Everton Ribeiro

Thanks for waiting. Now..

Ribeiro is an excellent player who is shit. He will massively improve our team and is a total waste of money. There are much better players out there and he is just the sort of player we need to stop letting pass us by. He can both play and not play in a midfield two.

/thread

Saves a lot of time for everyone.

He will also easily get a work permit, but never in a million years get a work permit.

He'd be a typical Everton addition. Begins with E and ends with N.

@Adzzz you penis. I was just about to write "Let me be the first person on page 7 to make an Everton FC reference" and you beat me by about 3 seconds!!!

I make it a two minute difference but there you go - well and truly beaten.

That's only because I'd written out one reply which was well intended but reading it back, it made me sound like a right arsehole. So I rubbed it all out and wrote that reply instead.

I came on here before you replied, accidentally refreshed the page and your reply just popped up then. It was just a few seconds. Very well timed.

On topic: as for Everton Ribeiro, how old is he?

 Sums up the posters on here perfectly

Kevin has already expressed his lack of approval for this transfer.

As an impending "Dr. Football" (pull your finger out hectic) I approve of this transfer thus negating all that Kevin has said, this also applies retroactively and for anything he says in the future

Everything I've from people who have seen him play state he's a good player but not United starting quality. Best position is behind the striker too. But he can also play on the left. I've never seen him play but based on the things I've heard I wouldn't want him here.

Kevin has much more insight though.

Are there any players nowadays that don't prefer to play 'behind the striker'?

There are 10 players who play behind the striker though, technically Rafael and Jones also prefer to play behind a striker.

God, don't let Mad Winger find this out. He doesn't need the ego boost of thinking he's a Doctor on Kagawa theory.

So, has anyone ever watched a game involving this chap?

1 and a half games. Looked good. Can he do it in the Prem' god knows? Reminds me of Juninho. So I've no idea what he's actually like but first impressions were good.

would we be doubling our Kagawa problem by signing him or can he actually play in midfield?

12-15mill is alot to us these days on a player we don't really need though. I rather us overpay by that same amount if it means getting Gundogan or Vidal

His signing shouldn't affect us getting those players.

exactly, id expect him to be replacing somebody like Anderson.

our "big money" signings are needed to replace Rio, Evra and Giggs and go straight into the first team at CB, LB and CM.

I'd expecting him to offer us more depth in wide areas than a replacement for Anderson.

After looking at him a bit more

Watched a little bit more of him. The way Moyes likes to deploy Kagawa on the wing, Ribeiro would be perfect for, especially on the right. He's fast, has a great shot on his left, can dribble, good vision. Most importantly though, he's a bugger to get the ball off. It seems glued to his foot at times. Now admittedly this was against Brazilian opposition. I reckon though he'd be the perfect Manchester United January signing. Relatively unknown, would be less than £20 mil, no expectations and will have time to settle in over the half season. If he can then express his style of football for us as he does Cruizero then he'd be a hell of a player. Worth the risk for me.

The Brazilian league isn't the best to judge... But is he strong?

Seeing some rumours AC Milan are after him.

So the offer that was made last week from England wasn't from a club but was from Kia Jorabochim or whatever the hell that leech is called. He wants half his rights and is trying to get him to Shaktar Donetsk.

Really, I don't like how often his name has appeared today. I must admit Ribeiro always sounded like a player who would have to go with a broker/third party owner to get a European move. I thought it would be the Mendes group though. Kia eh.
