earlier than planned and look even further behind. Mercedes are untouchable currently and I can't see that changing anytime soon.

Because its different Hamilton by the looks of it so far.
Hamilton looked all over the place in Q3, his qualifying's been a bit below par all year but today must be a concern for him given how strong he's been here in recent years. Hopefully he'll at least see Bottas as a serious threat now if he didn't already.
It would be great if Bottas can put up a challenge this season.

Stopped watching after last season. So boring. Just a question of which Mercedes will win and which Ferrari driver will finish on the podium. And occasionally Verstappen pulls a rabbit from his helmet and finishes third. And with the cars being so wide overtaking is way too hard. Not enough proper racing involved anymore.
It does seem like 2021 regulations are needed.
