F1 2018 Season

Just a question: what is the difference between Vettel-Grosjean and Hamilton-Grosjean? Both should be a penalty, right?
Assuming you mean Vettel-Sainz (as in this incident, I don't know if there is a previous incident between Vettel and Grosjean that you're referring to), there is a pretty obvious difference. Grosjean lost his lap, Sainz nearly crashed into the back of him and had to jump off the track to avoid it. One is silly and should recieve a reprimand and/or a small penalty and one is actually dangerous and should get a much stronger sanction. All of the other incidents that Ferrari fans online have been digging up today are similar to the Hamilton one in that it should be a reprimand but not much more and this one unfortunately isn't all that similar. Shame cos I was looking forward to a good battle tomorrow.

So Vettel should have got a worse penalty? What do you want? Hamilton got it in the bag. No need for further action.

Why is the race so damn late? Central Europe, it always started at 14:00 CET.

It'll be all over after first 10 laps, so it's a moot point, but still shitty scheduling. Surely they knew the times of World Cup.

They also know the times of Moto GP Assen race which draws more fans then Formula 1 and some of those motorsport fans want to see both.

First 10 drivers at Assen are inside 0,4 of a second. That's non spec racing at it's finest.

As for Vettel penalty, it's just Vettel making rookie mistakes (or Ferrari if they didn't radio him to move out of the way) which is something Hamilton and Mercedes in general don't make.

Still, the way penalties are given by FIA is probably the most inconsistent type of "refereeing" I have ever seen in any sport.

So fecking annoying and unnecessary by Ferrari. Ruining the race in terms of excitement tomorrow as well.

Kimi won't be able to put pressure on Hamilton even on the ultras. Easy Merc 1-2, Bottas will probably bag this with Hamilton extending his lead.

Vettel to finish P4 behind Max on the podium.

Today is so nice with MotoGp Assen as appetizer, F1 as side dish and WC's 16 round as main course.

No... My view is Vettel deserved more of a penalty than the guilty driver in the other incidents that have been brought up. He received that so I think that is fair.

Don't listen to the haters man. Your posts are the only thing that keeps the boring races interesting :D
I know i should be calmer. It's just that every year we seem to be very close to finally win the title again, but we always come short in the end.

What happened with Ricciardo and Verstappen? I only caught a glimpse of it and heard Verstappen complaining about something

They have to towed each other in Qualifying in order to keep up with the lack of pace they had. This time was Ric to towed Max but he got upset because couldnt get towed once at all in 3 chances and Max refused to overtake Ric because it would be he towed Ric again. Basically they just being competitive and wont let each other gain too much advantage.

Am afraid you'll have lot more incidents to test your patience as Ferrari always have a cock up in them.

If Kimi can jump Lewis on the first lap with the softer tyres then he will presumably try backing Lewis into the pack, might lead to a good fight between Lewis and the Ferraris (and maybe even Max) for the podium places.

Great racing in that first lap. Can't believe Kimi managed to lose places after nailing the start.

So Max is going to get away with that nudge on Kimi which ultimately ended up with him gaining the place.. seems consistent FIA.
