Evra To Barca?

With the squad that Barca are building i'm sure more then a few players will consider an offer from them. I don't think Evra will leave, or that we will sell (especially since we don't have anyone ready to replace him), but lets face it. Evra has won everything he can with United...so it's not beyond the realm of possibility that he will listen to opportunities to play at the Nou camp.

Thank feck he hasn't won the FA Cup :D

I think we'd sell him if they came up with £20m+ bid.

I think there is only Rooney, Valencia and Nani (and obviously the old gang) in our entire squad that wouldn't have a £20m+ bid accepted :(

We'd sell Nani for £20m+ as well, not sure about Valencia but if the bid was close to £30m, we'd probably sell him too. Rooney would cost £50m+. Everyone has his price when you're in United's current position.

and who do we buy, and the 20m will only be put towards the debts....

We wouldn't buy anyone expensive. O'Shea could fill the void for some time, then we'd probably throw Fabio in, meanwhile De Laet could play there as well.

Are you being ironic? You realise that if all this was true then we'd have sold Ronaldo a year earlier and bitten Real's hand off when they offered anything over 40mil.

then we be fecked, it be sad day for us when all our top player start leaving for other clubs....

vidic, rooney, evra etc....

Fergie will reject the offer, saying it proves there's just no value in the market and he can't be involved in a ridiculous price like this.

It's more the feeling that's growing at the club IMO. No we haven't sold many, but attracting the top players to the club and making them want to stay seems a difficult task for us. Everyone dreams of fecking Real Madrid.

We aren't a selling club but honestly any player who we buy cheap and becomes brilliant I have no confidence in us keeping. Vidic will go, Ronaldo went and even Heinze, HEINZE! wanted to leave us for Liverpool. :nervous:

Think I'm damaged goods after Ronaldo left :p
IMO that 'feeling' is coming from fans mainly and may have no bearing on how the club sees itself or other clubs see United.

So.........this the same Barca who are £430 milion in debt and are struggling to afford Cesc?

who also just had to loan 125 million euros so they could pay their players as they weren't able to last month.

It's a good thing to hear.

Think about all the people we are constantly linked with - from small and big clubs, yet very few of our top players ever seem to be targeted. Take it as a compliment.

Evra ain't going anywhere and if he does - I'll fly out and break his legs. Already part of the way there for Legend status - needs to finish up the journey and cement it.

Ronaldo was worth a lot more, he was world's best player at the time - none of our current players is close to that level, only Rooney has a case for being one of the best but not really top 3 or thereabouts.

Nani has only been good for us for the past few months, other than that he's been more of a hit and miss. Perhaps I exaggerated a bit by saying that he'd go for slightly above £20m, closer to £30m I reckon.

Every player in the world that plays for a club that cares for their financial status has his price. There are obviously clubs like Madrid and Barcelona who are under no obligation to sell their best players but in England, most clubs are concentrated on making a profit and cannot refuse lucrative offers like £20m+ for Evra.

That is not an lucrative offer for arguably the best player in his position in the world.

If an offer comes in excess of 30million of Evra, we have to sell him, irregardless of whether we are a selling club or not. He's my favourite player at the moment, but the fact is, he is approaching 30, and has probably 3 years at the top level remaining, and the only way to get the best out of Fabio is for him to play regularly. Sorry lads, but this club has gone through so many transitions and ends up being just as strong always.

No Chance Evra loves the club we love him he isn't going fecking nowhere!!! love you paddy!!!

I never understand it when people say 'make it £XX and you can have him' or similar, we are talking about a first team, ever present player. This is a football club out to win trophies, we don't sell valuable players just because someone offers a lot of money, money can't play at left back so what's the bloody use? We've got one of the two best left backs in the world in our team, so why would we want to sell him?

It's like when people say they'd be ok with Rooney going for £100m, why would you? What do you think will happen with the £100m? It sure as shit won't score goals if you pile it up in the penalty area, and getting a big transfer fee doesn't mean we will sign a worthy replacement, it's like the opposite of transfer muppetry and it's arguably even worse/more annoying.

Not when you quote and the white text appears. :D

fwiw, I would cry if we sold Evra. Like a fecking baby.

I would be sad, but I can see us accepting a big offer considering his age. It would be the sensible thing to do considering our financial status.

Since when? Who apart from Ronaldo who wanted to leave have we sold recently?

Him wanting to leave is implicit from the fact that he had a contract and he left. If he didn't want to leave we wouldn't have been able to sell him.

Out of all our squad this is the one player I have my doubts about staying. Don't know why but I just have a feeling.

Out of all our squad I'd say he's actually the most committed to United
