F1 2018 Season

Yeah the season so far has been crazy for Ferrari with their constant feck ups and Vettel making silly mistakes. They have the better car and should have been in a much better place if they could stop shooting themselves in the foot.
Fully agree. We won't get better chance to win the title than this season.

Wolff on the Vettel/Bottas incident: "We saw something like that earlier this season with Kimi & Lewis at Silverstone and with Sebastian & Valtteri at Paul Ricard. Now it was the other way round. Business as usual."

So, when it's Ferrari that touches the Mercedes, it's cheating, when it's a Mercedes that touches a Ferrari, it's business as usual.

This, in addition to calling Bottas Lewis's wingman, you can see the class of Toto and Mercedes this season.

So Bottas did get a 10 second penalty as well as 2 points on his license. Doesn’t make a difference still 5th.

Again though with the inconsistent 5 to 10 second penalities.

Wolff: "Bottas is a fantastic wingman".

Arrivabene: "Let kim alone. He is a world champion".

Different class Toto. You will never be like us, gangster.

That was brilliant timing when they decided to let Christian Horner do some commentary just as Ricciardo was about to overtake Bottas and then they had to yank the mic away when his driver almost got taken out. They were apologising for what he said after the collision but I didn't hear him say anything untoward?

Haha my dad and I were pissing ourselves. We even rewound it at the time so we could hear what he said but you were right he didn't say anything just went silent.

 Yeah I bet they don't invite someone who is emotionally invested in the race to commentate live again!

Game over. STUPID feckING FERRARI!

you need to stand back and have a serious word with yourself. Its embarrassing.

Bottas 10 second penalty further highlights the need for change, its a joke.
He hasn't been penalised at all.
His incident with Vettel was more a racing thing although if there was blame it was Bottas who was at fault.
His incident with Ricciardo was reckless, damaged front wing & worn tyres, did he think he could win that battle?

FWIW if Ferrari get there act together I still think they will win the title.

Its the second race weekend in a row that he's been caught out by the rain. He doesn't have the ability to adapt to unfavourable conditions like Lewis.

doesn't make any sense. He fecked up in Germany.

Hungary, the Mercs were better in the wet.

I guess that sort of answered your original question then. He fecked up.

He's a fantastic driver clearly. But he's got a better car than Lewis this year and has nothing to show for it. I feel if you put Lewis in a Ferrari; he'd still be first.

the question was what did he do wrong today, nothing to do with last week or even yesterday

the guy said he has been a massive disappointment once again.

what did he do wrong ?
He didn't drive anywhere near his best despite having the fastest car on track.

This isn't the same Seb that won championships with Red Bull, he fluctuates from being too conservative like today and being too aggressive like last week. He really needs to sort himself out, he should be way ahead of Kimi not within distance where team orders are needed to ensure he stays ahead of Kimi.

Last 2 races i get the impression Kimi was faster than Seb only for team order denying him go ahead.

he started 4th, finished 2nd on a track that is very difficult to overtake.

Pitstop held him back from a possible challenge on Hamilton although I doubt he would have caught him.

When the cars are where they are design wise meaning you need to be 2 seconds a lap faster than the car in front to get near them in dirty air on a track that has always been nearly impossible to pass on even back in the days of single element front wings and simple shapes/rear wings, what was he supposed to do?

Where did you see team orders so that he stays ahead of Kimi ? are we watching the same races ? the only 'team orders' were when he was quicker than Kimi and they were on different strategies. let's stop making things up. or maybe you're confused with the orders of other teams ?

Re Vettel, the only race where he messed up was last week, that was all on him. This race he was able to overtake both Kimi and Bottas and he could have challenged Lewis if not for the botched pit stop.

Lewis drove excellently but was helped by Mercedes sacrificing Bottas for him. The race would have been different otherwise.

I was gonna say that it could be a good opportunity for Alonso to get a seat at a good team but then, i remembered that he was constantly shitting on Honda last year o_O.

It's Renault. Ocon stays FI, presumably Sainz to McLaren unless Red Bull takes him. Gasly replacing Ricciardo? Bit underwhelming.

Guess he's taking a leaf out of Hamilton's book and gambling Renault will improve massively overthe next couple of years If not, could see him forcing a move to Mercedes.

Wow. Were their rumors of Renault prior to today? If there was, I must have missed them. Crazy move on paper! You can only look at that as a serious step down, which is undeserved. Does he know something that we don't though? He must have been promised grand plans. Hope for his sake it's more a Hamilton moving to Mercedes moment than a Alonso moving to McClaren moment.

Makes sense. Red Bull don't need 2 top drivers on high salary competing with each other in a transition year where they surely won't be challenging for championship.

Gasly will be a good nr. 2 for them and Ricciardo will be in a better position to move to the right team in 2021. when new PU concept kicks in.

He didn’t have many options, the Red Bull Honda combination might go either way, suspect they are looking at long term for competitiveness.

Renault will be paying him very well, he’s secured his future and they might come good. It’s probably the difference between fighting for 4th/5th to 7th/8th but for a lot more money.

He made mistakes in both Baku (overshot into turn 1 with a few laps to go) and France (crashing into Bottas on lap 1) that cost him points as well. Without those 3 mistakes he would be at the top of the standings right now.
